  1. Yup, it was a TD as Thompson blew right past him & was wide open. And that DB behind him cut across the field to that point, he wasn't following him, just in case anyone was wondering.
  2. He's been one of the few broadcast announcers I can genuinely say helps educate viewers. I mean it's really eye-opening what's happening on the field when Romo is calling a game. It's seriously impressive how well he knows the game.
  3. It's definitely worth inquiring about. If he has any coaching aspirations, you have to start somewhere, and many OC's begin as QB coaches. You'd definitely have to pay a pretty penny, but his knowledge could prove insanely beneficial to a young QB.
  4. I think Smith is way more than a "slight" upgrade over Taylor, and moreso than Eli by far. Kirk Cousins definitely is, but nobody is really questioning that. Not sure how good a fit he is for the team, but he's better than TT hands down.
  5. While I agree with your end assessment, you don't grade a QB's performance by one game (today or otherwise). You look at what they've done throughout their career, and especially this season with this coaching staff. And that brings us to the same conclusion - he's not good & we need to move on.
  6. Give Tony Romo a Jim Gruden deal as our QB coach LOL Ok, not really, but he'd be great to have help develop a young QB. I wouldn't be against getting a QB from Minnesota as long as we draft one to develop behind them too. And I'm fine with our OC for now.
  7. I don't see how that's a horsecollar tackle. Refs helped us more than they hurt us today. Gave McCoy a great spot when he was clearly a yard short, giving us a 1st down instead of 4th. Called the neutral zone infraction that gave us 1st & goal at the 1. Gave us a pass interference call that picked up big yardage. Called the hit on TT when he was sliding. Overall they got most everything right & called a good game.
  8. DT, O-line, MLB, QB, and probably another CB for if Gaines doesn't resign, or if he does, as depth behind him in case of injury.
  9. With the way our defense played, absolutely. You'd think, but for some reason you still have people arguing otherwise in this thread lol
  10. Exactly. And there were plays like this throughout the game. There were also times when Taylor did try to throw deep but failed to connect on all of them. He continuously overshoots guys who have their man beat, making us HAVE to scrape up small chunks of yards all game to get by. The defense doesn't have any fear for him throwing downfield.
  11. No, I only started in the 2nd half after I was sufficiently frustrated with all the times perfectly good plays were lost because of bad decision making. After Tony Romo pointed out for about the 10th time who was open or how a "good pass" would've been a 40 yard play, I just started taking pictures lol Thank you though. And no matter how awful Tyrod's been on the field, especially his 3-22 record in games we go down by even 1 point in the 4th quarter, I still respect him as a human being and hope he makes a full recovery. I wish him the best in his future with any team, just hope he's not on our's next year.
  12. I just don't get the need to flip OC every year when we never have a QB capable of executing on the field. We see SOOOO many plays left on the field that could've been great, but horrible decision making, errant throws, failure to go through progressions, etc. just make it too hard for me to say anything about Dennison. I see way too much that looks great until the QB throws a checkdown on 3rd & 6 behind the player while he's covered by 2 guys Like this one. Just over a second after the snap, O'leary one yard down field on 3rd, and right as he's about to cross into 2 guys about to blast him, Tyrod has already thrown past him instead of to the open guy past the sticks.
  13. Here it is again, Tony Romo all game was pointing out missed opportunities.
  14. Cover 4, man running right by the DB, Tyrod instead just looks him off. Incomplete to someone else.
  15. It's the only way to disprove the stupid "bad playcalling" theory that people throw around when the QB checks down, takes a sack, runs instead of throws, doesn't see open guys, overthrows deep routes, etc.
  16. 3rd & 5, Tyrod has a man wide open, has PLENTY of time to throw, looks at the man, then opts to run... leading to 4th down.
  17. I can show you plenty of actual photos from the game where the playcalling, pass protection, and everything you want is perfectly fine but the EXECUTION by the QB is horrible.
  18. It usually is. We've scored 3 points total in 7 games in the 4th quarter. Tyrod can't read a defense for crap, overthrew every deep pass he attempted, and won't throw to the open guy & opts to check down. Oh, but it's Dennison's fault he doesn't execute.
  19. Peterman is the one who got them the 4th & 3 after Tyrod took a stupid hit after holding onto the ball for way too long and having an open guy.
  20. People People are going to blame Dennison for every failure Tyrod makes. You had people claiming it was Dennison's fault Tyrod threw 1 yard deep to O'leary, behind him, and covered by 2 people, for not making the 3rd down...And we had a guy open.
  21. EXACTLY what I said. Thompson just standing there and not coming back for it gave the DB all the time he needed to make a play on the ball. I learned better in HS.
  22. Yeah... This is 7 games now and a total of 3 points in the 4th quarter. Totally Peterman's fault lol
  23. There ya go! Exactly. No need to hang your heads. The defense played so hard and did everything they could to keep us in the game. There was no quit, and we made it to the playoffs. Plenty to be proud of.
  24. A chunk of yardage and almost nothing off the clock since the guy would go out of bounds? We were 2nd & 20 afterall... not many plays with 30 seconds left and at midfield besides throwing outside routes.
