  1. Lightfoot was toxic. Many thought they’d actually vote to, attempt, to have a safe city. Silly us .. hope it works out.
  2. Chicago deserves what they vote for. Vallas was their chance. Good luck.
  3. We should’ve lost our morality badge to promote “democracy” across the globe long ago, but this should seal the deal on that facade..
  4. Ten years ago, sure. Now, no. There are some things I disagree with the Republicans on, but I can live with them. I can’t say the same about the pillars of the Democratic Party any longer.. Abortion (there isn’t even room for compromise on this issue with them), online censorship, their social agenda and, as a business owner, tax policy. Perhaps I could’ve supported a moderate Dem, pre-covid, but even moderate Dems demonized those like me and forced lockdowns and mandates when faced with a crisis. The Dem reaction to covid pretty much ruled out me voting D for a long time. I very much enjoy living in a red state and do not want to ever jeopardize that.
  5. Except that’s not how our legal system works and it’s wildly frustrating that uneducated people like you, all around the country, keep commenting on this topic.
  6. I picked Republican, because as of right now, that’s the only way I’ll vote. Otherwise, I’m simply abstaining. But make no mistake, McConnell/Graham types do not represent many of my views much at all.
  7. Football, Hockey, Baseball and (especially) UFC fans seem to lean right. NBA games may be a different story.
  8. I’ll be pretty interested to see how this plays out in the minds of the average American. Im not a fan of Trump. I’d love for nothing more than DeSantis or Youngkin to be the nominee this go around and to just forget about MAGA. I laughed at all the memes and jokes about this day. Now, watching it unfold, I feel nothing but contempt for what this country is becoming. It’s no wonder we can’t recruit anyone to defend it and so many are pessimistic about our countries future. Early reports on the indictment is that it’s a lot of what we already knew. Hyped up and exaggerated to persuade the public with counts over substance. We opened Pandora’s Box .. and for what? I’ll be interested to see if non-Trump deranged folks change their vibe about this. I’m not of a hugely favorable opinion of Trump. I also didn’t agree, at all, with what is happening today. .. but I was able to shrug it off because, whatever, it’s Trump. … I feel entirely different now seeing this actually play out. I’m sure I’m not alone in that.
  9. Go ahead and pretend that’s what’s happening here. We’ll revisit this down the line…
  10. You are going to live to regret the country those like you have created moving forward. The guardrails are now off. I want the entire Biden family indicted the second that pos exits office. Mutually assured destruction. We no longer have a nation to save anyway. (and I’m not even a big Trump fan .. even I’m surprised at the anger I feel about what is happening today)
  11. I'm starting to wonder if the allure for Beane was to offer a Day 3 pick in exchange for Arizona eating half his salary for '23 - that giving us a star WR this year for around 10M and next year for 15M. If Arizona won't budge and/or releases him, I'm pretty confident Hopkins isn't coming here given our financial constraints and a potential bidding war.
  12. I agree with what you say about McDermott. He’s been given an enormous amount of resources, and unlike the Chiefs, the defense dominates in the regular season and is meh to bad in the postseason. The reason I don’t list guys like Bolton, Thornhill etc., is because if Chris Jones gets hurt, their defense would get wrecked by a good offense. Similar to what we saw without Von Miller. You need good coaching and a couple elite game-changers. All the “good” defenders in the world can’t stop a great offense that’s locked in, without a game-wrecker or two up front. The Chiefs have Spags and Jones. They’ve also made sure they have a Frank Clark or Melvin Ingram. It’s why I don’t understand the angst over MLB. Making sure we have some game-wreckers on the DL is far more important than Jack Campbell at MLB… what’s he gonna do against the Chiefs or Bengals if Von is out? Nothing. Now Drew Sanders can rush the passer… I’m intrigued by him.
  13. They hit on Chris Jones. Their defense revolves around him. Even so, they are typically a middling defense because they don’t invest heavily .. Spags is just a good DC that gets them playing their best down the stretch of the season.
  14. ESPECIALLY given Allen’s playing style. You can try to get him to consistently dink and dunk like Burrow or Brady.. and maybe that eventually evolves in his game, but that’s not who he is, and that’s not why we drafted him. The goal is to push the ball down the field and put fear in defenses knowing they need to defend every blade of grass, at any given time. Defenses don’t need to worry about that if they are able to get pressure consistently with four rushers .. and our weapons haven’t been scary enough to worry about them winning jump balls down the field and/or killing them with YAC.
  15. Winsome Sears is ready for a bigger stage than Lt Gov of Virginia.
  16. My goodness .. what a pathetic post. How about we change the parameters of discussion to “what’s more dangerous”… Without question, the person in charge with setting laws in this country saying someone should “prove their innocence” is far more dangerous than the former President who may have committed some clerical misdemeanors.
  17. Why were they stupid? They’re only given a binary choice. It’s not like the other option wasn’t HRC or Joe Biden. Hardcore MAGA folks … yea, I don’t get it. Trump voters? I get it. I’m one of them, reluctantly. His Presidency was far better than the current war mongering leftist puppet in office. If not for a global pandemic and media/tech coordination, he would have been re-elected. He had every indicative headwind that leads to re-election prior to March of 2020.
  18. Charging someone who committed misdemeanors, at best, with a felony would indicate judicial bias. You know this, but you hope being vague about it will help justify your misguided politically driven commentary.
  19. Apparently very …. These are the same people that walked in lockstep with Government officials and “experts” during covid. The same people that see no issue with online censorship, mainly from the left, but yes .. some also from the right. The same people that cheer the excessive imprisonment of J6 rioters while willfully ignoring the BLM riots and numerous state Capitol riots around the country. The same people who cheer IRS expansion and laugh when people ask why FBI Agents visited Matt Taibbi. They’ve been trained to believe that those in power will only go after their political opponents. They, wrongly, believe that those abusing these levers of power will never affect them.
  20. Aww.. you don’t think the precedent of imprisoning rioters on J6 for years without a trial, sending FBI agents out to intimidate opponents of the regime and indicting a former President will eventually affect you? That’s cute. Keep bootlicking until that boot is stomping on your face.
