Which Bills players are “Make-It or Break-It” for 2023?
Matt_In_NH replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont understand Harty's contract. Does his production justify what he got? He has a hard time staying healthy too. He does have some interesting upside with how dynamic he is but the numbers seem a little out of whack to me. -

They have not converted his base salary to bonus which is a sign they may be in a wait and see with him. As it stands now they can save 6.2M by releasing him after this year. -
I remember these same threads every year about Dabol. Bills were second in yards and points and first in third down conversion. Sure there is room for improvement and we can talk about this guy getting more or that guy getting more but expecting a ton more output overall might be unrealistic.

Players That Should Be HOF Inductee's But Are Not .
Matt_In_NH replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
His overall numbers are good, they dont jump off the sheet and scream HOF. On top of that, this probably has something to do with it. https://offender.fdle.state.fl.us/offender/sops/flyer.jsf?personId=41507 -
Right and Sharp definitely suggested this was intentional. I am not so sure about that. I think they come up with an optimal schedule (matchups for TV windows, max revenues) that has some teams a rest advantage, some teams a rest disadvantage. It seems like the NFL in previous years constrained the schedule to not have as much rest advantage/disadvantage but that limits what matchups can occur at various times and with the ever increasing number of game windows they through that out the window. On the flip side, KC has 6 straight games last in the season that all have a schedule disadvantage. The Bills came out neutral. I look forward to the whining in future years when the Bills get the bad end :). According to Sharp there is correlation late in the season if one team has a rest advantage over another, not as much early on.

This is what I assumed since it was announced

Not sure I understand. They are not giving bottom feeders less rest and good teams more reset.....rather simply not constraining themselves allows more flexibility for scheduling marquee matchups. I am ok with this...the only drawback is the whining we will have to deal with when the Bills end up on the bad end one season.

Players that ARE HOF inductees but should NOT be

Trust me, I can. I'm a fan with an opinion just like you. We don't have to agree. Gore will be in the HOF. -

Most other HOF RB's had a longer period of sustained success. -

I think Terrell Davis benefited from an amazing OL/system and had a HOF QB. His output was great for a couple years but I dont think that happens with pretty much any other team. -
Right, probability wise, 0-3 and 3-0 while both possible are also less likely than the other two possibilities (1-2,2-1)
-
I think they were talking about Bengals, Chiefs Eagles....but same point really. Yes those are great teams.........you know who else is a great team? The Buffalo Bills. Those teams are circling that game as a tough matchup as well.

We needed a 13th string back for Milano. Just in case

Wrong nice try. Did you honk your nose when you wrote that?

3-0 is a real possibility

And? Which has been known for months.

I really think this comes down to measure/countermeasure. I think a lot of this falls on Josh (and some Dorsey), most plays have options even if the primary target is supposed to be Davis 18 yards down field. I think Josh recognizing what the defense is trying to do and then knowing instinctively what to do to counter it is what is missing. Josh does well when you blitz him because he can escape the rush and someone will be open. I think more shorter/rhythm passes are needed at times. This league is full of data analytics, every team is looking for what works against this QB or that QB, you have to schematically flexible. Sometimes the dump offs are the right decision.

More like Emmanuel Nacho informed media guy

Living in New Hampshire (Pats country) I will get at least 14 of the 17 with the TBD came up in the air. No sense buying the ticket...I was on the fence but its just not worth it.

They did a good job vs the Bills twice. Bills scored 37 points total. In two games Allen had 350 yards passing, 1 TD and 2 INT's. He also had three rushing TD's but the going was very tough. The Bills will have to counter whatever the Jets were doing.
