on Thanksgiving my mom always made fresh squash. She would boil it after peeling and mash it up . A somewhat looser consistency than potatoes but equally delicious. a WNY staple crop.

I began my cooking / prep yesterday so I can parcel it out and at least attempt to keep up with the dishes. it is my favorite meal of the year. a quick yummy holiday special appetizer we always have is boiled shrimp, cocktail sauce, ritz crackers, canned smoked oysters and muenster cheese.. delicioso Enjoy and pace yourselves.
