  1. Isn't that him next to Morse in the widescreen shot?
  2. I suspect almost nobody here got the ESPN coverage of the Superbowl. It is something that I believe they do exclusively for their Australian & NZ audience. So...immediately after the game, Louis Riddick's first monologue was as follows: This victory started after the SB loss to Tampa. Chief's GM Brett Veach, as soon as that game was over, on the bus ride out of the stadium, thought to himself and then turned to Andy Reid and said "I will fix this O-Line. That will not happen to us again. We will not have our QB under duress like that ever again, if I can help it" And then immediately he went to work. He went out and signed Joe Thuney, he drafted Creed Humphrey, they got Orlando Brown, got Trey Smith. And the result?- to lose Tyreek hill, lose CEH on on IR, and draft a RB in the 7th - get out of here! Your move Beane.
  3. 17mil per is still WAY too much for what he brings. All-Pro Milano is on 11mil per. Is Tre a 54% better or more valuable player than Milano? No sale Gooner!
  4. I just pray that she makes a full recovery - or close as possible to it
  5. Turkey is in a real bad spot - 3 tectonic plates meet around about 200-300 miles from Istanbul if I recall correctly.
  6. I have a half eaten bag of Doritos if that helps
  7. Dunno how exactly, but somehow the Pats will get a comp pick
  8. What about his brother, Vic?
  9. I wonder if he would be the first ever Pro-Bowl selection to be cut from a roster?
  10. Kudos to Knox, it is recognition of the fact that he is a good chain mover and red zone target who is also a de-facto sixth lineman. Well deserved IMO.
  11. I can only answer this when I see the changes in coaching and playing roster. My gut tells me there will be cosmetic improvement only.
  12. This was not the lead news item on ESPN this week, I am shocked.
  13. I distinctly remember guys on the Colts board saying that Hines was not a 3-down or short yardage RB, and that Reich was not utilising his skill set when Taylor got injured. So we need to take this into account - he cannot be a straight swap for Motor. Singletary has been labelled too small and not a thumper but I call BS on that one. Who can forget his final rush to get the first down against the fish - he literally carried 3 guys to seal the game. Not sure how anyone can be an effective RB behind that line. I think 4.6 yards per carry is pretty good under the circumstances. Given that Cook is almost certain to stay, it seems inevitable that one of the other two may be shown the door. And unless Motor is prepared to take a pay cut then I fear it will be him.
  14. Put your hand up if you think we don't need at least two starting quality O-linemen. As for free agents, not sure what we can afford. I sure as hell don't want another Saffold.
  15. If we beef up the O line then yes, we are still vastly superior at the most important position.
  16. Buscaglia you're a real party pooper.
  17. I blame the Mexican immigrant with no green card who polishes the floors - never liked that guy.
  18. This may well be a valid contributing factor as to why we were soundly beaten but really, it's a distant third on the reasons why we lost list, the first two being soft play on both sides of the LOS and coaching / preparation.
  19. Sounds good Gooner! I would also like you to expand that topic on O-line draftees which you opened before Christmas. I'll dig it out later.
  20. What I don't get is how we all see it - and have seen it for the past 2-3 years - but they don't. It's irritating and perplexing beyond belief.
  21. I would say that Singletary is a good RB and could be even better behind a proper run blocking OL - so I disagree with you slightly on his assessment. The rest of your analysis is, sadly, bang on the money. The picks used on all these guys have been wasted. Only the 3rd rounder used in the trade for Kelvin Benjamin can be considered a bigger waste IMO.
  22. Your analysis is completely validated, but only on the proviso that: - He demonstrates that he is serious about making changes, either at the DC or OC position, as well as perhaps the DL coach - He (along with BB) heavily prioritises the offense at both the draft and free agency I think he has earned the right to try and fix what is broken.
  23. Yep. Our six-man O-line couldn't withstand a three-man pass rush. And thus Knox is wasted. Barf.
  24. Guy might be a scumbag but as the old saying goes -winners are grinners and the losers can please themselves.
  25. I have been fairly consistent with my thoughts on McD - the best NFL coach with regards to establishing a team-first culture and setting standards, but questionable as a game-day coach and as a sounding board when it comes to drafting and trading. That said, it sounded to me like his exit interview was full of accountability. Yes, there were some cliches and platitudes, but for the most part I thought it sounded very genuine. I certainly don't think he has deserved some of the vitriol he has copped from some here, even though the buck stops with him. My gut feeling based on his comments is that some big changes are coming.
