  1. This draft reminds me, a bit, of the Allen draft. Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen at the top of the draft... in the sense that I think it will be a bunch of busts and, maybe, Richardson lives up to his potential.
  2. This is such awesome news, but I must be in the minority... I literally have zero concern about him and this happening again. If what the doctors tell us is correct, and it was truly a wildly random chance within a chance within a chance that this could happen, what is there to be worried about for us watching? I get the mental hurdle for him, but it seems just as likely that this could happen to anyone else in the NFL as it could Damar again.
  3. I agree, and it probably has something to do with the color scheme (even non-Bills fan typically admit we have great colors and some of the best jerseys in the NFL). Arrowhead's ambiance is iconic, but Buffalo is in the next tier of aesthetically pleasing football presentation.
  4. Mahomes was drafted to a playoff caliber team, with an offensive mind at HC and was able to sit a year before taking the field. It's hard to argue with Mahomes greatness, given the results thus far. However one can also contrast that with what Allen was given... which was one of the worst collections of offensive talent ever assembled in the modern era for his rookie year, and then yes... improvement, but even then, nothing earth shattering until we traded for Diggs. Since then, we have failed to give Allen anywhere close to the OL Mahomes has (typically) had and the weaponry, up until last year was far superior in KC... even last year, after trading Tyreek, it was likely a wash.
  5. If we get to a point next season where our starting base defense is as follows: Von-Daquan-Oliver-Rousseau Klein-Milano T. Johnson Elam-White Hyde-Poyer .... I'll take my chances. I'm perfectly content going into next season with Klein, Bernard, Spector and Dodson battling it out to start next to Milano. Also factor in Rapp, who I have to believe was signed to play a hybrid LB/S role, and I'm willing to roll the dice on those pieces competing for the one spot on our Defense that doesn't have massive investment (even though there is still a recent Day 2 pick in the mix).
  6. I like the off-season, so far… but I will say that we’ve seen multiple years of bold move off-seasons from the Chiefs. The difference is they’ll trade a Tyreek Hill and they’ll let multiple Edmunds/Poyer type players walk, but then they make a splash like on their OL (a sore spot for a lot of us) in a Joe Thuney, Orlando Brown and this year 20M per for Taylor, but that is due to losing Brown and Wylie. I wonder how people would feel if the Bills let Poyer walk in addition to Edmunds, traded Oliver but then signed Taylor. We’d likely be back to a heavy defensive draft, but the optics are different.
  7. Im certainly not a Beane/McDermott apologist but I like this team much better than last years team already. McGovern >>> Saffold Harty & Sherfield have more potential than McKenzie & Street FA’s Harris makes more sense on this team than Singletary Year 2 of Dorsey and Year 2 of Kromer On Defense, we lost Edmunds and added Rapp. Sure, we’ve technically downgraded on this side of the ball, but it’s one position (MLB) and we modestly improved on Offense before the Draft. I’ll take it. Chiefs and Bengals both lost some talent as well. Sure, the Dolphins and, presumably, Jets got better but we can only worry about ourselves and with Allen, we still clear both those teams talent-wise.
  8. I hear where you’re coming from, but two things: 1) We’re hoping they go offense early, maybe often. Year 2 of Kromer, hopefully better weapons and better OL talent around Allen. 2) The defense will rely on a few things .. and those aren’t, and shouldn’t be, more investment.. -Von back healthy -Hyde back healthy -White back healthy -Poyer back healthy -Elam Year 2 jump -Rousseau Year 3 jump -Oliver contract year -Epenesa contract year A top 5 regular season defense has done nothing for us in the postseason. We now have a change from Frazier to McDermott and have to hope that we don’t keep getting hit with the injury bug at key positions. Im perfectly content banking on investments already made for the Defense. Klein is good depth and a serviceable starter if the young guys can’t hang, given the level of investment everywhere else (especially once Von is back).
  9. Maybe .. but dating apps are female driven. Guys can match on whoever they want, but they can’t shoot their shot unless she matches back … and on Bumble, she has to message first.
  10. 90% of women on dating apps go after the same 10% of men. If you’re attractive and over 6’ tall it’s so easy. Likely not finding the love of your life on there, but it passes the time, which leads to your post about the bitter social media groups.
  11. In terms of gossip, I don’t. In terms of the most important piece of our franchise … it would be significant. Someone posted above how the ending of long term relationships can really mess with you. It’s absolutely true .. whether you’re at fault or not or if it’s even for the best. If he was dealing with it during the season/playoffs, that’s going to mentally mess with you. And if it is over, getting back into football this summer/fall might be the best thing for him.
  12. Maybe, but there’s a big difference between paying 30M per/4 years and the draft capital they got back for Tyreek vs paying DHop 19M and 15M over 2 years for a mid-round pick.
  13. I don’t think I could stomach LB at 27. And if we don’t take a LB at 27, there’s probably only about a 25% chance someone who isn’t a JAG in the mix with Bernard/Dodson/Spector is available at 59. So, I’m pretty much leaning towards DO NOT DRAFT A LB.
  14. How convenient that the FBI/CIA & Federal Government got a “Guns, God and Fitness” leaker of confidential documents as they’re looking to pass the RESTRICT Act. I really want to believe this wasn’t staged and/or won’t be taken advantage of… anddddd there it is…..
  15. I don't really like any of the options out there for the Jets tbh.. If they were in the NFC, Carr on that team makes them one of the top contenders.. maybe THE top contender. In the AFC, he would simply make them a year in/year out playoff contender. Rodgers could certainly give them a year or two of legitimate contention, but they are selling out to do it. We talk about the dangers of kicking the can down the road.. the Jets are hoping for two years of Rodgers before they have to deal with multiple years of 20M+ void year dead cap hits.
  16. Merely entertaining this hypothetical annoys me.
  17. “transformation” aka I was being kind He looks more like an average middle aged dad at the wave pool than he does an NFL athlete
  18. Thoughts?
  19. I wonder what this all means? Surely, if he was MAGA, we’d get to the bottom of this…
  20. I’m excited about Bernard, Dodson and Spector competing if the alternative is drafting a LB at 27.
  21. Defensive Line construction is.... interesting.... to say the least. We currently have nine players that odds would predict make the team. A spot for, maybe, one more DT? We have a handful of PS level DT's on contracts, along with Kingsley Johnathan at DE. After the '23 season, we have the following under contract: Von Miller Greg Rousseau Boogie Basham That's it.
  22. Let me guess .. leftists will now support centralized currency because Ron DeSantis opposes it…
  23. It matters because many of these shootings are gang shootings, and no level of gun control will stop them from obtaining guns in this country. Nobody wants to focus on that because of race or whatever politically correct reason, but when we have neighborhoods that police literally leave to their own devices and don’t even patrol… in America… yet still count a weekend gang shooting as a mass shooting to justify the removal of guns from law abiding citizens, well then … the data isn’t exactly worth much. We are so far gone from being able to effectively curtail this issue without taking drastic measures that effect mainly law abiding gun owners. I don’t know what the answer is, but these last few years have shown me that the answer can’t be “trust the government and give up more of our rights”.
  24. Coming after guns, in this country, is not a popular political decision despite the loudness of the gun control crowd. I’d agree that we can’t continue having mass shootings every week. It’s out of control. You can also thank Dems response to covid and the past few years for me completely changing my tune on this issue. I don’t own a gun, I used to be for strict gun control measures. Then I saw the power grab of the past few years. I don’t trust your side - at all - to limit gun control to “sensible” measures.
