  1. Possible - but since we know that Allen is anti-vaccine - doubt McB will want to be one QB injury from someone unknown starting at the most important position. Of course, if Allen is vaccinated by the time the season rolls around, McB might be comfortable going with 2 QBs, which is the question we are addressing.
  2. Oh Dline for sure. We will not go with 10 there. Especially if our QBs are not vaccinated, no way do we go in with just 2.
  3. Broncos just made him the highest paid safety in the league. He appears legit - cant say top 50 legit or not for sure - but pretty pretty solid.
  4. Discuss/justify. Given McD's love of DL rotation, if Butler and Phillips don't make it, AFAIK that would leave Star Lotulelei as the only 1TDT on the team. I don't see that happening. Who makes it instead? The Doyle thing is a puzzle to me - drafting him, plans for him, all of that stuff. 1. a. The drafting of Rousseau and Basham and the emergence of Epenesa has to make Addison expendable since Addison cannot play ST. Not enough roster spots to make the math work. There is even an outside chance that the Bills trade Hughes, in which case they may retain Addison. But, at this point, I think Hughes' play is a notch above Addison's. By the time TC ends, the kids woulda learned a lot from Addison. b. Bills are signing a bunch of DTs to the roster. And these look like guys, who, if they have recovered fully from their injuries, could contribute if given a chance. In other words, they appear to be more than camp bodies, which tells me they are not fully sold on Phillips / Butler. c. Also, Boogie and, in a pinch, Rousseau, can slide inside. That, and the availability of players cut by other teams, can make one or both of Butler and Phillips expendable. If Rousseau and / or Basham show enough inside, we may say goodbye to both Butler and Phillips (and maybe keep Addison). If they dont show enough inside, we may say goodbye to Addison and one of Butler or Phillips. 2. Good point. I was puzzled by the Doyle pick for a long time as well. Only way I can rationalize is that - Bills philosophy in rounds 3 and above appears to be "throw enough dirt and some will stick". They needed a big tackle to clear space for the run game and chose two of the bigger guys out there. Tells you that while being intrigued by Brown, they were not fully sold on him ex-ante. So Doyle was insurance. Not a totally convincing rationale, but that is all I got. Early returns appear to suggest Brown sticks (he is a higher draft pick after all) and Doyle does not.
  5. I counted 7 - Adams, Hopkins, Hill, Robinson, Jones, Brown & Thomas But your point of this being a Diggs snub is certainly valid. For a player like Robinson, the fact he has been catching balls from bad QBs doesnt hurt him - but if Josh Allen is not a great QB, doesnt that make Diggs' 2020 performance standout more? You cant have the cake and eat it too. When a QB - WR duo standout like All-Diggs in 2020, you cannot simultaneously diss both. PFF needs a lesson in internal consistency.
  6. 1. At least two of Butler, Phillips and Addison are not making it. 2. Will go with 3 QBs (so add Fromm) 3. Based on reports from OTAs, not impressed by Doyle so far - so my dark horse cut candidate despite being a 5th rounder
  7. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff50-ranking-50-best-players-nfl-2021 So 11-50 are 11. EDGE T.J. WATT, PITTSBURGH STEELERS 12. RB DERRICK HENRY, TENNESSEE TITANS 13. G ZACK MARTIN, DALLAS COWBOYS 14. CB JAIRE ALEXANDER, GREEN BAY PACKERS 15. T DAVID BAKHTIARI, GREEN BAY PACKERS 16. CB JALEN RAMSEY, LOS ANGELES RAMS 17. WR DEANDRE HOPKINS, ARIZONA CARDINALS 18. WR TYREEK HILL, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 19. DI CHRIS JONES, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 20. LB FRED WARNER, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 21. EDGE JOEY BOSA, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS 22. QB RUSSELL WILSON, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 23. S JUSTIN SIMMONS, DENVER BRONCOS 24. T TRENT WILLIAMS, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 25. EDGE MYLES GARRETT, CLEVELAND BROWNS 26. RB DALVIN COOK, MINNESOTA VIKINGS 27. EDGE NICK BOSA, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 28. T RYAN RAMCZYK, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 29. CB MARLON HUMPHREY, BALTIMORE RAVENS 30. RB CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY, CAROLINA PANTHERS 31. DI CAMERON HEYWARD, PITTSBURGH STEELERS 32. S HARRISON SMITH, MINNESOTA VIKINGS 33. LB ERIC KENDRICKS, MINNESOTA VIKINGS 34. WR ALLEN ROBINSON II, CHICAGO BEARS 35. WR JULIO JONES, TENNESSEE TITANS 36. CB BRYCE CALLAHAN, DENVER BRONCOS 37. DI GRADY JARRETT, ATLANTA FALCONS 43. T TERRON ARMSTEAD, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 44. WR MICHAEL THOMAS, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 45. WR STEFON DIGGS, BUFFALO BILLS 46. T RONNIE STANLEY, BALTIMORE RAVENS 47. CB JAMES BRADBERRY, NEW YORK GIANTS 48. S MARCUS WILLIAMS, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 49. LB LAVONTE DAVID, TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 50. QB DAK PRESCOTT, DALLAS COWBOYS I am guessing their top 10 would be (in some order) 3 QBs - Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers 2 Dlinemen - Donald, Mack 1 OG - Quenton Nelson (PFF's lovefest for Nelson is well known) 1 LB - Bobby Wagner (ditto) 2 TEs - Kelce, Kittle 1 WR - Adams Besides the obvious Allen, Diggs, Tre White snubs, I think Garrett and the Bosas shd be higher and Saquan Barkley, Devin White and Shaquil Barrett belong in that list. Heyward, Robinson, Ramsey, Smith and Johnson are a bit overrated by PFF. Also, pretty boy Brady is being ranked as a top 10 player based on past achievements - that SB was all because of their defense, which carried them.
  8. I dont know - may also mean Horrible Harry didnt wow people at OTAs
  9. NT in a 3-4 is usually more massive than a DT in a 4-3. Cant really compare any 4-3 DT to Ted W.
  10. more like "look what Jalen Ramsey got". Tre's deal is quite reasonable
  11. any disarray within the Fins is always welcome. that said, holding out after the first year of a long extension is the new NFL, I guess. Makes Gilmore look like a saint.
  12. That ship may have sailed. That trade had to happen before we picked up 2 DEs in the past draft. Minnesota is in a win now mode - they are also close to signing Sheldon Richardson - they are not interested in future draft picks. That said, I dont disagree that Danielle Hunter would be awesome in a Bills uni playing for McD. FWIW, Daniel Jeremiah compared Greg Rousseau to Danielle Hunter and said Rousseau is more advanced than Hunter was in college at LSU. There are similarities - but Hunter of 2019 can overpower an Olineman while Rousseau is not there yet. But Rousseau is a lil longer and has great instincts for where the ball is.
  13. Spots are also available on PS and, given the long season, PS guys will get some game day checks. Unless you believe Duke or Gentry will not even make PS.
  14. FWIW, I dont mind giving up a second rounder to the Pats to get him. Would like to see Mahomes throw into White + Gilmore with Hydoyer lurking.
  15. It is a long season (and even longer this time round with 17 games). There will be enough balls for both Hollister and Gentry. There will even be enough balls for a certain Duke Williams. I havent seen anyone mention The Duke in several weeks.
  16. Not a bad thought. At this point, he can be had for the minimum - so it likely wont affect the cap. And he does have an animosity towards Andy Reid - which will make him extra motivated for the KC game. Maybe sign him just before that game:)
  17. Good to know he can serve as a KR / PR in a pinch if lil Dirty cant go. Right now he is too valuable to the Bills to be used as one on a regular basis. Cant risk injury to our All Pro CB.
  18. Whatever that article might say, there are two undeniable facts: a. Mitch is being paid a measly 2.5 mill and is our backup (unlike Chicago) b. Mitch is a significant upgrade over our erstwhile #2, Matt Barkley How quickly the Bears forget that Mitch actually was 29-23 (56%) in career starts. That is a better lifetime record than Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, Ryan Tannehill, Fitzpatrick, Carr, Cousins, Wentz, Foles, Watson, Mariota, Tuhrod and Murray. Even if that was a comment partly in jest, it is so grossly wrong. Trubisky is 29-23 as a starter! How can ya even compare Peterman to Trubisky?
  19. ya think? anyone who spends 5 min on this board could have told JA that. Beane pretty much said it after the KC playoff game that no team needed a game plan to stop Bills' tight ends. And Hollister doesnt really move the needle as of now. With Kyle Pitts joining the Falcons, I think Hayden Hurst, more than Zach Ertz, might be in play for the Bills.
  20. Star has been a no-show at the voluntary OTA's so far and I was thinking he might actually choose to retire. Even McD appeared a bit irritated with his no-show. see https://heavy.com/sports/buffalo-bills/bills-defensive-anchor-leaning-retirement/ But he appears to be working out on his own (guess he has not heard of a guy named Jawuan Jones). Our space eater looks in great shape. We sorely missed him on the inside runs last season and I am glad he will now likely come during the mandatory minicamp. HIs replacements (Jefferson and Oliver) were at least 25 lbs lighter and quite easily run on. His leadership on that defensive line is also very underrated. He is the glue guy there.
  21. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2021/05/27/luke-kuechly-reasons-leaving-panthers-pro-scout-position/ Ok that is that w.r.t his comeback! Also, since he will be busy hunting and fishing in the fall, guess he wont be assuming Morgan's position with the Bills as well.
  22. That is because in the Chicago system the past couple of years, he has been asked to drop into coverage more. He is arguably the best one-man wrecking crew east of the Sierra Madre. 2020 rating https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/khalil-mack/8640 Ranked first among Edge defenders going into 2021 https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-edge-defender-rankings-the-32-best-players-entering-the-2021-nfl-season But we all know pff can be wrong . Here is someone who played against him in 2020 And just for fun:
  23. Milano, Dawkins, Oliver and Mack have the same agent and Mack has apparently become close to Trubisky. So there is a BIlls connection. If Mack doesnt want to waste the best years of his life playing for a non-contender, gains from trade can be had for all sides. It will be in the Bears', Bills' and Mack's interest. The only sticking point is - does the Chicago top brass think they will be competitive this season with Dalton at QB? If they do, then a Khalil Mack trade will likely only happen after they lose in the first few weeks.
  24. Possible. But it is also a fact that a condo is far easier to rent / sell than a unique house.
