  1. ...kid had a pretty impressive interview on NFLN.......talked about having to bulk up for his 'Bama role change, but doing it the right way.....seems like a very polished youngster.....
  2. ...at what point do we seriously consider valuing the TE spot with a Gonzo/Gates/Mackey/Witten/Gronk, etc type as an integral part of this offense (sure as hell have had our butts smoked by TE's) or will it forever be viewed as a position of lesser importance and addressed with marginal mediocrity?....
  3. ...if you put Shaq in the conversation, you have to consider his 5th year option decision due in May at $10+ mil as a 1st rounder.....don't think it is an impediment with Ogbah kid......may have to have a modest extension in place before pulling the trigger on a trade unless you keep Shaq on his option number......or decline and let Shaq test the market and you could get him back as I doubt there will be any megabucks suitors (probably wrong...crazy money exists)...
  4. ....certainly agree......NEVER saw him as one of these sniveling, "ME" divas who lack humility or respect for the game....we all want to be compensated fairly for what we do.....
  5. ....may not care about being THE highest paid WR, but he's looking for money "close"......apparently not happy with his current deal.......can you realistically see McBeane trading to inherit the current tariff and then adding to it?..... SPOTRAC INFO: Julio Jones signed a 5 year, $71,256,045 contract with the Atlanta Falcons, including a $12,000,000 signing bonus, $47,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $14,251,209. In 2019, Jones will earn a base salary of $9,600,000, while carrying a cap hit of $13,466,667 and a dead cap value of $5,333,334.
  6. ...considering the economy of scale in WNY, it may be a tall tariff for Bills fans only to weather increased ticket prices and the likelihood of PSL's to generate enough revenue to cover the debt service for usage of 8 times a year....have no idea what other events, etc could be booked, but a domed facility may give the flexibility to spread the costs over "other than Bills fans".....preetty interesting article on what was projected/intended for Lucas Oil Field multi-use versus what has actually transpired..... https://www.indystar.com/story/news/local/marion-county/2018/08/17/lucas-oil-stadium-indianapolis-colts-ncaa-final-four-public-stadium-financing/879179002/
  7. ....sarcasm....meant the "last couple of years".....
  8. ...ALL great points....thanks for the assessment bud..... ....so if the AAF folds, what's the likelihood of McMahon's second folly succeeding?......
  9. ....quite the smartazz, aren't I?.......how 'bout a GoFundMe page for Jurrah???..
  10. ...always liked the Dunn kid...ON and OFF the field......damn good ambassador for the sport IMO.....
  11. ....college is free developmental.......minor league would cost money and the financially beleaguered NFL owners could never afford it.....probably mass Chapter 11 filings on that horizon.....
  12. ...quite the screwed up proposal, isn't it?....how could the NFLPA under the CBA dictate to a team about loaning player(s) to the AAF?......what if my potentially promising PS guy that I'm forced to "loan" to the AAF tears up his ACL/MCL as is DONE?......what's my compensation, a sympathy note?......asinine IMO...
  13. ...ONLY reason I'm here is 'cause I had a coopin' and my AARP discount.....
  14. ...so then does anybody think McMahon is set up for failure AGAIN before even launching?.....if not, how does his charade differ from the AAF?.........
  15. ...interesting...so who helped you, Madden?.......
  16. ...DAMN good point......shoulda known I'd miss THAT boat....back to the SS Minnow with Ginger.....oh well......
  17. ....so then why does MLB and NHL have longstanding, vast minor league developmental levels?.....I have to preface by question by realistically comparing length of seasons....162 vs 80 vs 16, SUBSTANTIAL differences.....NFLE seemed to be working although I'm not sure about across the pond.....Gunner Bill is in the UK and can speak to interest first hand.....and then it vanished...
  18. ..if Joe Klopfenstein was active today, we'd be at 225 pages.....just sayin....
  19. ...never was a superstar, but Rocky Blier was a gritty, determined SOB that showed up every game....honorable mention to Czonka, Kiick & Mercury........
  20. ..somehow I think the ONLY successful football merger we will see in our lifetime is the NFL-AFL in 1970.......NFL has become a $12+ BILLION dollar cash cow and doesn't need to be bothered with these "frivolities"....how many years have MLB and NHL had extensive minor league developmental systems?......and the NFL has??.....perhaps NCAA was thought to be their "developmental league (free of charge).......but the focus of college ball is butts in the seats, happy happy megabucks boosters and mega million dollar bowl payouts versus getting players "pro ready" for the NFL style game......probably dead wrong and too old, but don't see it changing any time soon.....instead, they'll be focusing on the strong potential for labor strife when CBA expires......
  21. ...isn't the Risner kid projected in some mocks as a 3rd?..............
