  1. Yes correct it was on a kickoff. Ball moved to 35 then.
  2. It was Welker who subsequently was traded to the Pats.
  3. UB has 7500 more kids at school than SU and is in Buffalo. Might be why they signed Tyree.
  4. Great SYR QBs in the pros - I got one McNabb. We are talking about third string here. Doubt that either Dungy or Tyree will ever start a game in the NFL - yet alone make a 53 man roster
  5. Worried about McD Try Burger King
  6. Appreciate clarification. I stand corrected. Would hate to be an NFL team personnel employee
  7. Thanks @ColoradoBills for expanding on this...now we are in a quandary! This is from https://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/2019/6/1/18647976/reviewing-the-nfl-rules-regarding-practice-squad-eligibility-pittsburgh-steelers-news Players are practice squad eligible for up to three years. A player uses a year of practice squad eligibility if they receive a paycheck for six weeks (either regular season, bye week, or playoffs) for either of their first two years of eligibility. If a player is on their third year of practice squad eligibility, they only have to be on the practice squad for one week in order for it to count as a year served. Each team is also allowed to carry up to four players on their practice squad who have two or less accrued seasons in the NFL. In other words, every player drafted or signed as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and 2018 are still eligible to be on the practice squad, even if they played in every game in both seasons. But remember teams can only keep four of such players. Additionally, players who have accrued seasons but were active in nine or fewer games during the season do NOT count towards these four positions.
  8. Elliott is a head case so see him as lowest priority. High mileage car with some wacky control issues IMO. Dak/Cooper have good chemistry and see Jerruhh extending them first to avoid FA or Franchise tag.
  9. not an option due to his being active for greater than 6 games last year A player cannot participate on the practice squad for more than three seasons; he is eligible for a third season only if the team has at least 53 players on its active/inactive list for the duration of that player's employment, or have no prior accrued seasons in the NFL (an accrued season is six or more games on the active roster); or if he has accrued a year of NFL experience on a club's 53-man active roster. IMHO OBD lets Croom go on cutdown day. not a good blocker and not physical enough going for the ball. Kroft goes to PUP and they run with Smith, Knox and Sweeney on opening day.

  11. The best part about this guy is his natural ability to flat out run AND break tackles. Fun to watch. Loved the replay of TD vs Colts when the STers were running on field for PAT and Teller and McGhinn had to wave him off field as he didn't understand what was next. Cheering for him but expect he lands on Bills PS for all of 2019. 12. Not eligible as active roster with Bills all last year and previously with jets Other than those four players, eligibility is limited to players who have been on an active roster for fewer than six games, or were on a 46-man active gameday roster for fewer than nine games. A player is allowed on the practice squad for up to two years, with one year counting as six weeks in a season

  14. I think we might see Croom get the broom. If Knox is back for game 4 they put Kroft on PUP and keep Smith, Knox and Sweeney for now and use extra spot for OL, WR or TE. Then make a roster move when Kroft comes off PUP. Usually there is an injury in first few weeks that will effect one of those position groups.
  15. So the AFL had an All-Star game and the fact that there were only 8 teams in that league meant it was easier to make an AllStar team. 21 picks by DBs alone in 14 games is impressive by any standard. Passing game was more downfield then with lower completion percentages and more pickoffs. Good post but believe it was Odomes who went to SEA and never played again.
  16. 32 INTs and surrendered only 16 pts per game. Bills Defense allowed only 4 rushing TDs all year 4 starting DBs had 21 total INTs alone. Granted a different era but they were the best secondary I’ve ever seen play
  17. Lol. Every guy in Bills secondary made it that year. Never happened with any other nfl team in same year since. So that 65 team was unreal.
  18. Some perspective. The 1965 Buffalo Bills entire starting 4 secondary - Booker Edgerson and Butch Byrd CBs and George Saimes and Hagood Clark made the Pro Bowl and Saimes and Byrd were First Team All Pro. None of the current Bills secondary have ever made the Pro Bowl or been All Pro. So the easy answer is they are not the best Bills secondary ever...not yet anyways.
  19. Ice Bowl. Do the GB players like Rodgers? Seems like they don't
  20. Oliver: Are the fines for headshots lower in the preseason?
  21. yes, agreed but that is why he would be a surprise. Keep an eye on Dodson - looked good last week lining them up and was all over the field too.
  22. Surprise Cuts - not that i want to see them necessarily Yeldon Croom Teller Foster Love Yarborough Stanford
  23. hmmm - never thought of it that way. Could be Acho gave way to Mack in CHI. Very smart and assignment sound player.
