  1. Truth is he doesn’t take the amount of pocket hits many other QBs take. It evens out with his running. Where are we worried he might have week(s) long lingering injury from? Answer: A hit in the pocket.
  2. Hes not choosing another contender over us if we match the offer. We have a championship team. An elite QB, despite the crackhead version we saw today. His best friend is here. And most importantly, we need him. He knows he has a big role here.
  3. I appreciate the irony of us all cheering on the brutal path for KC in the AFCW, only for our division to become the juggernaut. Good times. Just amazing stuff.
  4. If I’m Beane, I’m literally walking into the coaches room with McD and Frazier and saying WHAT DO YOU NEED!? “Help me, help you…” “Im sorry the 9 man DL rotation headlined by Von Miller, $13M MLB, top 5 slot corner and RD1 CB wasn’t enough … clearly I’ve failed you by not signing an elite 4th Safety and only a RD3 LB as depth.”
  5. Doubt it. Especially when Tre comes back and we sign OBJ.
  6. Re: Allen/Mahomes Mahomes is more consistently good/great with an elite level only Allen can match Allen has more ups and downs in the regular season, but his ceiling is literally unstoppable - beyond what any other QB is capable of
  7. I mean .. they’ll call those PI’s when you’re already in scoring position. Way less common when you’re throwing bombs.
  8. Man… I have confidence he’s going to get back to his elite ways but these last six quarters have been some of the worst QB’ing I’ve seen .. never mind from an elite QB. Thankfully, just like the run Defense issues, we’ve seen this get corrected. (Jax last year)
  9. Can’t believe it but I find myself rooting for Brady right now after all the personal drama.
  10. He shook his head while on all fours after a hit early in the game. I remember immediately being worried the refs would catch that. Got hit hard on a potential knockout hit against Green Bay. I wouldn’t dismiss that theory.
  11. Hes shows a lot of emotion in his face. Blank stare, heavy breathing Allen isn’t ideal.
  12. No .. but I’m not really super confident in him at the moment.
  13. Not happening. I’d faint if I got that alert. Haven’t heard a word about Crowder. Seems like he’s done for the year, or for a while at least. I know Stevenson is almost back… not exactly a proven option, but maybe him running deep routes can free up Davis for more underneath/intermediate stuff … if he’s capable of that.
  14. And what do we do if we don’t sign OBJ or OBJ isn’t OBJ…. The season can’t hinge on that. If we don’t have the guys to run the current offense, the offense needs to change.
  15. If someone doesn’t believe this is worthy of its own thread, feel free to merge. A lot of talk about the passing game and Allen/Dorsey. We have no move the chain passing game. How many teams do you see out there, with functioning offenses, that don’t have a slot or tight end to move the chains? Dorsey is calling games like Madden. Deep shots or check downs to RB’s. Why? Is Dorsey a 15 year old with an XBox? Did Allen forget how to throw short/intermediate? (Hopefully) No and No. I know this because Allen will throw chain movers to Diggs. The loss of a Cole Beasley type safety blanket looms large, it seems. Davis is a deep threat who has not shown a development into WR2 route tree capability. Knox has been blocking, a lot, and also has been going through the loss of his brother. Shakir is a rookie and they don’t trust him yet. McKenzie is not a full time slot WR. Experiment failed. Halfway through the season. Big enough sample size, and I’m of the impression Allen doesn’t trust him on hot/tight routes. Allen didn’t forget how to throw chain movers. I don’t think Dorsey is an idiotic Madden play caller. We. Don’t. Have. The. Dudes. We weren’t coughing up picks for Claypool or Cooks, so we traded a pick for a RB that Beane talked about as a slot WR in his presser. Teams have keyed on Diggs and Davis. Bracket Diggs and put your CB1 on Davis. They know we don’t have a running game that we’ll stick with, and nobody is currently worried about McKenzie, Knox, Shakir or a RB. We have a Jimmy’s and Joe’s problem right now more than an X’s and O’s one.
  16. Josh Allen was trash throwing the ball today, but that last pass of the game was absurd.
  17. 100% agree on Oliver. (So far) You pay splash players. You can find lynch pin guys for Daquan Jones money.
  18. I just want to know.. what do McD and Frazier need to have a defense that doesn’t have multiple games per year where they can’t stop the run? An elite pass rusher? Money spent on DT’s? High picks on DE’s? Two top tier LB’s? A top tier Slot CB? Top tier Safety? RD1 Pick at CB? Depth all over? Oh, my bad, we were missing a LB & S… clearly we cannot expect this Defense to function with only 90% of the above.
  19. Im going to pretend I didn’t see this, because I’m already irrationally disgusted at Gabe Davis and his lack of growth in this offense .. and I don’t know if I can handle a second replay of that.
  20. Luckily 3 of the 4 remaining division games are at home. Never thought I’d be worried about the division, but here we are. As it stands though, if we figure ourselves out, we’ll roll through the division and hopefully keep the 1 seed, even if on tie-breakers. If we don’t, this team can lose to anyone and it really doesn’t matter. Defense has to figure out how to stop the run or we’ll have games where the clock dwindles and our Offense feels even more pressure to score. And if Josh Allen, Ken Dorsey and the passing game continues to look as JV and pathetic as it has these past six quarters … just pack it up. Thankfully, both of those issues are likely correctable … The run defense issues in the middle of the season are sadly a recurring theme year to year and Josh Allen is too good to continue this slump. Now, I will say … Dorsey and WR2 are causes for concern right now.
  21. Poyer should be managed this year to make sure he is 100% in the playoffs. Then let him walk. Edmunds is a tougher decision, but he’s not a game changer. Ultimately we need to give Josh Allen more help than he has, and that’s going to require sacrifice from the Defense. It’s wildly obvious who the alpha LB is on this team. You can’t pay two of them AND have a 9 man DL rotation AND a loaded Secondary. Bills should make their run this year and then prepare a plan to replace Edmunds and Poyer with cost effective options. My goodness, there’s still a ton of talent on this defense without them.
  22. Affordable? Whoever this Gabe Davis is can walk. Tennessee has a couple WR’s on that team alone that can take his role on a rookie contract. Biggest issue is finding a WR2. Knox isn’t it from the TE position. Good player still… not it. McKenzie is a joke as a full time slot. If the Bills are going to be this pass heavy, they need a true WR2 that allows Davis to be the big play threat that can boom or bust game to game without wrecking the offense.
  23. No OL is going to look good when you’re wildly predictable and the defense can just pin their ears back. Allen had the chance to dagger them early and put us in the position we were in. Im all for a heavy offense draft for once, but the pass rush issue today was partially of our own creation.
  24. Dear Bills FO: Admit you made a mistake in how you addressed WR. The penance is having to roll the dice on a multi-year deal for OBJ. Davis isn’t it. Doesn’t seem capable of being it. So we really shouldn’t be worried about his target share or future contract right now. If OBJ hits, Davis is slotted as the deep threat WR3 he should be on a pass heavy offense, and we’re all good. Stop ****ing around with Josh Allen because we need high end players at every position on defense AND a 9 man DL rotation. Keep the rotation, figure out the rest around Tre, Milano and Taron. If Poyer or Edmunds $$ has to go to OBJ next year, so be it.
  25. I don’t know. You tell me. Can we get healthy? Issues on this team right now go far beyond injuries. Allen-Dorsey-WR2 is a massive issue right now and they are all intertwined. Run Defense has been a mid-season problem for years under McD. Good news is he usually figures it out. Bad news, mid-season lulls are why we havent yet escape postseason games at Arrowhead.
