Why hasn’t noodle arm signed a monster contract yet

Worse in my opinion but it’s still early and at this time last year not many were talking about Daniel’s as a high end QB so things do change. I also think if you are in the range to draft a possible franchise QB and you need one you need to take that chance . Next year is not always a guarantee

Problem is that the 2025 QB class is trash

I think Odunze is the target anyways if we are moving up assuming Harrison is gone He clicks all the boxes especially the character and work ethic ones AD Mitchell continues to be my guy

True but drafting a rookie QB likely buys that management group another year or two. We all know Danny Dimes isn’t the answer so sticking with him is a death sentence

True but Schoen really can’t be feeling comfortable hitching his wagon to Daniel Jones. Something needs to be done at the QB position or he and Daboll are going to be canned after next year

We were never trading for a high end WR that needed a new contract anyways .

I agree with the premise but have you seen the run of WR needy teams at the top of round 2? I think there are 5 of them between 33-38 so trading back behind those teams seems very sub optimal to me.

Bears should take which of the big 3 WR are left at 9 to pair with Caleb and they can grow together . Would be the best thing they could do for their franchise QB development

But this is the worst year to draft one for two reasons. 1. It’s a horrible RB draft class of epic proportions. It’s a huge bunch of JAG types. Next years class is LOADED with talent. 2. We don’t quite know what we have with Cook yet. If he establishes himself then maybe a mid round guy next year, but if he shows he can’t carry the load or isn’t up to par we need to invest in one high next year. Those are my reasons to wait on RB until next year.

I’ll say it again like I’ve said before, we don’t have the cap space for Aiyuk or Higgins . No point in discussing

@Solomon Grundy @HappyDays You two seem to be the resident Coleman fans. Can you elaborate what you like about him and how he’s going to be successful at the next level? And why he is worthy of pick 28? I’ve been vocal about my disdain for Coleman and why he is not worthy of being picked in round 1 with all the red flags I see, however I’m always open to ideas and seeing new perspectives on players .

Considering those two guys were picked up in the last two drafts it’s clear it’s part of the draft philosophy when it comes to pass catchers .

Franklin is 6’2 but he has the frame to add some size and muscle. My guess is that he would top out close to 190 which is totally fine

Agreed. Which is a huge reason I really hope it isn’t Coleman. He can’t separate vs college guys how is he going to do it in the pros? Also what has Beane said in the past about the combine? It doesn’t matter to him as much as film does which is why Franklin is still likely high up on their list .

And worst yet Coleman is likely best suited for the slot position at the next level

I still want to trade up for one of the top 3 guys. A young elite WR to spend his career with Josh would be perfect I also think it’s Odunze the Bills would love. High, high character and work ethic with incredible hands. The most all around WR in the class
