That's what I was referring. They're not there yet but it's not from lack of effort. If you draft what you believe to be a franchise QB you gotta give him a chance and provide him weapons.
-
After watching how they drafted Darnold and then did absolutely nothing in the draft or FA to help him develop why would any QB, collegiate or pro want to play for that garbage franchise. I thought I'd never see a more dysfunctional team than the Browns. I was so wrong..

This is very true. The AFC is by far the stronger conference this year. Unfortunately there are other AFC teams with just as good of a shot. If Buffalo can field a fully healthy squad of starters and if they or any other team can catch KC on a bad day it's very possible. Seattle has no D, NO has no Brees, and GB has no fear factor. That being said I'd love to see a Bills/KC AFC Championship Game

Daboll doesn't get enough credit for his trick plays.
billsbackto81 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Daboll's been a true head scratcher of an OC. Some plays you watch and say, "what a brilliant call!" and then it's a "WTH are you thinking"! He's got to stop with the designed runs for Josh in short yard situations. Teams are hip to this already and it showed in the last game. 3rd and 2, 3rd and 3, USE YOUR RB'S BRIAN! Josh has had his best success lately on 1st and 2nd down runs when LB's vacate the middle and he tucks and goes. To be fair this is by far his best season playcalling as our OC. -
How about Bass? He's settling in...
billsbackto81 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't he considered by many to be the best Place Kicker in the draft? Doesn't mean much I guess because so was Aguayo when he was drafted......IN THE 2ND RD!!!😵😵😵What a brain fart that was for Tampa Bay. Anyways, I have more confidence in Bass as a kicker than I do BOJO as a place holder. -
ESPN NFL Playoff Machine (Updated December 22nd)
billsbackto81 replied to TSNBDSC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills would destroy the Browns. Only decent team they've beaten were the Colts. Outside KC I think they can hold their own against any AFC team. Pitt will be a real test to where they stand going into the postseason. -
Impact of Bad Coaching on Good Talent
billsbackto81 replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His in game decisions and time management were baffling. I understand his S/T's are bad and might've given him pause but c'mon Lynn. He'll be out at seasons end. They need someone who can develop Herbert and he's not it. He was gonna start Tyrod over this budding star. Again,.....baffling. -
Can't figure out Devin Singletary.

I like the combo of Motor and Moss. Unfortunately Josh always seems to fall out of sync whenever Daboll tries to establish the run game. -

NFL is determined to have a Buff/ Mia showdown for the title last game -
I don't understand the fear for the Titans at all. Yes we lost but the score was not indicative of how the game went. We played them without Smoke, Tre or Milano. They played the field possession game to the fullest and to their credit took advantage. That interception off Roberts hands the opening drive didn't help. Henry rushed for only 57 yards and Tannehill threw for less than 200. AJ Brown will not abuse Tre like he did Norman and Taron. Plus all the Covid bs and rearranging of scheduling didn't help our cause prep wise. I think we match up well against them and I'd welcome a rematch, especially in Buffalo. Do's: Browns, Titans, Dolphins Don'ts: Ravens, Raiders, Colts

Shouldn’t Diggs be in the MVP race?
billsbackto81 replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Megatron couldn't crack the Top 5 in MVP voting in 2012 when he had 1964 receiving yards what chance does Diggs have? Marvin Harrison had 143 receptions and Randy Moss had 23 TDs. Don Hutson was the last WR to win it,........... Back in 1942 It just doesn't happen and if it does Diggs is gonna have to do a lot better. -
You may have an argument when discussing Wallace and his value as an asset in this zone defense McDermott runs as you don't need to be a superstar to be effective. But Taron Johnson has been a heaping pile of hot garbage this season. He's been the victim of inexplicable big play after big play, getting roasted on a weekly basis.
-
He's not a starting caliber NFL CB. When comparing him to Taron Johnson and Josh Norman, yeah he looks awesome. He's the kinda guy you want on the roster when your starting CB goes down and you need a fill in. That's about it.

Flores: Tua benched, not hurt
billsbackto81 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. That's what I was trying to say. He didn't have it today so they went to Fitz because the team deserves a chance to win. -
Flores: Tua benched, not hurt
billsbackto81 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get it but this isn't a normal situation for the Fins. They're not the Jets sitting winless with nothing to lose. You want to see what you have in Tua moving forward but at the same time you're a game out of the division. You owe it to your team to give them the best chance to win. Tua didn't have it today and wasn't bringing them back. -
Flores: Tua benched, not hurt
billsbackto81 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True, but.... Allen showed elite arm strength, elite athleticism and jaw dropping play ability in his first year and a half. All with Zay Jones, K. Benjamin, R. Foster, F. Gore and other stellar players LOL!!! What has Tua shown? That he can manage a game once his D/ST spots him 14 points and a short field. He's accurate and may get better with more talent but as of right now,....MEH!... -
Flores: Tua benched, not hurt
billsbackto81 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has no deep ball proficiency and lacks awareness under pressure. His D/ST couldn't bail him out this week and after 3 weeks of tape we all saw the real Tua. Verdict: Still early but,....... MEH....... -
Week 11 Around the League

I may stop watching football if that's ruled a TD. As much as I want GB to win, c'mon man! -

I guess it only took 3 games of tape to get a read on Tua the Great. Looks quite mediocre under pressure. -

Ok This Dolphins talk is getting out of hand.
billsbackto81 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True. This team had 10 wins wrapped up by Week 14 last season. They let off the throttle when the division was still a possibility. They went on the road in the playoffs flat and on a 2 game losing streak and it hurt. Going into the postseason with momentum is always a good thing. -
Jets Release Pierre Desir - Ravens Expected To Sign Him
billsbackto81 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's amazing how players lose their love of competition for the game after they sign with the Jets. He was a much better player with the Colts and a better zone DB than he has shown.
