Cousins is a McDermott type of guy and i would absolutely love it. There is a reason that teams like the Steelers never seem to live up to the hype and I think you have hit the nail on the head here with regards to values and effort, Big Ben is a great example of a QB that doesn't give it 100% and takes games for granted. If you can get a good QB Coach pairing then the sky really is the limit, we have 50% of that.

Just like everything with the magical Patriots* somehow once they're out of New England these coaches turn to dust. Titans are going nowhere and will have completely wasted Mariota.

I have increasingly decided that the QB matters less than the Coach. Look at guys like Bortles and Goff, who did not impress under previous coaches then transform into playoff or even championship calibre starters under a new HC. I believe we have our HC for a long time in McDermott so i'm pretty happy that whoever we have under center (even if it is Taylor for another season) will be successful.

I would rather we didn't mortgage the future for a QB that is unable to put his team on his back and get them to the playoffs every year. Luck throws too many interceptions for me i'm really not impressed.

Any rule change is utterly irrelevant unless enforced fairly. Most people actually don't mind the catch rule it's the way that a catch for some teams is a drop for others. The problem is the Patriots*. We all knew they would make the Superbowl and win it before the season even began and it's really boring to watch. One of the selling points of the NFL is parity and thanks to the Patriots* there is no parity anymore.

When a darling of the NFL makes the superbowl in 50% of the seasons he plays there is a fix or massive bias going on. This is not only unprecedented it's impossible in a team game like the NFL. I'm fine with it, it will be over soon once Brady gets seriously hurt and then we will have year of delicious patriot fan tears as they see what it's like to be treated like 31 other teams.

Bring back the replacement refs, they called a fair game.

It's not just fans all 31 other teams hate the pats the calls they get and the bull **** surrounding them. That whole franchise smells wrong and there will be more controversy coming out in years to come

This is football not quantum physics, the Patriots* are a massive statistical anomaly in the NFL which given all of the data we have from years of Football is a good indication that something is awry.

So his coordinators watch the way he prepares for teams and then when they go elsewhere just don't bother doing the same. He doesn't have some magic way of game planning that other coaches don't, he cheats.

If Bellichick was really some genius coach then the guys under him that go elsewhere would have success having learned from him. This is simply not the case, there is something tainted about the Patriots* organisation, in a league with so many moving parts and so many variables it is simply not possible for them to make the superbowl 50% of the seasons tom brady has played without cheating.

No such thing as coincidence and in a game of inches the NFL keeps giving the Patriots* a mile.

Will the Patriots be allowed to hold and interfere all game long? If so they win again because they wont have to compete with those pesky rules.

This is so true, we were clearly primed after our 7-9 season last year for a SuperBowl run. This roster is stacked with pro bowlers on both sides of the ball and not making the superbowl is frankly inexcusable. Heads should roll!
