  1. Little sister, don't you kiss me once or twice Then say it's very nice And then you run Little sister, don't you do what your big sister done
  2. I think Beane will draft a WR early. Let Gabe test FA. Based on this season, I don't think he'll be getting any big offers, so if the Bills wanted to keep him in a diminished receiving role, he'd probably be cheap. As for Shakir: get that man the ball!
  3. I don't see how he could have done that. When Ralph asked Marv to be GM, Marv said that he'd rather coach. Ralph responded, "No chance."
  4. Was a time when I wasn't sure, but you set my mind at ease There is no doubt you're in my heart now
  5. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I realize that the halftime coach interviews are a joke, as evidenced by my posting a ChatGPT version of an interview with McD. Pretty much every coach does some variation of that depending on the exact circumstances of the game. Halftime coach-speak is worthy of the Captain Obvious and Captain Vague awards. So what's the big deal if she fudged it and just made it up? On the other hand, a lie is a lie, and one whose job is to report things should report them accurately, regardless of whether it's the main story or merely filler. As easily as I can dismiss it because it's just a fluff piece, I can also ask why she didn't simply say, "I couldn't catch up with the coach, but based on the first half, I'd expect [whatever she reported the coach saying]." She delivers the same content without lying, and the fact that she's doing her own analysis might give her a little street cred too.

  7. Oh, thunder only happens when it's rainin' Players only love you when they're playing Say, "Women, they will come and they will go" When the rain washes you clean, you'll know You'll know
  8. I watched virtually every game during the drought. (The few I missed were due to circumstances beyond my control.) I've turned off games in the middle of the 4th quarter every now and then when the game was beyond all hope, but skip a Bills game entirely? No. You only get 17 opportunities a year to see your favorite team play.
  9. At the other end of the spectrum, the Steelers have had only three head coaches over the past 55 years. During that stretch, they went to eight SBs and won six.

  11. Introducing the new AI sideline reporter, ChatGPT. Me: Write a fictitious halftime interview between a reporter and Sean McDermott. ChatGPT: Halftime Interview - Buffalo Bills vs. Archrivals Reporter: "Coach McDermott, it's been an intense first half. What are your thoughts on the team's performance so far?" Sean McDermott: "First of all, credit to our guys for their effort out there. It's a tough battle, as we expected with our archrivals. We've had some positive moments, but there are areas where we need to tighten up. It's a tight game, and we'll make the necessary adjustments to come out stronger in the second half." Reporter: "The running game seems to be struggling a bit. What adjustments do you plan to make to get it going?" Sean McDermott: "Yeah, the ground game hasn't found its rhythm yet. We'll take a look at the blocking schemes and see where we can create some lanes for our backs. It's important for us to establish the run and keep the defense honest. We'll make some tweaks and look to open up the playbook a bit more in the second half." Reporter: "Defensively, there were a couple of big plays given up. How do you plan to address that?" Sean McDermott: "Defensively, we pride ourselves on limiting big plays, so that's something we'll definitely address. It's about communication and making sure everyone is on the same page. We'll make some adjustments in our coverages and put our guys in better positions to succeed. We trust our defense, and I'm confident they'll respond in the second half." Reporter: "Any specific message for the team in the locker room?" Sean McDermott: "Absolutely. I just told the guys to stay focused and disciplined. We're in a tight game against a tough opponent, but we're built for this. It's about executing our game plan, playing with intensity, and making plays when the opportunities present themselves. We're a resilient group, and I have confidence that we'll come out in the second half ready to fight." Reporter: "Thanks, Coach. Good luck in the second half." Sean McDermott: "Thank you. It's going to be a battle, and we're looking forward to it."
  12. I wonder what would happen if my dog could talk Would he look me in the eye and say, "Take me for a walk"? When I gave him his dinner, would he shake his head And say, "Take it away, I want caviar instead"?

  17. Besides the fact that he probably wouldn't want to do it, I don't know whether Fitz would be a good QB coach. He seems like an intuitive player. People who are intuitively good at their jobs tend not to be very good at teaching others how to do it. Now look at most former QBs who are now QB coaches - many were below average on the field. They can read defenses, they know the plays, and they have good mechanics, but they lack the intuition that the greats have. Josh has the intuition - he needs a coach to help him with the other stuff. I know he works with Jordan Palmer in the off-season; he needs someone like that on the staff during the season.
  18. You nailed it, Shaw. I was nodding in agreement at every paragraph.
