  1. I'm not sure if my memory serves me right or not, but I think I remember the Chili Peppers covering Jimi Hendrix Fire as well.
  2. On the last night I remember walking back to the camp site and seeing so many fires. I forget what band it was ( I think Chili Peppers), but they actually handed out candles for the show. Not such a good idea in retrospect. Anyway there was this huge fire probably 20-30 ft. high with hundreds of people around it beating drums and chanting. It seemed like some sort of crazy satanic sacrifice about to take place.
  3. I was at '99. It was a mess. It was close to 100°every day and there was absolutely no shade to be found anywhere, unless you wanted to stay in your tent all day. I think they were charging $4 for a bottle of water and something like 12 or 15 for burrito or a small pizza. In addition, sometime around the 2nd day, every porta john that was accessible was literally overflowing with human waste. At one point I walked past a dude sitting on top of a wooden fence taking a dump in a cardboard box in front of hundreds of passersby. Towards the end of the festival everyone was so pissed about the prices and accommodations mobs of people ransacked the souvenir tents and atm machines. It was essentially mob rule in some areas. On a personal level, our group left around 10 PM Thursday and ended up getting in the line of cars to get in around 5 am. We eventually got parked and got all of our gear and into the venue sometime around 9 am. We spend the next few hours meeting up the our group (this was early in the cell phone era and reception wasn't that great, especially with hundreds of thousands of people jamming the lines) and getting our tents and things set up. By this time it's around noon and blazing ass hot. We all head out to take everything in and sometime around 2 PM someone breaks out the acid. Well...I never did acid before, but I figured "what the hell, this is Woodstock.....when in Rome yada yada yada" . Now mind you, I had to work Thursday and was up since 5am Thursday morning, so by the time I dropped the acid I was approaching being awake for 24 hours. So it's about 95 degrees and were walking around and nothing is happening and I was thinking this was a big letdown when my legs seem to quit communicating with my brain properly and I had to take a few moments to teach myself to walk again. So the acid is kicking in pretty strong and I feel like I'm on the verge of a heat stroke when all of a sudden my friends and I run into our drivers ED teacher from high school (I graduated in '97). I'm trying to convince myself that it's just a hallucination and not him, but sure as ***** he sees us as well and walks over. We manage to have some type of conversation and he wishes us well and tells us to be safe. We get to one of the stages and Jamioquai was playing and he always was wearing the giant top hat and every minute or so I was asking my buddies where the hell that hat came from. After baking in the sun and having no liquid. Me and a buddy decided to go on a quest for water. So after what seemed like an hour walk (it was probably 10 minutes) we find some water and I pick up a tie dyed t-shirt and we get back to our group and settle in. I'm still roasting to death and decide to pour some water over my head. I'm staring at the stage deep in thought and look down and see my arms are now several different colors. I think to myself "holy *****, I'm losing it", before I gather my bearings and realize that the dye was running out of the cheap ass shirt I just bought. That's just a glimpse of the first few hours.
  4. WGN TV Chicago: Chicago police union wants federal investigation into Kim Foxx’s handling of Jussie Smollett case. https://wgntv.com/2019/03/19/chicago-police-union-wants-federal-investigation-into-kim-foxxs-handling-of-jussie-smollett-case/
  5. Hopefully blind for his sake. The first clue of something amiss was when the seeing eye dog suddenly left his handler and bolted from the room.
  6. I don't follow NCAAB terribly close, but do fill out brackets every year. This year I had my kids each do one. My daughter is able to read, so she picked UB to go the whole way because she thinks they are the Bills. My son can't read yet, so I named the mascots going for each matchup and had him pick who he liked better. He was really keen on the UC Irvine Anteaters, but has them losing to the Marquette Golden Eagles in the final.
  7. It's like Entertainment Tonight/13 year old girl blog kind of stuff.
  8. I'm finally getting a kamado tomorrow. Getting the one from Costco and using my rewards money. All in all it's about $300 out of pocket. Hard for me to justify $1600 for kamado joe or even a green egg since I'm a weekend warrior type of griller.
  9. Can I just go on record here and say I hate the ***** term McBean.
  10. Nothing too extravagant. Spiedies marinating since last night. Bells Two Hearted in the fridge. Budweiser on tap.

  13. That's the kind of physical education I'm talking about.
  14. I get a kick out of how everyone praises him for being a patient RB. The only thing that means is that the o-line is doing their job to open up gaps and giving the RB time. We'll see how patient he is when his line is getting blown up.
  15. With the events that happened today, or yesterday depending on your time zone let's go with this
  16. As many benefits as the internet has. I honestly think that it and social media is the sole contributor to the decline of society.
  17. Another sad day.....you cant fix crazy or stupid. We should all condemn extremism. There are idiots on all over no matter their beliefs. We should just put everyone of these ***** maniacs on an island and let them kill one another. Quit killing innocent people you cowards.
  18. Haha.....I was just on the chive and stumbled upon what you were referring to. I'm 0 for 2 so far today.
  19. I'm of the opinion that anything after the 4th decimal place is irrelevant.
  20. This seems like a very likely outcome.
