  1. Yes, but that doesn't fit the narrative. California is associated with liberals, therefore BAD. Same with Chicago. Texas isn't, so anything bad that happens here has nothing to do with politics. I live in Dallas, worked as a corrections officer for several years & now work security for an ISD. Bad things happen here all the time, but nobody ever associates it with politics. But when anything negative happens in CA, oh boy does everyone love to do victory laps & "I told ya so's" around the story. Ok, proceed to down vote me.
  2. Agreed. I think it's pretty telling that he ONLY hires guys from within. I think he prefers comfort & control, nobody with enough pull to rock the boat, over everything else. We all thought Dorsey's play calling was getting bad, but he was fired after a game where he wasn't the issue. And when you compare Brady's play calling to Dorsey's, the numbers are pretty damn similar (Brady runs the ball like 2 more times a game?) It's not like Allen's numbers suddenly took off either. Even though we won those last 5 games, Allen finished with like 5 passing TDs to 5 INTs... His rushing TDs helped cover that up, but our offense hardly looked great. And the massive improvement to the running game looks pretty underwhelming outside of the Cowboys game. Cook struggled to average 4 ypc almost every game. Maybe Brady will have more surprises in store with a full off season under his belt, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him sacked if our offense flounders with this hodgepodge WR group we've been given.
  3. This probably means Deebo will be gone next year. The only reason they can afford all these players is because Purdy is on that super helpful, last pick of the 7th round pay scale (being paid less than HALF of what an average NFL kicker makes). But eventually they'll have to pay him more than $1 million per year, and they've already tied up a ton of $20+ million a year contracts. I think they'll convert Trent's contract to guaranteed money to free up some cap & make Trent happy. His salary is great right now (especially for a 36 year old tackle), schedule to make $20 million in 2024 (most for any O-lineman for this season). Problem is the guaranteed money has dried up, so I'm sure the 49ers will find a way to fix that while also improving their cap space for next season (they're nearly $40 million over for 2025).
  4. I don't have the best memory, but I recall in the past people saying the Bills had very low YAC chances because of ball placement. I noticed in a lot of these clips, he doesn't have a lot of opportunity to catch in stride & keep going, though he did make some plays breaking tackles or taking a screen way down field. Is that because of his position & routes he's running, or is that an Allen thing? I legit don't know, but I do remember the conversations about low YAC & feel Shakir has a chance to be an exception to that.
  5. Damn... I'm still holding out hope the Dolphins under perform, he gets fired, then joins the Bills as an OC to get back at the Dolphins organization.
  6. I'm bored, stumbled across this short video, and it made me laugh. So I'm posting it here to either make you laugh or tell me how stupid it is & get the thread closed. Have a great day!
  7. @rayray808 Are you predicting a Josh Allen injury? 6 wins or fewer?! Predictions: Floor: 7-10 if we really struggle & suffer a ton of injuries Ceiling: 11-6 if the key players stay healthy & Brady can get the most out of the hodgepodge skill position players we have So my prediction, right in the middle at 9-8.
  8. You can't say stuff like this or people will get pissed & ignore everything else. Even I got irritated reading it, mostly because it's not nearly as important as you make it out to be. That "most overrated" poll involved 100 players, and 11 of them voted Allen. So even though it's dumb, that's still such a small amount of players that it doesn't really matter. And having "fun leaders" probably matters none whatsoever as long as they're effective communicators. Peyton Manning joked around all the time. Andy Reid isn't a crazy hard ass either. There are plenty of videos with Kelce & Mahomes joking around in practice or on the sidelines, but they still approach the game seriously. Allen is no different. Didn't you imply it was silly getting rid of talented players just because they rub people the wrong way? Just because Knox & Dawkins rub YOU the wrong way, doesn't mean we should get rid of them. We only get a small peak into how these guys behave. There's no way you can say they don't take winning seriously just because they might appear in a locker room karaoke video or crack jokes mic'd up. You say they're "underrated" and good players, so the last thing we need is LESS of those.
  9. Wow... How did I never know this?! I grew up with WCW/early NWA & never thought about this! Speaking of Virgils, anyone remember this one?
  10. "An anonymous NFL agent..." I love to pile on the Jets as much as anyone, but how many times have we seen "anonymous NFL something says ____ about Josh Allen," and immediately dismissed it? Rodgers is definitely a tool, but I'm not taking anything some rando says seriously just because I want to hear it 🤷‍♂️
  11. I thought you were kidding, but then I just stumbled across the Tweet that shows Lebron's post about it 😄 Edit: You have to click the tweet to see the actual image of Lebron's reply at the bottom. Lame.
  12. I know we all have dislike for anything with Nick Wright, but even he defends Allen here (as does Broussard). Yes, he starts by saying he's "a touch overrated as a passer," but then goes on to explain he's still a better passer than Lamar & most others. Broussard says he's on a "HOF trajectory" and is only 2nd to Mahomes in most categories. Give it a watch if you can tolerate any Nick Wright 😂
  13. His new gf is way hotter though, so...
  14. Damn, it looks like it's going up fast! Can we rush order it & get it ready to start next season?
  15. What's funny is that ever since this summer, one of the bigger Josh Allen (and Bills) supporters is Nick Wright. Don't look now, but he's been pushing back on all these people predicting the Bills will miss the playoffs too.
  16. He's QUIRKY! Shut up & get on board now! Without shoes of course...
  17. So Andreessen didn't get cut? The season is saved!
  18. But that's because they had a hidden extra LB stashed away on the couch - AJ Klein. Now the secret's out, so they may have to change that strategy.
  19. Ah gotcha. I thought he was trying out for OL, but I have only watched preseason highlights so far & haven't ever seen his name brought up. Thanks!
  20. How'd Gable Steveson do? I kind of forgot about him, but saw he got 2 tackles. Are they trying him out on defense too now?
  21. Josh Allen must be my spirit animal! This same question popped up on Twitter asking people to name random old NBA players, and my pick was DJ Mbenga!
  22. I dunno, why is your mom so late with my dinner?! Sorry, got a little heated for a moment. But for real, why are the Bills so good at breaking our hearts? Perhaps that could be the reason for negativity... Reality sets in, and you spend another post-season watching the Chiefs march to the Super Bowl (and after having spent 2 decades watching the Patriots do the same), and eventually you start to think "are curses real?" I can honestly say I've never seen a post like this in my entire life... Neither here or on the old BBMB. Can you provide any example of someone rooting for failure to prove a point, or is this just you assuming that's how people feel when they're negative about something?
  23. Exactly. Lets not forget that the 49ers also were smart enough to trade for CMC, even with their existing weapons. The Bills seemed fine just passing up on elite offensive talent after acquiring Diggs.
  24. This was really good, but 100% disagree about Coleman not being able to catch the ball because it was SO bad & our other receivers wouldn't have a chance. Also, for those who try to say "of course he wasn't willimg to sacrifice himself in a preseason game, he was going to get killed!" - that ball was entirely catchable & whether he caught it or not made no difference to any potential danger. The ball had already hit his hands and fallen before any contact was imminent with a defender... which he managed to avoid AFTER already dropping it. Nothing would change regarding his safety had he caught it. He'd have the exact same amount of time to avoid contact as he did in reality. No need to lay himself out or get killed. Whether or not your hands grip the ball vs dropping the ball isn't the life & death difference some people made it out to be. "But he'd have to pull it in!" Uh huh, and watch the play again... He was already in position to do just that without taking a huge shot, only he did it without catching the pass.
  25. Do documentaries often hit movie theaters? I would love to watch this, but I'm not sure I'll ever get a chance to see it on the big screen 🙁
