I definitely agree that throwing under pressure is key. However there is a difference to me with throwing under pressure and throwing on the run. Allen had a horrific oline and bad wr. That didn't help.
He needs to work on his feet mechanics for sure and his accuracy will improve.
His accuracy issues are far overblown. Study the tape. Watch every throw. When he isnt running for his life and can throw behind a good pocket he makes excellent accurate throws. He struggles when his feet arent set.
Bump.
Watched Path to the draft with the Giants. Jeremiah sort of alluded to the Bills trading up to 6 and then to 2 with the Giants. Makes sense to me!
Problem is you dont win without them. Its a QB driven league and always will be. If you need a QB you have to do whatever I to get one.
Teams that already have franchise QB have a much easier time sticking to their draft board and not reaching.
Now here's the thing. If you watch Allen, when he has time to set his feet properly he makes beautiful throws, where his accuracy goes to crap is when they are all over the place. Trouble for Allen was his oline was garbage and he was constantly running for his life and thus not getting his feet set properly. It's a correctable issue.
The question is. Which 3 of Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Mayfield or possibly Jackson are the Ben, Eli, Rivers of the draft, and which 2 are the JP Losman.
Because i highly doubt all 5 of these guys all turn out to be franchise QBS.
So you are comfortable settling for the number 3 guy? What happens if Beane doesnt think the 3Rd guy is a franchise guy?
Dont settle for a Qb. You go up and get your franchise guy whatever it tskes
Has more to do with settling and reaching on QB than it has anything to do with a similar skill set. We need a qb its obvious, but don't take one just for the sake of taking one because we need one.
