The 1991 Philadelphia Eagles were similar to us albeit they were a better team. Randall Cunningham went down in the first game of that year and they had at least three quarterbacks the rest of the year. Also like the Bills they had a solid defense, theres was arguably the best in the league that year. While theres parallels there the Eagles finished 10-6 that year

Attitudes haven't been the greatest around here and understandable. Been a frustrating season. So maybe this story can break it up somewhat. Was only working part-time several years ago and was looking for full time work. Had an interview set up with this building's executive director. So went on the interview and for the first few minutes of it were the standard generic questions, Why do you want to work here? What can you bring to the table? etc... I noticed he had a Bengals helmet in his office. So he talked a little about his professional career than I told him I was a Bills fan. All of a sudden we hit it off. Oh geez he told me you guys are on the same boat as us! Then we talked about the Stevie Johnson game in Cincinnati the year before with The Why So Serious shirt. Then it came up that Fitz was on his fantasy team. Then we even argued a little what team it was tougher to be a fan of. Ultimately the interview broke up but he pated me on the back and said well be in touch buddy. So an hour later at home I got the called I was hired. For better or worse been with the company since.

So I heard today Mike Francesa tell a story Omar Minaya set next to Bernie Madolf on the Mets plane on the way to the season opener in Japan. I think it was 2000. Omar had no idea who he was at the time. First I heard of that. Reminded me of one funny story from that opener in Japan. I was in high school and turned on the radio in the morning to follow the game. The stadium was dead silent and Turk was pitching. Wendell must have missed his location on the pitch because a loud four letter f word rang right through the broadcast! Bob Murphy was laughing

Bills won 16-13 in OT. It wasn't as bad as the Browns game that year but it was pretty brutal to watch. Lindell kicked a field goal with no time left in OT to win. I think it was Lindell? Rex's and Sanchez's first year with the Jets. Sanchez threw 5 INT's, including one at the end to I believe Poz which set up the winning FG. Was as Dick J a coached game as I can remember (ultra conservative to the max). I guess I'm flashing back to that game now because the Jets have a rookie QB and the Bills have another conservative coach with an extremely weak offense. Only reason Bills won that day was because of Sanchez's 5 picks. I think the Jets field goal holder even dropped the snap when they were attempting to win in overtime. I just see a very similar game playing out Sunday.

I don’t think anyone realistically thought the Bills would be strong this year. However I don’t think anyone thought it would be this embarrassing. He gets a pass this year but next year he’s really gonna be under the microscope
