I really don't disagree, and anyone who insinuates I'm saying Allen will suck this year is unable to have a complex thought. I think Josh Allen is the most physically talented NFL QB out there today and maybe in the history of the NFL. I also think his competitiveness and desire to win is right up there with the all-time greats. But one thing about Allen that's simultaneously super encouraging and leaves me with a small amount of anxiety in the short term is how young/inexperienced in the sport he still is, especially when compared with his peers. I think this has been rehashed over and over, but when you go through the history of Josh Allen playing QB (multi-sport athlete in HS, didn't physically grow into himself til late, 1 year as a JuCo starter, 2 years as a borderline D1 starter, etc.) he's not only still learning the position but the whole idea of crazy packed stadiums and media spotlight is relatively new to him as opposed to a guy like Mahomes, who had a professional athlete as a father and played in packed stadiums at a D1 school throughout college. Again, I think last year was the best thing for him and I think he's over that, but in his first 2 years there were moments where he seemed overly excited and would miss a play or 2. I always noticed it especially at home games, and I think part of that stems from his competitiveness and desire to be great for his fans.

As someone who was there I appreciate your perspective on this. As much as @Bangarang was joking around (I think... mostly), I admit that I'm a little anxious about how Josh will respond to the crowds this year and whether that brings back the *Sugar High Josh" we saw so much in year 1 and some in year 2. Love Josh, but I really do think the empty stadiums helped him last year. I believe (and hope) that he's gotten over that hump, though.

I really hope Josh never loses that little kid excitement to play the game. That's so much of the mentality that makes him so great. -

As a show that I don't think I've seen mentioned I started watching Watchmen on HBO Max a couple nights ago and got hooked. One piece of criteria I always use for judging shows is the Rotten Tomatoes Audience Reviews--significantly more important than the critics reviews... usually. This show is an exception. I'm 3 episodes in to a 9 episode season of hour long episodes and I'll finish by early next week. The show is weird, but very engaging. I'd recommend it. -

I don't get it... is this why people are on tiktok and Instagram? Why not just watch porn? It's just as easily accessible. And...? Any good? -

My vote would be the one to Diggs in the MNF NE game where he was rolling to his left and was about to get hammered and threw a dart nearly 30 yards in the air for a TD. -
Josh Allen - A Glitch in the Matrix

Thank you for posting this! I don't have the 57 minutes to watch this now, but this is definitely one I will watch. It was honestly largely his unique personal story that I immersed myself in right after we drafted him that made me go from completely hating the pick to being on board. I'm genuinely curious about what new nuggets can be gleaned from this... I'm sure there are many. -
Duke should definitely be part of the WR's this year

Honestly Beasley's position has become even more selfish and ignorant over the last few weeks with the rise of the Delta variant, which has a significantly increased ability to infect even vaccinated people. People who are unvaccinated are much more likely to get infected and exponentially more likely to be hospitalized or die, but those things are still possible even among the vaccinated. The position of "no rules or restrictions for me if I'm unvaccinated because it's my body and my choice" is utterly ridiculous because you naturally become more of a risk to spread infection to your teammates who took it upon themselves to get the vaccine. Cole needs to do 1 of 3 things: 1) Shut the ***** up and get the vaccine 2) Shut the ***** up and abide by the rules for the unvaccinated 3) Retire and complain all he wants

I've been reading your posts in this thread and these 2 sentences capture the combination of ignorance and lunacy in every single one of them.

I love Beasley and prefer him on the team... but I also think our WR corps would still be very good without him if Diggs, Sanders and Davis were our top 3 WRs. Plus I think Allen is going to start becoming that QB who elevates another WR or 2 into surprise production territory. Beasley can simultaneously be a great slot WR and too much of a headache to keep on a team with some good talent in the WR room... and I think that is the case.

He changed and improved on stuff last offseason... who's to say he doesn't do something drastic this off-season? Allen is still a bit malleable... which is good. And he trusts Palmer, who seems to be a legit QB guru. Obviously my trepidation is based entirely on an article where I'm not being given access to the entire process, but basic logic tells me 2 feet fully planted and dug into the ground (essentially) would more likely lead to lower leg injuries than feet that aren't. Again... likely missing an important part of that process. It's just that worrisome bird in the back of my brain.

That Athletic article is pretty awesome. It's one of those worthy of subscription. I must say, though... it leaves me with one worry: Palmer is stressing the importance of "All 16 go into the ground" as an emphasis on using the ground as a way to take the load of your arm. Is it possible that this creates a higher likelihood of severe leg injuries? When you're on your toes, you're more nimble and loose. When your feet are planted flat and basically dug in, basic physics tell me bad things are a comin if someone attacks those legs...

It's just Beasely. And as much as I love him as a player, I'm reaching the point where I won't be upset if we cut him. I view Sanders as an upgrade over John Brown and I think Davis will be better than last year. Maybe our WR corps takes a step back without Beas, but I don't think it'll be a huge one. And maybe this is finally the year our TEs make up the difference.

Ya know what I thought when Trump was in office almost every single day? "Good God what's this #ucktard going to do or say to damage this Country and can we make it through to the election" (which luckily bounced his a$$ out of office by the will of the American people) Now I don't have to spend my days focused on how much our President is destroying our Country... which is one of the reasons I don't mosy on over here much. But when I do, some of you make me laugh. Are people really calling this some kind of joke or troll job? Sounds similar to years ago when someone started a thread (thread is buried... I'm sure someone could find it) that posed the question of whether Trump would concede if he lost the election... a lot of the responses had the same tone of disbelief at posited question. These same posters turned a complete 180 as we ended last year and became proponents of The Big Lie. Many of these posters are now gone, but I just checked their website for the first time in months... they've encrypted/hidden their politics page and they're taking donations on the main website 😆 so maybe you should head on over there... I'm sure some of these donations are going to the 7 point plan that isn't happening since we all know they're just 4chan under the guise of a Bills Website
