  1. Okay, I misread that particular part. That wasn't the only thing we were talking about....care to address those?
  2. I’m not talking about their skill set and abilities. Why does that matter? We are talking about overcoming adversity. Allen has a different skill set than Burrow meaning he’s more susceptible to losing confidence or something? You stated Allen stays in the pocket too long, this post you’re now saying he leaves too early? Which one is it? The issues are clear with Josh. He said it himself and has said it for years starting 6 years ago.

  4. Then why has Burrow been able to get through it? His offensive line in his first two years was terrible. Sacked 9 times in a playoff game. He was sacked constantly in their 0-2 start last year. Losing confidence in the OL means you throw downfield into double coverage? It means you don’t throw the underneath route and force things?
  5. These games shouldn’t happen in Year 6. Bad games happen but this was at a different level.
  6. Employees, just like athletes can regress. If I’m a good employee for 5 years and just check out completely year 6 for whatever reason, that’s not on management. That’s on me. Professional sports and regular work are not the same and they play by different rules.
  7. Fair enough. But you see what's happening to the position. We had a competent running game last year. Cook was great towards the end of the year and Singletary was at 4.6 ypc. He wasn't great but it was competent.
  8. I mean it is a passing league. The last time the leading rusher in the NFL won a Super Bowl was almost 30 years ago. The consistent winners are passing teams.
  9. You don't have to go to one extreme to the other. Allen doesn't have the mindset to be a check down guy. He just needs better situational awareness. He was throwing the ball around last night like we were down by two scores late in the 4th.
  10. We wouldn't be talking about this if White makes the tackle.
  11. I'm hoping this is a real wake up call for Allen. He's had bad games and turnovers before but last night was embarrassing. He seems like a guy that when embarrassed, the fire comes back. He doesn't have fire anymore.
  12. It is a good point and WGR has pointed that out too. It takes us sh****** our bed for them to beat us and it's only by one score. We shoot ourselves in the foot.
  13. The OL hurt Allen in the Bengals game. He didn't play well but he was under duress a lot. I wasn't pleased his play in the Bengals game but wasn't upset with him. Last night was different. Last night it was Allen.
  14. I posted this in another thread and I think it makes perfect sense. According to Brown, this is repeatedly told to Allen by McDermott/Dorsey. I think Chris Brown on WGR just said it perfectly. He said he had a conversation with a long time veteran Coach. This coach said "the difference between the NFL and college football is College Football is about touchdowns, NFL is about first downs." When you get to the redzone, then you worry about TD's. This is the efficiency model that rode Brady to 7 rings and what Mahomes did last year.
  15. I wished we would have taken more shots downfield on the outside....like fly routes. The two INT on the deep posts were into double coverage. Meaning I think that someone on the outside would have been singled up.
  16. He was throwing but this would be something in which he didn't anticipate correctly? I think it was Manning or some other iconic QB...basically he said what separates a good QB from a bad one is the good one knows what's not there sooner.
  17. Amateurish and 30 years behind with fitness and nutrition? Why are players bigger, stronger and faster today than 30 years ago?
  18. I wasn't trying to state Diggs was a problem, we just didn't have any space with any catch from anyone. They were on us like glue.
  19. I won't argue about Daboll and him scheming more open WR's. We've seen it from Dorsey but it's much more inconsistent...something is going on there. Even on the Davis big gain, Diggs was in the area. As Aikman said, Diggs needed to clear out more but didn't. There was a miss communication or something. Diggs wasn't separating last night either.
  20. I am not blaming the WR and their YAC ability yesterday. They didn’t have room to move because they had someone on them immediately. Even on Diggs slant routes, there wasn’t much separation.
  21. You know the definition of being composed…I think. So you come to this message board just to B word and be stupid? If that’s who you are, more power to you?
