  1. Will get some idea of roster battles for ST spots hopefully. Sry Yolo started the thread since I didnt find one yet
  2. But .. he did beat ya to it, my friend. Let him have his day. John Buster Douglases have a right to gloat!
  3. Another ex- Panther yes- but he spent all of 20 days on the Panthers roster on October 2019 - a full 2 years after Beane / McD left. It is possible they had scouted him earlier and played against him in the NFC South while they were with the panthers organization though.
  4. You are right. I forgot about Feliciano's shoulder / Harrel's foot injury and also have no clue what is wrong with Lamp either.
  5. Probably the surest sign yet that the remade defensive line is working well. I think @John Wawrow was the first to recognize it. https://apnews.com/article/sports-nhl-nfl-hockey-buffalo-bills-87c33c457f606672b38e811ab38dc63e
  6. A bit misleading there. If the brass believed so much in Peterman, why did they move up multiple times to draft Allen? And Allen was NOT in a competition in his rookie TC. The plan was to bring him along slowly. The competition was between Peterman and McCarron. Allen did not take any first team reps. But with Peterman unable to find the right color jersies (FYI - Peterman's first pass of 2018 TC was a pick six - sometimes TC can tell a lot), Allen was thrust into the fire. No revisionist history please. Nobody puts Josh in a corner, least of all Peterman! nice find - it is telling when Rodgers has the hots for Kumerow, but Kumerow is now Josh's Girl!! (Ode to Jessie's Girl!)
  7. The Offense and Defense cannot be be clicking simultaneously when going against each other. By all other accounts, it is the Offense that has been clicking with JA not missing a beat. That said, with respect to individual players or position groups, I am glad the Defensive Line is holding its own even without Jerry Hughes. Rousseau, Basham and Obada all flashing. Would like to hear more about how Epenesa / Oliver are doing (other than ripping people's helmets off).
  8. Eagles fans saying Colts' outlook for season improved Jokes aside, Colts starters really caught the injury bug - C Ryan Kelly, CB Rhodes and LB Darius Leonard also appear to be no gos. If it were an NFC contending team, I would have offered Trubisky for a conditional first - but no way do we do that within the AFC.
  9. nice creative idea - drooling at the thought of Allen throwing to Adams and Diggs !
  10. I dont recall any mention of Haslam being won over, though clearly the owner would likely have had the final say. My sources: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/alonzo-highsmith-explains-why-browns-preferred-mayfield-to-darnold-allen-gives-weird-reason-for-not-liking-rosen/ https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/three-questions-each-nfc-west-team-must-answer-before-2021-nfl-season-is-matthew-stafford-ready-to-deliver/ Allen jumped from #5 to #2. And it was at a private workout that Mayfield independently won over Dorsey and Jackson.
  11. I am not so sure of that. I think his leadership traits traits showed through. That is likely why he leapfrogged the wrong Josh. If I am not mistaken, Allen was in the running for #1 along with Mayfield - which tells you his stock was high. That being said, Dorsey did indicate that they chose Mayfield over Allen since excuses had to made for Allen's weaker 2017 results whereas no such excuses were needed for Mayfield.
  12. His trying 2017 college season after a breakout 2016 campaign contributed to making him the leader he is today.
  13. So you are actually saying the Vikings caught a break here since their passing offense can actually improve? Rick was great for us in the run game but fell a bit short in the passing game.
  14. Without going over the 5 page thread, I have to make the mandatory TBD post. With Akers going down, Rams come to mind. Between Breida, Williams and maybe even, Singletary - somebody should be of interest there. Edit: oops - that was the original post - I posted after just reading the title and without even reading the original post. My bad.
  15. Thanks for following up. Exaggerating so you can see the point I am trying to make - can we have a roster with just 89 DTs? You are still not at 90 - so from your perspective there is no need to release a DT. Bills current depth at DT - Star, Oliver, Butler, Horrible H, Zimmer, Bryant, Hester, Ankou. If you still disagree, fine - but the timing of Jones' release when there is no need to get to 90 strongly suggests one or more of three things: a. they are happy with the current depth b. they are bringing in another DT c. Naz sucks From a Bayesian perspective, the news of Short being ready and the Panthers connection just increases the odds of it being b.
  16. They do play the same position no? It is not all about making room for 90 but also how many at each position and in case you didn’t notice we do have a bunch of Dlinemen already.
  17. Just a heads up to OP. Don’t be too upset if the thread is locked. I had a thread yesterday with Cole’s exact Twitter post as you and it was quickly locked.
  18. Very nice analysis. Sanders aside, the graphic showed that Cole Beasley was #1 in the entire league in Positive Play percentage and EPA/Target! I did not know that.
  19. thanks for taking the time to explain. And, I loved the bolded portion.
  20. Not really. There is a lil loophole in the rookie scale that makes 3rd rounders hard to sign. Happens every year with the 3rd rounders.
  21. Nice catch Yolo. Did Beane have a preview of the Short news while releasing DT Nazair Jones 3 days ago? There is a good chance Beane is in early on anything Panthers related. .
  22. Anyone know who the teammate is? Edit: Already a 3 page thread and it appears that we are no closer to finding out who the teammate testing positive is. Just hope it is not one of our starters.
  23. Yes you are right lol. Not just an insinuation - but the substance of the post. Challenging the Bills to either pay him or cut him. And I would not be too upset if the Bills pay him.
  24. Bills cut him - he gets vaccinated and another team pays him more. Sry shda clarified. Yes. I thought I made that absolutely clear - by saying this has not been mentioned anywhere else?
  25. The NFL and NFLPA are fed up with Cole Beasley on his anti-vaccine stance. At this point, he is pretty much daring the Bills to cut him. I happen to think there is more to his actions than a mere anti-vaccine stance. This has not been stated anywhere else but I think his 2021 compensation has a lot to do with it. The guy was voted to the Second Team All-Pro and had the best stats of any slot receiver in 2020. And he played the post-season on a cracked fibula. His 2021 compensation is 5.8 mill in new cash with just 500K guaranteed. It is pretty low for a receiver go got ya nearly 1000 yards last year. The Bills signing an older and less productive (2020) receiver for 6 million must have been pretty brutal. The more I think about it, he is not going to be back in a Bills uni without a fresh deal. And you know what - I think the guy deserves it! I think this whole anti-vaccine stance will be resolved quickly once Beane opens Da Bills' purse strings. So BOLO for a fresh deal for Beasley.
