  1. For this season using the LA game as an example is pretty off because he didn’t start.... Against NO and NE (1st game) he scored 6 points. How do you even use those games as examples? The D sucked no doubt, but what the !@#$ did the O do? NE has put up over 30 points in 7 games this year, over 25 10 times this year. We were one of 6 teams to hold them under 25 points and Taylor put up a whopping 3 !@#$ing points. Going into those games we know we need to put up a lot of points, our O averaged 6 points a game, under 10 if you count the Benjamin TD. We also got 7 points from a Poyer INT In the second game. Listen, I understand the D was bad but they have helped in almost all our wins the past 3 seasons. They are at fault for games as well as this offense. Over the past 3 years we have close to 10 games where Taylor has had the ball in hand in position to win or tie. That could make a big difference on our record even if he just won a few of them. He’s just too inconsistent.
  2. Better offense then defense I can agree with, but we still only won games where our defense showed up.... Taylor has 3 wins when our D has given up over 20 points the past 3 season (1 per season), 5 when giving up over 17..... He’s had the ball a number of times each season in games in position to win or tie and has came up short (twice this year). Doesn’t matter what the score is, you have the ball in hand late in games you either get the job done or you don’t. That’s the difference in being a good team or not. When all aspects of the game is going good Tyrod can be relied upon. When you need a big play, successful drive or just need to put the O on your back and simply go out and outscored your opponent Tyrod just doesn’t get the job done. He can’t be relied upon. This is the most important position in sports and we need better.
  3. Look around the league man, most QBs wear the C on their jersey. It’s almost a mandatory part of the position.... He handled him self with poise and professionalism, yippeee! He struggled to throw the !@#$ing ball. He led one of the worst passing attacks in the NFL..... We made it to the playoffs by the skin of our teeth and some people want to give him more credit then he actually deserves because of it. Glad McD is coaching this team. He atleast made it clear he wants better.
  4. Taylor did not lead this team to the playoffs, our defense did and Shady with a big help from Hauska. Don’t forget that. We had things go our way which helped get us in, that can not be argued.... If Taylor did a good job we would not be having this discussion. We would not be talking about tiebreakers, we quite possibly finish 11-5 and would be in position to host a playoff game... You can blame that on the stellar performance he displayed against Carolina and Cincinnati. And our passing game is !@#$ing terrible, does that not have anything to do with Taylor? Thank god our season came down to Andy Dalton needing to get in the endzone and not Taylor.... At some point you have to rely on your own QB, not someone else’s. If we could do this with Taylor, we’re possibly 11-5 this season. If you want we can look back and see how many times he failed in these types of situations the past 3 years.....
  5. I think him being sat is the defining moment.... Says this coaching staff is not happy with how he plays on the field. Sure, he’s a better option then Peterman but McD wants more out of our QB position. Hopefully it is found in the offseason. Its exciting to be in playoffs, and Taylor has been helpful with the way he protects the ball. That’s not enough. If we didn’t win the tie breaker there would be no questioning Taylor’s value and it seemed to risen because we ended this drought. Not only do we owe a lot of thanks to Dalton and the Bengals, we owe some thanks to the Dolphins for playing a third string QB. Its nice to have some luck go our way for a change though.
  6. I don’t understand the love for Darnold, the couple times I watched him his wind up seems like it’s almost in slo motion. He’s gonna get picked off a lot in the pros. I liked Mayfield all year, his accuracy and anticipation is insane. He’s beginning to rise though so get him might be a problem. I’m not too sold on any of these to pay the price of moving up. I think we could keep our picks and draft Luke Falk in the second. He could quite possibly turn out to be the best QB in this draft. Great poise, moves well in the pocket, accurate, will take hit to make throw, arm strength not top notch but good enough to make all the throws. Had a slide in production this year but played most of the season with broken left wrist. Sure it wasn’t his throwing hand but still has to an effect when taking some hits to make throws.
  7. In my mind, Taylor has just got another week to prove something. But he’s really gonna need more then one week. He’s just too inconsistent. 3 different OCs have worked with him. Hogan, Woods, Goodwin all were once used as an excuse for Taylor, all have moved on and proven to be quality players. Doesn’t matter who is on the field, Taylor shys away from getting the WRs involved in games. That makes it even harder when are put in passing situations. Too many disappearing acts also. Play a decent 15 to 30 minutes and stink it up the rest of the game. Seen too much of it. Enjoy the playoffs, it’ll be fun. We got the best matchup we could of hoped for in the wildcard. To improve and move forward we need to try to upgrade where we are the weakest. I find it hard to believe our passing doesn’t fit into that category.
  8. We need to improve at QB.... No one can deny that. I bet every Bills fan around the world is happy the most important drive of our season was not put on Taylor’s shoulders..... Thank you Andy....It’s a great feeling to get in the playoffs, but we need our own QB we can depend on to keep moving forward.
  9. Maybe Dennison shouldn’t of been so !@#$ing paranoid, our offensive production was a lot better in the first half You never know with Taylor though, he dissappears after a good start all the time. Did it in Miami last week too.
  10. I think our edge is in the passing game is gonna be Taylor protecting the ball, and it could be the difference.
  11. Taylor doesn’t use our WRs so it’s questionable what kind of impact Ramsey and Abouye will have on this game... The Jags had a weak schedule and they really relied on defense making plays and forcing turnovers. Taylor biggest strength is how he protects the ball. This is a big advantage for us. Another big advantage is our D having a knack for forcing turnovers itself and Bortles knack to turn the ball over. We are underdogs but I can actual see us winning this game. I think this Jags team is alittle overhyped myself.
  12. Taylor rarely throws to WRs so Ramsey and Bouye may not have much impact on the game.... Hope McCoy is back though.
  13. Keep looking to upgrade.... What would we do if the Bengals lost? Taylor’s got another game to prove something here but his struggles can’t be overlooked just because we squeezed into the playoffs. It’s not how you improve upon this season. Maybe he gets the start of next year, but we need another guy pushing for that spot.
  14. I said it before and i’ll say it again, Taylor has not showed anything all year to prove we could of outscored the Chargers in a shootout.... And, if we don’t make the playoffs the blame has to go to the O and the pathetic performances they had against the Bengals and Panthers..... The way Taylor was playing it wasn’t the wrong decision to give Peterman a shot, it was the wrong decision to give him that shot against the Chargers pass rush.
  15. I think the fact we have 3 different coordinators and numerous WRs who have moved on and have had success elsewhere says it all about Taylor’s passing.... Fact is, on this board all them were used as an excuse for Taylor at some point. Taylor has been the only constant in this passing game 3 years in a row. Not turning the ball over seems to be his biggest strength, but that comes with leaving a lot of plays on the field. We just need more out of the passing game and that’s something Taylor can’t give us. He has his games, his half’s, his quarters but is way too easy to shut down with simple adjustments.... Like forcing him to stand in the pocket and play QB.
  16. And you can thank our defense and McCoy for giving them the opportunity.... Let’s hope to god the Phins try to pressure Tyrod like they did the whole first half a couple weeks ago because if they backoff and let him sit in the pocket we are screwed.
  17. The only thing he can be relied on to do is not turn over the ball.... You can win some games that way but it’ll be super hard to get into the playoffs that way (third year in a row) let alone make a push for a Super Bowl.
  18. If we don’t make the playoffs, you guys should look more at the Panthers and Bengals games. The Chargers walked all over our D regardless of what happened to Peterman, Taylor would of never put up enough points to win. The other two games are what killed this season
  19. At this point i’d like to see more of Peterman, but the coaches will probably pick Taylor... I think the bigger question would be if Taylor starts how long does he play if he can’t get the team moving? His last 3 starts he’s led us to 5FGs and 1 TD. That’s 22 points in 3 starts. He settled for under 70 yards in 2 of those games. That’s just not acceptable for a QB in his 7th season. We need more production out of our. We may get it with Peterman but it’s most likely gonna come with some mistakes. Doubt it will be as bad as in LA, but it probably happen. Lesean Mccoy has had 2 hundred yard games this season when Taylor has started and 2 when Peterman has started... Kind of ironic.... But a lot of people on these boards have said we struggle to run because teams don’t respect our pass game. I think McCoy hitting big gains gives this team the best chance of winning.
  20. Taylor has led us to 22 points in his last 3 starts..... Not sure why anybody would want to keep watching this garbage. Peterman sucked his first time around but atleast there is a chance of improvement. Taylor is who he is. He isn’t taking this team anywhere.
  21. Peterman. Tyrod last 3 starts he had led the offence to 22 points combined.... I don’t care what Taylor can do to a weak Colts team, it’s what he can’t do against good teams is the problem. I don’t want to go to the playoffs and get embarrassed. Ready to move on from this crap, rather watch Peterman struggle then Tyrod
  22. They also gave up on average 17 in games we won with multiple turnovers in all. And our O has scored 12.5 points per game our losses when Tyrod started. That includes garbage time points against Jets and Saints. Our D is bad and our O is bad. Both very inconsistent this year but the D is what really helped us win games. We have one of the worst passing offences in the league, this year and last. Sure there is multiple reasons for this and Taylor is a part of the problem. He may be the best QB we had since Kelly (debatable with Bledsoe) but it still isn’t enough.
  23. When we need to pass he can’t. That’s all it comes down too. Unless our D is playing lights out every game we lose, with the exception of a few where we lose when they are playing lights out (Panthers and Bengals). If we are in a close game and we need to score at the end we lose.... It really doesn’t matter how close you are at the end of the game if you still can’t win. It’s about making changes and finding something that consistently gets you Ws. Taylor isn’t that guy and he isn’t changing, he is who he is. Peterman definitely didn’t look like that guy Sunday but I wouldn’t judge a guy off one bad game. Especially his first
  24. Every week when we get behind the announcers comment on how this team can’t play from behind with Taylor because of his passing ability. Our D was getting torched the past few weeks and Sunday Rivers moved the ball with ease. Didn’t matter where the drive started it ended in points. Taylor would not of won this game. I could care less about what happened to Peterman, sure will see him again when we are 5-7. Oline sure the !@#$ didn’t help him. Kid wasn’t sitting in the pocket looking for WRs. He made quick decisions and tried to get the ball out but our line couldn’t hold off the pass rush. We have beat teams that aren’t very good this season. We thought we were better then we are because of what these teams have done in the past. We won these games on the shoulders of our defense. When McDermot said we are better then 5-4, he was right. We should of started 7-0 the way the D was playing early in the season, but our O was !@#$ing terrible against the Panthers and Bengals. Our O has been struggling all season. All those turnovers and our MVP on O during that stretch was Hauska. It wasn’t a bad decision to put Peterman in, it was a bad decision to put him in against the Chargers pass rush.
  25. Anyone who thinks this game may be a reason to why we don’t make the playoffs has to be kidding themselves! Why not the Carolina game where our O scored 6 points? Why not the Bengals game where the O was pretty !@#$ing terrible also? How about the last 2 where our O and D were awful. Did we fix our D problems in SD? Because Rivers moved the ball down the field with ease all day, it didn’t really matter where they started from. I was excited for playoffs myself when we started off beating Denver, Oakland and Atlant but the reality is those teams are underperforming what was expected of them. They just aren’t what they were last season. We haven’t won any games this season because the play of our offense, we won because this defense. The same defense that is getting torched every week now. We just aren’t a playoff team. It’s that simple. We have major holes and the QB play is one of them. Tyrod will not take this team to the playoffs now (we’ve had the same results the past 2 years with Tyrod) and the way Rivers moved the ball Sunday he would not of won had he started. If we go back to Tyrod, you’ll see Peterman again in 3 weeks when we are 5-7.
