Why is McD not being talked about as coach of the year?
Sweats replied to Antonio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man, i don't get it, someone please make it all make sense. One week, McClappy needs to go cause he is just not getting the job done.......the next week, people are saying he should be coach of the year? What the hell is wrong with you people?!?.......pick a side and live with it. -
This is one tough week...... I know the Ravens are down sliding lately, but i think they give the Chargers all they can handle this week. Ravens for the win. Niners expectations have dropped lately, and they are way underachieving these days. I'm not sold on GB this year. Niners for the win. How low can the Cowboys go? They are terrible and they aren't getting any better anytime soon......with that being said, 10.5 is ridiculous. I would run far and run fast from this one.....i wouldn't go anywhere near this one

turns out America likes watching Allen-Mahomes games
Sweats replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, you know what you're going to get with a Mahomo/Allen rivalry, which is why i think people tune in for this one. You know it's going to be a close game, tight action, some INT's, good plays, bad plays, end to end action and both QB's lobbing the occasional bomb........like really, what's not to like? Most people tune in with the expectation of, "what's going to happen next?!?" and they aren't wrong. They certainly aren't tuning in to listen to Romo, i can tell you that. -
December 15th at Detroit is the Game of the Year
Sweats replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
This one could absolutely be an extreme slugfest between the two of them.......Detroit is one of the most aggressive teams i can ever remember hitting the field each week. They completely dominate everyone with their talent, schemes, coaching, etc. I don't know how well we stack up against them, but i do know that if we can't match the Lions intensity, this game will be over before it starts. I certainly think we will be lucky to come away with the win, however, i still believe we can match up with any team in this league.......a bounce here, a bounce there, some lucky plays, some INT's, etc. If ever there was a time for our D to step up, this is it. -
Couldn't have happened to a more deserving franchise.

I wanted McDermott to call a TO with 13 seconds left...
Sweats replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
You know, that's something ole Sweats would have done, but i've never really been known for making good decisions -
Josh Allen Punched in the head two weeks in a row
Sweats replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shockingly enough, no flag, no penalty, nothing. If that was his Almighty Darth Mahomo Lordship, there'd be people fined, fired and looking for work next week. ........disgusting -
Honestly, i think this whole save the big passing plays and let runners have their way with us was just not a good game plan against the Ravens.......we had no answers, refused to adjust and had players out of position for most of the game. I'd like to go against them again and see if it was just a "one off".

I work with a woman named Aubrey........we can't stand her.

Something different/special about the 24 Bills
Sweats replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was fairly early in the season for these ones and we were still trying to sort things out......they've seemed to figure it out and get on the right track, so i'm giving them a pass on these 2 debacles. The Steelers won last week be scoring 6 FG's and no TD's.......i don't think they are scaring too many teams. -
I had Covid for the first time about 3 weeks ago and i'll tell you that even though i'm a young 55, my head was in a complete fog for almost 2 weeks. I was lost, confused and just had a hard time even doing simple tasks. I've never had that feeling before and certainly never want to ever have it again........as you've all seen on these boards, my mind is my life and the crown jewel of my existence. I think once the Covid has gone, she will be back to her semi-self. I know that everyone experiences Covid differently and i was in rough shape for a couple of weeks, however, once it 100% went away, i was back to my old self. You have to remember that if someone has dementia, Covid and is on meds, well that's going to do a real number on you. That's a bit of a trifecta go9ing on right there. Give her a little time and see how it plays out, but i am confident that once the Covid is gone, things will ease up for you a bit. Wish i could help more........my mom had dementia for a bunch of years and it's not easy and it doesn't get any easier, my friend.

The only thing that matters is.........what does Goodell, the refs and Taylor Swift think of all this?!?

Big Baller Beane for the win

Now i don't know if this means anything but my son drank all my beer and left me with nothing, like not even one beer left in the house, so i drank wine all weekend instead. Now don't get me wrong, i could have gone to the store to get more beer, but i didn't out of spite, as he should be the one to buy another case, but my wife had bottles of wine laying around and i hit that hard. Let's figure out some simple math.......Sweats + wine + a ham and cheese sandwich + beating KC = ........i don't honestly know what the hell it means, but i do know it worked out well for ole Sweats.

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Sweats replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was one of the ones that was actually happy about the Spiller pick. It was definitely a luxury pick and one that we couldn't afford to waste, however, i don't blame Nix for wanting to try to "jump start" the team with drafting Spiller. He was a gadget guy and a one trick pony that we didn't need, however, the team was struggling for a lot of years up to that point, so the FO made the move.......i don't fault them for it. They knew they would eventually get rid of Lynch, so they numbers made sense, and they were hoping Spiller would be more of a Reggie Bush type, but that didn't happen. It was one big ole swing and a miss, but the FO was open to trying anything at that point. -

It certainly looked like Reid was giving a giant big ole **** you to the Bills by showcasing Worthy early and often. -
I'll go one better and say the whole team is fun to watch this year.......they look loose and look like they are having fun.

.........shocking

I felt like with Coleman being out of the lineup that Samuel saw his moment to shine and took the opportunity to showcase what he could do.

Josh Allen Punched in the head two weeks in a row
Sweats replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
It truly is strange what the refs are calling penalties these days.......guys getting punched in the head, face masks getting pulled, etc. are all just the norm of the plays i guess cause they aren't getting called, but if an Olineman steps more than 2 feet over the LOS and is ineligible downfield, the refs are all over it like it's an unforgivable sin. I don't get it.- 74 replies

Honestly, the next draft will by far be one of the worst for any team to pick a QB.......there's not a whole lot of splash players to choose from. It seems that there are about 10-15 really good players worth drafting and not a whole lot of mid players and a whole bunch of subpar with QB's not real worthy of going in the first IMO

JA keeps playing this good and Lamar will be MVP in no time..........................................................................................................................(rolls eyes)

Sweats replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
It almost seemed like in the 2nd half that Cooper and Worthy were nonexistent. I felt like both HC's figured they'd neutralize each other's deep threats and force the game to the middle where both teams' strengths actually lie. McD can hang his hat on besting Reid over that chess match.
