Yeah that's why I'm thinking that's how VW got the job. He's giving the perception of a type-A personality who will win at all costs. I do think the Wilpons don't like the perception they have amongst Mets fans and to some extent that bothers them. However, like you say see what happens. I mean I'm happy VW wants to spend but hopefully he does it wisely

So this is my theory on how VW got the job. I do think the Wilpons are aware of their image among guys like us as being cheap and not caring about winning. I think they are hoping VW changes this perception. Of course time will tell on a lot of things but I’ll give VW a shot.

So I was Christmas shopping this weekend when someone in Macy's just let one rip loudly without any shame. Made me think of this topic. The funniest memory I have is being in detention in high school for a half hour after school. It just consisted of being in a room with an administrator and having to sit silently at a desk for that time. With about 2 minutes left in it this kid name Joe farts real loud. Everybody started laughing hysterically except the administrator. He was just really pissed and made everybody stay an extra half hour!

I caught the end of it when I got out of work. It at least seemed civilized. I still take everything they say with a grain of salt. VW also told fans to trust the process. It seems though he very much wants to win now and is willing to double down in doing so
