If he were a true 4.7ypc guy, he'd see a lot more carries than he does and Beane wouldn't be kicking the tires, looking for an upgrade.
Either that or I'm wrong and Devin Singletary is a better runner than Christian McCaffrey, Adrian Peterson, Priest Holmes, Fred Taylor, OJ Simpson, Saquon Barkley, Shady Mccoy and a host of others.
It's actually not a good sample size for a supposed lead back. Devin's never had more than 188 attempts in a season, which is less than 12 carries per game.
He's more Charlie Garner (4.6ypc) than Adrian Peterson (4.6 ypc)
There's a lot of football left to be played.
It's Allen, Mahomes and Hurts in any order.
I checked his stats on the heels of your comment. It's unreal that he has 76 rec for 1,100 yards already. Madness!
In a fair world he would be in the conversation as well, but no non-QB will win it.
Mike Evans is about 110 yards away from 10k for his career. Wow!
I don't know if there is a more underappreciated #1 guy in the league. 1,000 yards every year and he's done it with not-so-great QBs.
I love WR conversations. There's is no position whose talent pool is deeper than WR.
Jefferson, Chase, Diggs, Hill, Adams, Hopkins, Evans, Moore, Metcalf, Kupp, Deebo, Waddle, Lamb, Brown...it's quite ridiculous.
It took me a few days to realize how good this trade is. I've always liked Hines and it's now dawned on me how good he can be in this offense.
Truly believe it'll be he and Cook leading this backfield next season.
The Bills will always be competitive with Allen, McDermott and Beane, BUT that doesn’t come without its limitations. There is a window of oppprtunity and the Bills are in it for this current squad.
There will be staff and roster turnover to deal with in the coming years that will present its own set of challenges.
Both the Bills and Chiefs seem to be in excellent positions with the QB/Coach/GM trio and while I don't believe that Patriots-like longevity is realistic, we're talking about 2 of the very best talents at QB that this league has ever seen, so I guess we'll see.
