Who goes up on the Buffalo Bills “Wall of Shame”
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...as it is, probably gonna have to add three more levels to accommodate all of "the nominees" right??........... -
WR techniques... is it really science?
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to MakeBuffaloGreatAgain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
..I'd venture it's more of an art form versus science as far as having more "tricks in your bag" to defeat the opposing DB and/or keep him on his "guessing heels".....perhaps winning the "mind games battle" is a better description......make 'em fear what they are facing........... -
"Pump the Brakes" Narrative by Reporters and Analysts
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to tumaro02's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...if you go back to 2004 with Moo's club, all they had to do was beat the Steelers 3rd string to "break the schneid" and make the playoffs at 10-6....they bombed out at 9-7.....BUT...media tabbed them as "up and coming for 2005 and perhaps even a SB contender"....and they BOMBED at 5-11 so there was egg on many faces....it was briefly erased when the Lions went oh fer 16, but some of the egg towards Bflo still remains.......... -
What happened to Scott Berchtold?
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...not sure if it was Scott singularly or just the need to clean house of the "good 'ol boyz network" within scouting department, many multi-year holdovers from the RW days.....never understood the latitude given to Modrak to telecommute from his Florida home.....BUT....Pegula's open check book to McBeane to spend whatever it takes (17+ significantly made up of experienced NFL exec level types) sure as hell has us in a FAR superior position probably back to the Polian days....so far........... -

Who goes up on the Buffalo Bills “Wall of Shame”
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
....still go back to the irony of McCarGONE......we jumped back into the 1st bypassing Mangold to grab him from the NC State Triangle....he busts and we end up with the OTHER 2/3rds (Manny & Mario) via FA...go figure.... -
Stadiums with the Most Expensive Food and Drink
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...cannot argue that point......however, you are a captive audience in our suite (holds 20) yearning for food and beverage, noting you cannot bring stuff in...so essentially, you're caught "between ta rock and hard place" as far as what suite service wants to charge....if they raise beer to $150/case, booze to $150/bottle or wings/munchies to $150/per order, what can you do?....nothing...it goes with the suite territory....BUT...build a new stadium with significant price increases for the suite and trimmings will force us out which also holds true for fellow suite holders we know....as a sad aside, once the Bills are "officially out of it" historically, we have to BEG people to go to a game totally at OUR expense..... -
...so what?....then "VOLUNTEER"....regardless of your NFL stature elsewhere, you are new to this uniform...and don't tell me about Brady...he has more than earned his stripes...volunteering for my regular job?.....I'm a salaried exec and regularly "volunteer" to work Saturdays and/or Sundays because I damn well know my responsibilities to the organization....SMH.......

Who Should Be Next On The Wall Of Fame?

by RotoWire Staff May 21, 2019 at 11:23 am ET Beasley was not participating in OTAs on Tuesday after undergoing core muscle surgery a few weeks ago, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports. It's unclear exactly what led to the injury and ultimately surgery for Beasley, and it is also unknown how long the wideout will remain on the sidelines. It's all speculation at this point, so consider Beasley day-to-day until the Bills can provide a more concrete update on his timeline

Stadiums with the Most Expensive Food and Drink
OldTimeAFLGuy replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...sounds reasonable.......if you have a captive audience in a suite, expect to pay more for the convenience.......but it is a bit of sticker shock...... -

..is Shane Conlan marginal?........... Conlan was selected as the No. 1 draft pick of the Buffalo Bills in the 1987 NFL Draft. After his rookie season, he was awarded the 1987 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press. From 1988 to 1990, Conlan enjoyed three straight trips to the Pro Bowl. Conlan played with the Bills (1987–92), where he played in the first 3 of the Bills Super Bowl teams and the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams (1993–95) before retiring from the NFL in 1995.
