  1. Mark Rypien had a more desirable career than Jim Kelly. ONLY in the sense that he got to win a Super Bowl MVP and got to experience that glory
  2. This post alone made this one of my favorite threads I started on this site
  3. Reading through posts on the couple years I’ve been a member here it seems most were Bills fans since childhood. They were born into it. Im curious if anybody became a Bills fan later on in life or any converts from other teams. I mean my opinion on people for one thing has changed over the years. Same with TV, music, movies, cars, etc.... Reasons per say can just be as simple as say I never liked football as a kid. Or I went to a Bills game and really loved the atmosphere. Wouldn’t make someone any lesser a fan imo.
  4. Yeah I mean even last year Id say the team ALMOST caught up with the Patriots. 2 close games decided by 1 touchdown or less with them. Its still a huge guerrilla Mc Dermott has to tackle (0-6 in 3 years) but you can certainly make the case the Bills will over take them
  5. Yeah I’d say 1999. Lost a close playoff game the year before but had legit expectations for the next season. Id put the end of 1995 as well from what I can vaguely remember of it. I wouldn’t say the Super Bowl years because the team hasn't established that kind of success yet
  6. I’ve always maintained that was the key play in that game. Hence one of the reasons I choose my avatar
  7. One of her first videos from back in the 80s when MTV used to play them
  8. Beating the Jets & Giants in back to back weeks in New Jersey
  9. Good and fair article.... But am I the only one who thought that person had just a little bit too much time on his hands ?
  10. I tend to wonder this a lot as well. Environmental factors at play or just diagnosis has gotten so sophisticated over the years to pin point everyone’s quirks? Its funny though when I read on historical figures like Einstein for example. Apparently he’s had every mental disorder possible. Kids with Aspergers can claim they have Einstein. ? Whatever helps with confidence I say
  11. As much as I’d like to think he’s done, I’m not counting him out quite yet. Heck I thought 2009-2012 he was gonna start to fade out. I know he’s 10 years older now but I have to see it before I can believe it
  12. Perhaps a new thread can be trying to schedule interviews without anyone catching on
  13. Lol, one way to look at it Corporations keep suppressing individuality more and more
  14. Really admire what McDermott's done overall here with the Bills in three years. But I think the one thing maybe should have been done differently was play a full week 17 game against the Jets with the starters. It's like they weren't conditioned to play the second half in the Texans game
  15. You broke my nose!! Wrong Matt though you mentioned lol
  16. My extremely early/subject to change prediction in the offseason estimate says 10 wins. Team will be stronger but schedule harder. Nevertheless winning the AFC East doesn’t seem like a pipe dream anymore
  17. They did one years back on The Bad Boys of the late 80s/early 90s Detroit Pistons teams I thought was pretty good
  18. How about saying how much you love Michael Bolton’s music?
  19. How would you feel if you get asked what’s most meaningful to you as a manager to see? Ive reported to managers in my life that as long as the work was done could have cared less what I was doing. On the other hand I’ve had managers who want to be kept in the loop on all the conversations I had, copied on all emails, want weekly updates, etc... It can be emotionally draining and I’d rather just find a minimum wage gig than deal with that. But yeah report with my direct report is at the top of my list that can make or break a job
  20. Never cared for J Lo’s music but I have to admit she does look real good
  21. Once I finished school and started working for a living I tended to think college was kind of a scam. Only personal opinion there. But that line you mentioned is certainly something I took away from it although nobody told me it directly. You gotta do you and make decisions you think are best for yourself
  22. ^^^ This. And what how old was he at the time like 24? As you say that's an awful way to live
  23. How long after it happened did you learn about it? I think George wanted to initially forfeit the game that night or the next night? I think they wound up winning against the Orioles
  24. The only sports related death that might compare off the top of my head was when Thurman Munson crashed his helicopter flying back to Ohio and died. Even though I don't like the Yankees he was a guy worth liking. I imagine news spreads more rapidly like that than 40 years ago. Horrible, disturbing story. I pray for his family
  25. I think if that poll was entitled hardest city to play in it'd be honor for fans to say players think Buffalo is #1. But I have to think that plays a part in this survey? I mean no offense as I have love for Detroit as well but how much more sophisticated/nicer is it than Buffalo? The city didn't get one vote. I think it's because the Lions play indoors and their fans aren't as rowdy as Bills fans.
