I would think that WR's in this FA class have no leverage whatsoever when they know that the 2020 draft is loaded with WR's who could potentially produce right away. But as I type this, there are STILL going to be teams stupid enough to overpay for WR's in this FA class (or any other class for that matter).

Um, they acquired draft assets for the 2018 QB draft class, passing on a QB in 2017. If they wanted Mahomes (or Watson), they would have taken him at 10 in 2017. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Also, the Bills always had the most scouts at Wyoming games in 2017. Again, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

When McDermott took over, Allen was the QB he wanted in the 2018 draft. He passed on Mahomes in 2017 because he wanted Allen in 2018. Rosen was NEVER on McBeane's (once Beane came aboard) mind. Allen was number one and Darnold was number two. Now the Bills need to complete the offensive process with this offseason and make Allen's job, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE, not to be a one man gang.

I am more inclined to think that a move up would be for a player that ISN’T a WR.

There are a ton of WR’s who could be elite from this draft. It’s useless to trade premium draft picks when you are just fine drafting where you are in this WR class. Jalen Reagor, Tee Higgins, Justin Jefferson, for example, are players that would look just as good in a Bills uniform as Lamb.

No. There are a ton of WR’s in this draft class that can be terrific, so trading up for a WR in this class is about the dumbest thing the Bills can do. Just have to wait and see what the Bills do in FA and the trade market to see where their most pressing needs are and if they wanna trade up in the draft or not. The Bills could easily trade up, but it’s not for a WR in loaded WR draft. That I can assure you of.
