  1. And the clown show continues. 2017 can't get here soon enough.
  2. Hmm. I wonder why some people make a moral distinction between the two. What could it be, what could it be...?
  3. So let's say you're somewhere and a couple of guys jump you and you get the better of them. Therefore discipline is warranted? Sorry, man, but that just doesn't make sense. If it turns out the cops started the incident, Fat Roger had best do nothing unless he wants another off season spent in the courts.
  4. "Wait Until Next Year" "Only One More Year With Rex" "Adopt A Bill" "The BuffaloBills: Rebuilding Since The Last Millenium" "Hey, Marrone, Wait For Me"
  5. Whatcha mean "will;" he already is.
  6. She has a great laugh. Evil, but great.
  7. Excellent comments. Prepare for the vitriol
  8. If you go to this site, check out the comment section. Amazing.
  9. Texas is experiencing a significant decline in Pop Warner and interscholastic participation. I heard it on a radio program so I can't give you a link but I'm sure the stats are available online.
  10. Jackson was the only 1st rounder on the starting offense.
  11. If you have a lousy defense, that sentence would be an optimistic one for fans. When you have a great defense, it just means you have hired the wrong coach...it is much easier to replace an ill-suited coach than to rip apart and rebuild the entire defense.
  12. So far, no scouting visits west of the Mississippi? Is that correct?
  13. TR was never voted out of office. He served two terms then hand picked Taft as his successor. Disappointed with Taft, he ran against him in 1912, splitting the Republican vote and coming in second to Wilson, who became president with less than 40% of the vote. Other than Buffalo's Grover Cleveland, Wilson was the first Democrat elected president since before the Civil War.
  14. I think it's maybe 50/50 on P .T. Ryan making it through training camp. If the D looks like a rerun of last year and the players start grumbling and the media becomes critical, I could see The Pegs showing him the door.
  15. TT is not a "run first" QB. And he has already shown he can "beat them with his arm." What I need to see is more middle of the field throws and improvement in crossing plays. And I believe he will add that to his arsenal this off season. I feel very confident we've got our guy enough so that if the Bills don't lock him up soon, I think there is going to be a lot of competition for him when his contract runs out.
  16. A lot depends on how resigning goes. If Glenn and/or Incognito leave, then the Oline suddenly becomes the major concern.
  17. You are correct. I was only dealing with the actual living and breathing fans who figure less and less in the NFL's computations, and why USC and UCLA can draw big crowds decade after decade while the Rams might struggle.
  18. You do know that Ryan has been a head coach prior to Buffalo, doncha? I believe P. T. has had 6 years to "show his stuff." The trend is inexorably down.
  19. He appears to be stubborn, and maybe thick-headed. Or it could be that "his" scheme is the only one he really knows, and is intellectually incapable of growth. The "one-trick pony" syndrome. He also seems intent on running a retirement home for former Ravens and Jets, and the children of long time amigos. That would be the capper to the emerging clown show that is the Buffoons.
  20. Out of the 12 million people in the metro LA area, I'd guess that half are immigrants from places like China, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, India, Armenia, Korea, Russia, Israel, in addition to the Latin American countries, plus from just about every other country in the world. There is little to no interest in "American" pastimes among most of these groups, save the Latin Americans, who are wild sports fans. So right off the top, you have to eliminate about 6 million people from your potential base. Then out of the remaining 6 million, eliminate children, the elderly, the too-poor-for-those-kinda- prices (we have plenty of them), the disinterested, those who can't hack the horrendous driving conditions, those who will be too timid to attend an event in a "minority" location, and so on. That leaves you with a potential customer base of, what?, two million, maybe three? And out of that base, a ton of them are loyal to other teams not named the Rams, including this Bills fan. And if the Raiders -- who have their own large fan base here -- move to LA too, things are back to where they were in the 80s and 90s, with paying customers split between both franchises to the detriment of both, which was the main reason, along with the move to Anaheim, for the drop off in Rams attendance during those years. As for the Chargers, they seem to have very few fans here. I think they'd struggle mightily to get a following and would, in a few years, either move back to San Diego or maybe off to a place like San Antonio.
  21. Thousands of empty seats? Are you daft? Dodger attendance from 2010 thru 2014 was 17 million plus. The only team with more was the Yankees, by about 300,000. In 2015, it was just shy of 3.8 million. The Dodgers have led MLB attendance in 8 out of the last 12 seasons. On top of that, everything about a Dodgers game is highly expensive, from parking, to tickets, to concessions. It will cost you at least as much as a Bills game. Here's a link on MLB attendance: http://www.ballparksofbaseball.com/attendance.htm
  22. Kind of amusing that Bills fans, of all people, are faulting the Niners hire. Last I looked, and based on record, Kelly is a much much better hire that our very own P. T. Ryan. Sure, Kelly is a boring guy, a coach who demands much of his players and gets rid of those who don't fit his quirky philosophy, and is also a coach who is followed closely by other coaches and GMs. Remind you of any other coaches? Like Belichick? Who also failed in his first head coaching job. I know this, if I could only hire one or the other chubby Irishman to run my team, it wouldn't be P. T.
  23. You do know they were originally the LA Chargers, right? The name refers to Barron Hilton's new product for his hotels, the credit card.
  24. The Buffoon Bills. Lawd almighty. P. T. Ryan's womb mate Bobby, 12 years a DC, 10 of them with his Ds ranked mostly in the lowest levels, fired from every job, never offered a HC position, and topping it off with the extremely rare mid-season firing this past season, partly because of ongoing defensive confusion and failure to get the D calls to the players in a timely manner. As infuriating as the 2015 season was, 2016 already shows signs of being worse, much worse.
