  1. So according to CBS Sports updated 2018 Mock Draft, they have us taking Oklahmoa State QB Mason Rudolph with our first pick, and Washington DT Vita Vea with the second. "Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State. Rudolph is a pocket-passer by trade and demonstrated scrambling ability when needed. He has quality touch down the field and is capable of making all the throws, especially the deep out from the far hash. He's also unafraid to pull the trigger on a pass toward a receiver being tightly covered. In many ways, his game contrasts with Tyrod Taylor's. " https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2018-nfl-mock-draft-bengals-select-qb-baker-mayfield-to-replace-andy-dalton/ Granted this is all super early, but this would be enormously disappointing. They have Josh Rosen & Sam Darnold going 1 & 2 to Cleveland and the Giants respectively, followed by Baker Mayfield to the Bengals at 9 and Lamar Jackson to the Cardinals at 12. The only good thing I could see about this initial draft order is that we'd still have an opportunity to move up with the Colts or 49ers to get Mayfield instead. Also, they have the Broncos targeting a QB in Free Agency, which I could definitely see, so I guess that would nix them from the conversation. Anyway, would you guys be upset with this or does anyone like it?
  2. Not shocked he's struggling. He's a rookie on a weak team. Next year he'll most likely improve quite a bit just from experience, a better understanding of the playbook, and a better supporting cast. If this was Buffalo he wouldn't have even made it this far into the season. We'd have benched him instantly. Our fans don't have the patience to ride a rookie QB season out like that. We'd be calling for the OC to be fired, the HC to be fired, the GM to be fired, the player to be benched, etc. all while saying "I understand they have to develop, but _________." Just fill in the blank. People always say they're willing to go through the growing pains, the losing records, the development stages, and so on, but when they see it in action they complain about every single thing going on at the same time. It's like they're trying to say there's a right way to lose, or a right way to suck, or a right way to have a bad game...but can't follow up with examples. Sure, if the QB threw for 3 TD's, 250-300 yards, and 0 interceptions, and still loss, everyone would like the QB. But that's RARELY the case. And even then they'd still call for coaching changes and other stupid stuff. I'd be shocked if we ever just had a new HC, a new OC, and a rookie QB that were given 3 years regardless of what was happening in the first or 2nd year.
  3. A "50/50 propaganda?" What does that even mean? I'm guessing by the context it means "chance," but even this I disagree lol. Tyrod has been pretty good against Miami in the past, but seeing how he's played so far against divisional opponents I'm not thrilled at the prospect (oh wait, did you mean "prospect" earlier?) of that happening. He hasn't been "bad" exactly, just super mediocre. He's averaging a 191 yards a game, 4 TD's & 3 turnovers (2 interceptions & 1 fumble) in 3 games, and taking 4 sacks a game on average. That 1.3 TD per game avg. MAY be good enough to help us beat Miami if we don't turn the ball over, and the defense plays lights out, but if they play anything like they did against the Patriots last week we're probably boned. Let's just hope Benjamin is healthy (and stays healthy) and maybe gets a few targets, and that the O-line can open up holes for Shady. I trust in him to make the necessary plays once he gets past the LoS, but too often our line just the opponent right through to hit him in the backfield before he even has a chance.
  4. Schobel was definitely underrated. He was one of the few guys who would get pressure on Brady consistently. By the time he retired, he was the all-time leader in sacks vs Brady with 12. Who knows how it is now, but that might still stand. Either way, he was definitely a bright spot on some awful teams, kinda like Brian Moorman.
  5. Well according to him, he got his "source" fired. So there ya go lol
  6. What long-term employees of any significance are leaving that we'd care about? Also, this excerpt is confusing: "I should have side they had words and Beane was angry. Because he gets beat up by the moron here about his moves and now he has to give away Glenn for peanuts" What moron? And why does Beane have to give away Glenn for peanuts? Who was your source then? I mean it doesn't matter now that he's fired. Also not cool you helped get him in trouble.
  7. Were people really disputing that? Other websites also posted that same thing... It was pretty obvious when McDermott said Tyrod would be the starter for the remainder of the season too.
  8. Phantom Menaces being the best? What? And how do you just pick Rogue One as 5th without ranking the others? I really enjoyed Last Jedi! I was pretty confused about some of the stuff that ended up happening, but I'm sure I'll find out more about it later.
  9. Whoa... So far I haven't yet heard anything negative about the movie. The worst opinions I could find only said there were some big reveals that could be polarizing, & the Finn/Rose plotline is not as good as the rest of the movie. Hmmm...can't please everyone I guess
  10. He wasn't "disparaging Ralph Wilson" by saying he might not have had his full faculties together later in life. The rest of your comment is just confusing... Would it be ok to disparage him if the team wasn't still in Buffalo, and/or not coming off a classic Buffalo hometown win? What if we came off a classic Buffalo hometown loss? Then could we disparage him? I don't get why the qualifiers at the end are even there...
  11. I wish I could see it in IMAX 3D, but all the showings in my area were booked for days. I don't trust the internet to keep from spoiling me for that long, so I NEEDED to see it opening night or just accept everything of importance would be let out before I even had a chance to see it lol
  12. The MOST Billsiest way to do it is while we're all talking playoffs right now (just look at the threads), instead of building towards a crescendo, we go out with a whimper, having the rug pulled out from under them this Sunday & nip it in the bud right there. I mean seriously, EVERY THREAD has us beating the Dolphins next week. They all start with "we beat the Dolphins, then..." Here's the problem, in all the past few years it's been similar near this point in the season, and then we just flat out lose the game everybody is overlooking. 2014? We're 8-6. Just need to beat the 2-12 Raiders, then close out the season against the Pats who will likely rest their starters. Lose to the 2-12 Raiders, Pats game is meaningless. 2015? We're 6-6. have the terrible NFC West ahead of us, and have to beat the 5-7 Eagles, the 6-7 Redskins, the 4-10 Cowboys, and finish the season against the Jets. We lose back to back games to go 6-8, killing our playoff hopes. 2016? We're 7-7 with 2 games left & just had to beat the Dolphins & Jets. Lose immediately to the 9-5 Dolphins in OT, Jets game is meaningless. I'm telling you, the Billsiest way to lose is just to lose Sunday, making it so it's the last 2 games are almost meaningless.
  13. What about this gem? "We're Lookin' Good" - Seems Buffalo was trying it's best to talk itself up as best as possible, as it was really insecure lol Damn, and here's another one - "It's got to be Buffalo, USA!" Geez, they were really trying to overcompensate/had a severe case of little-man-syndrome
  14. Force Awakens was officially Episode 7, this is 8, and episode 9 will be in 2019. It's part of a new Trilogy but still directly following the original movies. But like BillsEnthusiast said, they are doing stand alone stories like Rogue One for the years in between. Next year will be the Han Solo stand alone film, and 2020 will have another one (speculated to be an Obi-Wan film with Ewan McGregor reprising his role). One more "but," Disney apparently LOVED Rian Johnson's job with The Last Jedi (this movie) so much, they just announced they're handing him the reigns to make a 100% completely new trilogy set in an entirely different part of the galaxy and unrelated to any of the previous movies. From the Original Trilogy to the prequels and now to this new trilogy, they've all been connected to the Skywalkers and the battle between Jedi & Sith. What Rian Johnson was given was complete freedom to go his own route, completely unrelated to any of those aspects, and offer us a completely different story from another corner of the galaxy. But there's no announcement on when writing or casting will begin on those, and it may not be for several years down the line.
  15. I'm going to see it at 11:00 PM and cannot wait! It currently has a 86% on Metacritic (http://www.metacritic.com/movie/star-wars-episode-viii---the-last-jedi?ref=hp) and a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/star_wars_the_last_jedi). The previous scores for Star Wars movies were: 1. Phantom Menace: 51% (Meta) & 55% (RT) 2. Attack of the Clones: 54% (Meta) & 66% (RT) 3. Revenge of the Sith: 68% (Meta) & 79% (RT) 4. A New Hope: 92% (Meta) & 93% (RT) 5. Empire Strikes Back: 81% (Meta) & 94% (RT) 6. Return of the Jedi: 53% (Meta..wow) & 80% (RT) 7. Force Awakens: 81% (Meta) & 93% (RT) 8. Rogue One: 65% (Meta) & 85% (RT) This would make Last Jedi the 2nd highest rated Star Wars on Metacritic & tied for 1st with Empire Strikes Back on Rotten Tomatoes. It's crazy though to think that Return of the Jedi had such mixed reception that it's rated as the 2nd lowest SW's movie on Metacritic at 53%, just slightly above Phantom Menace & 1 point below Attack of the Clones. IMO, I'd rank the movies: 1. Empire Strikes Back 2. A New Hope 3. Revenge of the Sith 4. Return of the Jedi 5. Force Awakens 6. Rogue One 7. Attack of the Clones 8. Phantom Menace And I really don't find Rogue One bad or Force Awakens bad at all (I know it's cool to hate on FA as being a rehashed A New Hope), but they're just not quite as good as the ones I put above. However, they're not NEARLY as bad as the bottom 2 either. Anyway, I'm super excited to see it tonight, as the spoiler-free reviews have all said it's the first Star Wars movie to take serious risks to the franchise in decades, and that the last Act is phenomenal. Anyway, as Jedi Master Gandalf always said - "Live long & prosper!"
  16. Man that would be horrible... It'd be next to impossible to trade up if that's the case.
  17. Out of pure hope, I voted Tyrod Taylor. However, it's very likely Kyle Williams will retire, along with Cordy Glenn being traded. I know some people LOVE Glenn, but he's the highest paid player on this team and is often injured, as well as not being a top-tier tackle. He's good, but not great (PFF has him ranked 43rd). And with the way McBeane is running this team, those people getting big contracts are considered expendable. Good luck sir, and if your dreams come true, please put in a good word for me with Kate will ya?
  18. The term "Redskins" isn't offensive to a large enough minority group for them to change it. If it was a derogatory term towards black people, sure, they'd be forced to change it. But since there isn't a huge population of Native Americans, and most Americans don't even know any personally, they just ignore it. Snyder just needs to change the name to something more contemporary-racist than what it is now lol Also, I like the name Redhawks. That's a pretty sweet name. C'mon... Is it really so hard to understand how that term could be considered derogatory to a group of people if you are part of that group? I mean it's a no-brainer to me. Could I make a team called the "Brooklyn Darkies" or "San Francisco Yellowskins?" Definitely not. It's just that most of us in this country don't really pay attention to Native Americans in general enough to care.
  19. Uh no. His name is Teef & he's a muppet. How dare you slander his good name!
  20. I like how they pretend they're going to keep Hue around for a long time. No, they absolutely won't. If he doesn't at least make the team competitive by the end of this year, he'll be out. If whatever QB they draft doesn't light it up, he'll be called a bust & benched. Cleveland is one of the few teams worse than us for head coaches & QB's. I swear, even if I was a young coach looking for any gig I'd be hesitant to ever take that job... It'd probably be a stain on my career forever.
  21. Not true. I loved me some Teef. I'm old-school lovin' Teef. Don't you mess with my Teef!
  22. Unless they win the division...which is 99.99999999999% impossible. But hey, some people on this board genuinely think we will somehow.
  23. So winning the division? I'm generally an optimistic person, but there aren't enough drugs in the world to make me THAT optimistic
  24. But he put the team on his shoulders that day and executed like a truly great player should. Yes, every win or loss involves the whole team to some degree, but the great players step up in the moment & make plays. McCoy did that and deserves the bulk of the credit. Edit: Just wanted to clarify, the defense DOES deserve credit. I just want to make clear I believe McCoy should get all the praise in the world as he was the only way we were going to win that game in those conditions coming in, he knew it, and he delivered.
  25. I really hope he gets a chance to start for someone next year just so all the media "experts" who talked him up as if he were some all-time great when he got benched can eat crow. The same people that watched none of our games, saw highlights and box scores, then threw out how awesome he is as if they actually have a clue will be forced to recognize what kind of player he really is.
