  1. Hey McD, act like a head coach today and mandate Daboll gets Singletary at least 17 touches. Just because you know defense doesn’t mean you can’t be blamed for setting offensive direction. You are Daboll’s boss. Act like it!
  2. Agree fully. I have watched the last two Mahomes games and he had many poor throws and missed opportunities. To me it’s what you do in the clutch and how many big plays you make that make up for the errors you make. Josh needs to make more plays but if we surround him with the type of playmakers the likes of what Mahomes has had, well that changes a lot. Mahomes is throwing to an all world WR and and an all world TE and their 2nd and 3rd best WR could be our best WR. Allen gets too much of the blame for the offensive woes. If McD had some actual cahoonas he would mandate Daboll gets at least 20 touches to Singletary today.
  3. Next time you are at an NFL game watch how many times there are wide open guys. It happens to every QB at every game. I have seen it from Kelly, Brady, Rodgers, Elway, etc. This isn’t a video game. The view of the QB standing on the field behind ten 6 foot 4 guys is not the same overview field view you get on a broadcast. Any time I sit in the upper deck I see wide open players. It’s angles and perspective !
  4. That is 100% the problem. If Belicheat takes Brown away, what’s left to threaten people in the passing game? That hesitation, while everyone tries to rationalize maybe it could Singletary or Knox, is your answer. This team is loaded with role players and needs a stud.
  5. Saw it and agree. And Lofton called out Foster the other week during the broadcast on a deep post where he slowed down, and shouldn’t have which would have went for big yards.
  6. If we lose this week, the wheels come off and we go 8-8. Still think 10-6. Assuming we win this week, I can’t see us losing to Pitts or Jets. They are both really bad. We are likely to win another game beyond that and if it isn’t Denver it will be a surprise game against someone not named the Patriots.
  7. To compare with other QBs, Let’s pair that with other meaningful stats like the number of drops or How about the # of catches in the careers of the people he is throwing to, or the catch % of those players, or the indoor versus outdoor of those throws, etc. i am not saying he shouldn’t be better. He defiantly must be. However, I have been at games this year watching Zay Jones and Robert Foster both stop running and then later dove for passes where had they kept running through the ball, as taught in pop warner, they would have had TDs. Those guys shouldn’t even be on the field. That is part of the issue. The other part is clearly McD’s obsession with no turnovers which means Allen is now poorly conditioned for overthrows to avoid them at all costs. The reality is they should be working on lots of deep ball placement at least one full practice period per week but McD probably has them working on dump offs to the FB instead. Yes Daboll is the OC but he reports to McD. McD owns fixing it. If he was meant to be a defensive coach only he should be a DC and not a HC.
  8. I don’t. I actually think we may lose. This team has lost its mojo and should they turn the ball over a few times it could be a bad result.
  9. Maybe Oliver can get some snaps at DE and TE....
  10. I get the inaccuracy comments but you lost me on the slants. We throw 5 slants a year and they are almost always completed.
  11. We forget he played for WYOMING. He didn’t play for Alabama or Ohio State. He probably is 1 or 2 years behind in his pro development because of it. We won’t know what we have until the end of the 2020 season. I know that sucks but that’s reality. It’s why I have been pushing for AJ Green, if healthy, or some major move for a WR1 because Brown is a WR2. We can still draft a WR also but we need that WR1 next year. It won’t fix Josh but it will improve his confidence and give him a true pro offense.
  12. Who cares not me
  13. You forgot to mention Star or Murphy or the bad draft picks of Oliver and the part time right tackle. How about resigning a kicker before his contract was due who hasn’t hit a 50 yarder all year. Beane has missed on as much as he has hit on. Missing on top picks is the way to the unemployment line IMO. Tre is still a question mark to me. I right now would not give him big money when his rookie deal is done. He doesn’t stop the run and isn’t physical enough to scare people from crossing the middle.
  14. Hey look at me, I’m Jerry Sullivan and I haven’t written anything recently that anyone cares about so let’s pull a full on Trump and say something provocative to get some press coverage !!! After all, I am one step better than Bucky Gleason !!
  15. The only way we dominate is if we produce some turnovers for a change. I expect the fins to pound it and make us stop the run since we have not proven that we can do it consistently. I expect them to use Gisecki successfully on play action just like they did here. By talent level we should win this by 14, by effort and coaching we may only win it by 2.
  16. Well if that grade were to be real then Frank really sucks more than I thought.
  17. Maybe the most ignorant thing I have ever seen. Those neighboring areas like Gary Indiana have n o population because their blue collar businesses haven’t existed in 30 years so they are cement ghost towns. So instead states like Indiana have neighboring counties sell firearms and fireworks as a profit motive knowing exactly what is happening with those arms. I am a card carrying gun owner. However, if I sell a gun to a criminal at a gun show and don’t bother to run any checks on them or I don’t tell the police I had a gun stolen and it is used in a crime then I should be prosecuted for my negligence for contributing to their crime. Those of us who have guns also understand responsibility. The NRA doesn’t represent me. It’s the lunatic fringe IMO. It is nothing more than a lobbying firm for the gun industry. They don’t give a crap about rights, don’t kid yourself.
  18. I agree. Let’s face it we don’t have an offensive identity. We are supposed to be a running team when we don’t run it. We throw 40 times but no jet sweeps. 1 botched screen, no swings and no slants. We had occasions with 10-12 yard cushions on our outside guys but Daboll doesn’t have a quick read pass to throw immediately outside on the first 2 downs? (Mayfield did) Hardly a ball contol offense. Our head coach needs to step in and tell the OC that he expects balance. If not McD needs to go. Scoring under 20 points in the NFL every week is unacceptable..
  19. No instead we opted for a part time Mediocre OL player.
  20. I find the obsession with Cannabis very intriguing. If it gets people off medications and works for them to make them feel healthier great. However, color me a science skeptic about this panacea about it being such a cure all. It just doesn’t pass the smell test for me yet. My gut tells me this sudden proliferation of everything cannabis is less science and more financial. Suddenly everyone is staking their claim to grow medical marijuana and know it will be big business. I’m a skeptic about the motives.
  21. Sorry but Beane gave us our top two underwhelming draft picks, Star, re-upped a kicker after his worst year, inserts a random hasbeen Panther annually, not doing anything to bolster our edge rushing, giving us a 35 year old primary back, etc. I like some of his moves but he should be in the hot seat w McD next year if they don’t start winning with the talent that he assembled. Many teams seem to rebuild faster than us. His cap excuse is gone so now the only excuse he has is his competency.
  22. Why are people still clamoring for Foster as our deep threat? Every time he has run downfield this year he is covered. The ones who have been open are with Brown or McKenzie. Get those 2 guys deep once or twice and maybe there will be more confidence in those plays going forward. For now our offense just looks like it is still week 3...something is missing and it’s not just the QB accuracy!
  23. QBs don’t sit anymore. They are asked to learn on the fly. Rodgers or Garofalo are ridiculous examples because they were drafted behind hall of famers. As far as Mahomes, I would guarantee Allen would lol better on they KC system with those weapons than in ground and pound. Playmakers make guys looks good. I watched Maher’s throw some total double coverage bombs up only to have his superior athletes come down with it. We don’t have those athletes yet. Maybe Brown as a WR2 and maybe Knox has that potential in 2-3 years.
  24. I’ll stick my neck out and say no QB will succeed in this offense without a WR1 and a top notch RB. When you don’t give your QB the option to throw a quick check when they are giving you a 12 yard cushion, or you run a screen with no secondary target, you also have some OC issues. Josh’s proveit period will be next year for me. What is he 18 games in ?? Kelly sucked in his first year here and he had 3 years of pro ball before that running an open gun offense. This kid came for a dink program. He is behind because of that.
  25. Let’s face it we still don’t have enough talent on offense. Josh was mediocre, his right tackles are terrible so they can’t run right or throw deep without him getting hit in the face, and the WRs aren’t getting much separation if any. The world has now seen Beasley’s inside out swirl move 100 times. It’s no longer a surprise. Frank gets 1-4 yards and I feel like walking out of the room when we go to giant man package like we are the 1980 Cornhuskers. The coordinator has one group of plays that always work, the jet sweep package, and he didn’t use hardly any. He has a RB with open field abilities yet throws him the ball 3 yards from the sideline. Then our GM spent $7MM on some guy named Kroft who may actually not have left the locker room, not sure..........uggggghhhhh
