Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for president in 2024?
SCBills replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It amazes me that people can still close their eyes and gargle the media when they so clearly believe they alone are the arbiters of truth. RFK interviewed by a corporate shill that runs the tape through a Pfizer rep to edit out anything that may hurt their bottom line. It’s all so sickening. -
Pretty sure I addressed that with my last paragraph. We’d need that pick 59 so draft his replacement. If that’s what AZ demands, welp.. not going to happen. We’d have void years in his contract. It’s not ideal, but we’d likely have to deal with some dead cap in a Hopkins trade. Trading Oliver to offset 10M just allows for that to be manageable in terms of future years team building.
-
We could trade for Hopkins without taking the “win at any cost” approach. It simply requires moving a piece to gain a piece. We could probably get back our 4th for Ed Oliver, clear 10M, have a manageable cap hit for DHop and only really need to figure out his cap hit next year in ‘24, with minimal dead cap into ‘25. However, if they’re not budging off pick 59, well… we kinda need that to draft Oliver’s replacement.

Beane stated he did not have RD1 grades on all the WR’s that went before us. Who are we thinking had RD1 grades for us? Im guessing JSN and Addison. No to Flowers and Johnston.

Should Trade Back be Priority ONE for the BB?
SCBills replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stay put. We need “rosterable” players. I could care less if we trade our 5th or 6th to move up again. Give me 4 guys who can help next year and I’m good. We need to stop having Anderson, Wildgoose, Tenuta, Blackshear, Hodgins etc., prospects poached from us every year. We don’t have a ton of holes.. We have a highly paid roster and these picks need to impact … and impact early… not year 3 or 4 of their rookie contract. -
2023 NFL Draft DAY 2 **Live Thread*** Rounds 2 and 3
SCBills replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea, Daquan Jones is the only guy I “think” is back next year, with a likely extension at some point. Maybe Phillips as well on a year to year basis, if he can stay healthy. I think the top DT’s may go early/mid RD2, so I’ll be interested in seeing what happens if Benton, Dexter etc all go off the board before us. If one is there, I think we take one. In terms of LB, Campbell seemed to be THE MLB of the Draft… and not just in the Bills eyes. Sanders and Simpson are intriguing, but definitely not sure fire MLB’s. If they go before us, are the remaining LB’s any different than just having an open competing between Bernard, Dodson and Spector? -
Yes .. and I said I’m not as worried this year as I was last year. You just took issue with my tongue in cheek annoyance at the term “pass catchers” and I’m explaining why. I think our base offense, as it stands looks like this: WR (3) Diggs - Kincaid - Davis TE (1) Knox Rotational WR (2) Shakir / Harty RB (2) Cook/Harris Gadget (1) Hines I foresee the Bills being in primarily 12 personnel disguised as 11 personnel. I think it has a ton of potential. I’d still like one more legit WR to push Davis & safeguard against Diggs or Davis missing any time.

2023 NFL Draft DAY 2 **Live Thread*** Rounds 2 and 3
SCBills replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
If one of the top DT’s drops, I’d be good taking one. Otherwise, I’m still on the Offense flow. Best available OL and/or WR. Our DT situation is just so puzzling…. Im assuming we have to take one, and one of significance at that … could we really go into the season with 4 DT’s on one year deals? I think the FO is content at LB. And if they weren’t, they better be, because apparently Jack Campbell wasn’t coming close to where we could get him. -
They are when you’re weak at a position and don’t properly address the weakness due to the hope a concept absolves it.
-
Ha, I agree. Harty and Year 2 Shakir have me intrigued. Still feels like we’re relying on Davis to make a jump as it currently stands though… and heaven forbid Diggs misses any time.

2023 offense has potential to be best in Bills history
SCBills replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but after drafting Kincaid, I think I’d rather go WR tonight and be set at weaponry for the ‘23 season / also set up well for the future... forget about Hopkins.. if he goes to KC, so be it. Maybe use any money we may have thought about freeing up for DHop’s contract on a vet pass rusher if we can’t meaningfully upgrade the DL. -
Kincaid is a TE who has elite WR skills and can, and will, play in the slot. There. That’s what he is. Sometimes you need to define what a guy is for you. Last year we thought we could get by with “pass catchers”. Yet most of us knew there were issues in that view. Kincaid doesn’t give me the worry I had last season, but the philosophy of “pass catchers” when you’re weak at WR is bs. Are we still weak at WR? I don’t know… If Kincaid is our big slot. Maybe not. Maybe now it’s a strength and we see the Davis everyone envisioned after the KC playoff game.
-
Love the Kincaid pick, but two things I can do without… 1) “If he wasn’t there, we were gonna trade back”. All I think about is Basham. 2) “Don’t think of him as a “xxx”, think of him as a pass catcher/weapon”. Nope, don’t think I will. We did that all last off-season. Again, love the pick and love the player… but my goodness, I don’t want to hear those phrases ever again.

2023 offense has potential to be best in Bills history
SCBills replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im honestly fine at RB. Cook, Harris and Hines works for me. That’s a talented room, imo. Maybe round out the room with another bruiser back on Day 3 or UDFA. TE, we may have the most talented room in the NFL with Knox’s potential and the addition of Kincaid. I’m not saying the best, as it’s all potential, but it’s a filthy room now. WR, I’d still like another legit outside receiver. Kincaid, Diggs, Shakir and Harty will eat up a ton of slot snaps. Mingo would be a home run .. or Hyatt to give us the speed element. I know we have Harty, but I need to see him able to make it through a season before I rely on him. OL is the only question I have. If Brown makes the jump, sky is the limit for this Offense. If he doesn’t … well, I don’t want to think about our OL being an issue … again. I feel fairly confident with the other spots, along with our depth, and Year 2 of Kromer. Could use a stud OL piece, as KC, CIN, MIA all seem to have that guy or in KC’s case guy(s) plural.. but not sure we are in range to take one of the top IOL remaining. -
Let’s all hope Levis and Hooker go Round 2, we get some more RB’s taken early and someone starts the run on Tight Ends as soon as possible. Some corners and safeties maybe. I’m starting to think we’re content at LB so, by all means, let’s move some of them as well. Push OL, DL and WR down the pipe to us.

Idle Speculation on who will be the Bills Pick at #59
SCBills replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d have to say, I’d be surprised if they go slot WR after the Kincaid pick. He’s a TE, but will likely play a ton of big slot for us this year. Essentially Diggs - Kincaid - Davis, with Knox and a RB. Diggs, Shakir and Harty will all play inside/outside and Sherfield is a depth slot option. Mingo and Hyatt make sense, but I’m not really sure guys like Downs do anymore. At least, that’s my opinion after the Kincaid addition. -
Good, the Ok,and the Ugly from day 1 of the draft
SCBills replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
What the Pats did to the Jets was nothing short of beautiful. They were set on Broderick Jones and then panning to their war room after the Pats d***ed them over was like watching viewing hours at a funeral home. They can act like they wanted Will McDonald, but you don’t spend 9:45 of your 10 minutes looking panicked and depressed before you turn the pick in if that was your guy. -
I voted Dalton Kincaid, but it’s mainly because I 99% knew he had to be the pick when we jumped Dallas. If we stood pat and he was on the board, I would’ve been surprised at taking him, actually. Not good or bad surprised, just surprised. …but once the run on WR’s happened, and we traded over Dallas …. I think I probably was like most in saying to my friends “This has to be a Tight End”… and with Kincaid as the clear top playmaking TE, I found myself dreading a RD2 caliber WR or someone like Myles Murphy. Pleasantly surprised when they said his name.

Idle Speculation on who will be the Bills Pick at #59
SCBills replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hyde & Poyer are your starting safeties this year. Most teams would love to be in our situation at Safety, especially with Rapp & (maybe) Hamlin as depth, and a guy like Benford to potentially cross-train. Im not, at all, in the mood to be drafting a Day 2 guy who we hope wont play this year. You think LB is a need. Who knows what the Bills think. We have numbers at LB with Bernard, Klein, Dodson and Spector… I get that you may not like any of them as starters, but if Sanders goes before we pick, I’m not sure anyone is an upgrade over hoping Bernard makes a jump in Year 2. I agree with you at RT, but also understand the Bills faith in Brown given what he’s dealt with the past few years and his utterly ridiculous potential if he puts it together. Morse is definitely a conundrum with the concussions. Could play another 2-3 years and have no issues. Could get his bell rung in preseason and he out the first quarter of the season. IOL makes sense for us, but if he stays healthy, we have our penciled in starters, along with solid depth in Ike and Edwards. My only want from the FO is that given the scarcity of picks we have for this draft, every player we take needs to be rosterable. No more Wildgoose, Anderson, Tenuta, Hodgins, Blackshear situations. With only 4 picks left, and our salary cap situation, they need to be guys who make the active roster. -
It’s one of a few videos out there. Go read the cowboys forum link I posted.

Saw video on Twitter an hour ago but can’t remember where. Here’s cowboys fans noticing the same thing.. https://cowboyszone.com/threads/nfl-draft-day-one-thread.510538/page-97

If the Cowboys war room after we drafted Kincaid is any indication.. they wanted him BAD. Place was in shambles.
-
Kincaid is different. In terms of WR skills, he should contribute immediately.

I’m good. With the run of WR’s, this guy makes a lot of sense. I saw him live against Florida and he was an absolute monster.
