  1. Except they also have Hardman, Mahomes, and Hill. Does the combo of Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Algohor, and 37 year old Edelman make you nervous? Or Cam at QB? I mean, people are actually panicking because they signed 2 TE's that combined JUST north of 1,000 yards last year?
  2. This might be the worst take i've seen here in a while. I've not once seen anyone mention his dreads. Is he great? no. Is he "lousy"? Also no.
  3. Uhhh, i'm not a GM and I don't have specifics. Tell me why Dak just got more money than Aaron Rodgers, Watson, Wilson, etc? You can't. It's a market. As the salary cap goes up, so do QB numbers. "Tell me how much" like I know an exact number hahaha How about this: You tell me how much Josh's contract is going to be. Insane and asinine to assume you can.
  4. I don't think I have to "trust you" to know it's a good problem to have a QB that won a SB/MVP. I think you're under estimating how much that would blow his price up.
  5. They lose a lot more money if Josh goes out and wins an MVP/ SB.
  6. Yupp. That's what i'm saying... given the circumstances, i dont think he played that bad.... at all. I really think Casey makes a lot of sense.
  7. Star comes back.. which will help. I'd love to us make a run at Jurrell Casey. This would allow us to use Oliver and Phillips in that 3T role. I think Phillips will grow into a nice 1T eventually as well. I want to see Oliver in the position we drafted him to be to truly assess his performance. I, for one, don't think he was as bad at 1T as many think he was for being a 285lb 1T
  8. I think move on. This year specifically, those 2-3 million dollars a year are huge.
  9. 100%. I would not pay him 10-12. I'd gladly GLADLY pay 8.5. I think the bolded is interesting. I'll go look back at his time in Carolina. I can't remember for sure how he was there.
  10. Yupp and allowed us to move Ford to guard. Williams did struggle at times run blocking. To play devil's advocate here a little, with Josh Allen as your QB, wouldn't we want to keep a RT (if we can get a good salary comp) that can pass block with room to improve for run blocking as opposed to the opposite?
  11. He's going to be in the 10-12m per year range, probably... pass.
  12. I agree. I'd take Casey. I want to get younger but we've been putrid against the run in recent years and he'd be a great addition. I'd welcome him at a 2 year 10-12 mill contract, let Butler and Jefferson go. I think with Casey and Star.... Oliver and Phillips' game would elevate.
  13. That's incredibly wishful thinking. I could see "hometown deal" in the 30-35 range. That would still be cheap for him at this point... saving us ~3-5 mill off Watson. Allen has quite a bit of wiggle room in getting a higher contract than him.
  14. No one said that. It's in a discussion for the off-season. No one said "gotta be signed immediately" It's a discussion of when you do it. This off-season or wait? Did you even read the article?
  15. Yeah, I agree with the last part. I think getting it done this off-season should be up there in priority before his price tag rises.
  16. I see what you're saying but they haven't given us worry that they are not focused on bettering the team in all aspects.
  17. Exactly, I would absolutely agree with that. I wonder what they do with Edmunds, it will be interesting.
  18. On the bolded, Right, just like with Tre (and Mahomes really), the new money wouldn't start for another 2 years, after his 5th year option. I also think we need to keep Star(maybe restructure) but last year, it seems as though he was sorely missed. Him being back will allow Ed Oliver to play 3T where he belongs. (not to get the thread de-railed just wanted to respond to that). If it happened today, I'd be completely ok with it.
  19. I couldn't agree more. I feel like our front office reallllly does their due diligence on the character of players we bring in. The Vernon Butler signing surprised me a little for this reason, however, he was not an issue last year. That's another testament to McDermott.
  20. Josh Allen Article In my opinion, I think you do this sooner rather than later. I know his cap won't hit next year, however, we may be able to play with the salary cap issue in our favor. Another reason I think you do this sooner rather than later, let's say Josh goes out and wins and MVP (or Super Bowl) next year, his price blows up. I think it's a no-brainer to do this thing ASAP.
