  1. If your job was high paying and you're 58 and not 50 or 48 or 45, why do you need to make a few bucks? People who feel they need to make money in retirement confuse the hell outta me. If you want to keep busy, get a hobby or find volunteer work.
  2. Best jobs for retirement??? Is this a joke??? Why????
  3. Just went to see Guardians. Loved it!!! Not as good as #1 (is that even possible????) but soooo much better than #2. I also actually really liked the new Ant-man. Pretty much every other Marvel movie since Endgame has sucked., though. And honestly, even Endgame was bleh. I think Infinity War was the climax. Still interested to see where the franchise goes, though.
  4. Damn. That's the part that concerns me. Not the breakup.
  5. Most important question of this breakup: Who kept the dog?
  6. Take this from a consistent Cowherd listener who actually likes to listen to him (and insert the "even though" after you read what I say): Colin Cowherd is stubborn as hell while marketing himself as open minded. Dude railed against Josh Allen on his show for all of 2018, 2019 and about the first 3 or 4 games of 2020. I remember us beating the Jets after game 1 with that fluke pick 6 off Beas and then Allen bringing us back for some late game heroics and Cowherd basically said Allen will always be an inaccurate QB who relies on his legs. Then the season progresses and Cowherd pivoted. He really just went on without acknowledging his disdain for Allen for the last few years. But you could tell he knew how Uber talented he was, so he jumped on the Buffalo train. And after 13 seconds, let's be honest, Allen and Mahomes looked equal. So Cowherd touted Buffalo all offseason. He even brought Josh on his show once. Then 2022 happened with all the trials and tribulations Buffalo faced--which were historic--and Cowherd largely doubled back. Keep in mind, now he's really more a massive critic of Buffalo as an organization than Josh. But that's also part of the point with Cowherd. He has ALWAYS been a huge critic of small market teams. Anyone who listens to him knows he's very 1 foot out on most of the small market NFL teams. Cowherd is a fun listen, yet despite his claim to be one of the most intelligent and open minded sports analysts out there, he's actually pretty myopic. And this discussion on his part proves it. Buffalo massively upgraded their OL this offseason. Saffold was terrible so addition by subtraction. Add McGovern, Edwards, Torrence, Shell who are ALL potential to likely starters in the NFL. And we spend money on one player already in house and one "big" FA we get for less than $10m??? Yeah, in this case I say Cowherd is an idiot. And pay attention to him this year. Watch the way he pivots if Buffalo succeeds.
  7. Good stuff!!! Wondering if it's Beane's 2023 special...? 1 year $1.7 mil???
  8. Are people nuts? Good deal for Buffalo. This contract doesn't even make Oliver top 10 AAV in terms of all DTs in the NFL. Basically, he got the contract for a slightly above average NFL DT. And that's about what he is with the potential to be better moving forward hopefully looking back on injuries as the excuse for 2022. And I'm sure very quickly other DTs will sign more lucrative deals making this look even better. Love the deal. Now extend Jones for another year or 2 and maybe Ford in season if he's playing as well as we hope. Anyone know yet how much CAP space this clears for this year? Extending Jones could clear more.
  9. How would anyone be against this? I actually like Gabe and think the injury really affected him last year and think he's due for a bounce back year... BUT... 3 years with Diggs & DHop along with Gabe's final "prove it" year plus Knox, Kincaid, & Cook for multiple years vs Praying for Gabe to finally be the #2 we all hoped for along with giving us a hometown discount ... choice seems obvious... Especially when you consider all the draft picks we still have next year. Who's to say we also don't just trade up for Marvin Harrison Jr. as Diggs and Nuke settle into their 30s?
  10. This makes me happy
  11. Yikes... you spend too much time examining other guys' shorts hoping to get a hint of how big their schlong might be
  12. We're so friggin lucky. And yes I'm talking about Josh and Von, but the guys we should be thankful for are Beane and McDermott... they're the ones who prioritize the character to go with talent.
  13. Not on IG or really any form of Social Media, but 174,000 people isn't a small amount to me.
  14. Not as far as I know. This is mainly only a story cause she turned herself into an IG star riding on his coattails. Sucks for both of them and I bet they're both reeling, but they're young and will recover fine.
  15. You understand that college tuition and costs have increased at a rate that FAR surpasses inflation, right? Also, the loan forgiveness is only for public servants who have worked in public service jobs for 10 years while paying off their loans consistently over a period of 10 years. Public servants on average make significantly less than those holding similar jobs in the private sector. If you want to give a big middle finger to the law enforcement agents who patrol your streets, the firefighters who are there to help in all sorts of crises, the teachers who teach your kids and all their ilk, then good on you.
  16. He may have cheated on her... but it's not like they were married. It wouldn't surprise me if that's what happened based on what appears to be coming out, but I don't think that makes him someone you can't like and root for. He made a mistake. But honestly... the fact that they weren't married makes it less of a big deal to me. I don't put it remotely on the same level as Jim Kelly back in the day.
  17. Yes. On paper we're a better team at every single position on the field other than MLB. Add in the year's worth of experience for Dorsey and McDermott calling the defense, we have reason to have higher expectations this year. Everyone just needs to say a prayer every night for God not to make the Bills the Job of NFL teams.
  18. Looks like Gabe Davis with better hands. Stash on the PS and develop for a year to replace Davis??? We could always keep him as our 6th WR.
  19. Again I ask with a twist... did you not watch the Bills this season? If you took that Bengals game as a vacuum game and came up with Deandre Hopkins as the one thing that would get us a Lombardi then you didn't watch that game. By the way (since maybe you need this explanation), you shouldn't take that Bengals game as the definition of the 2022 Bills.
  20. We've had a real chance to win it all for the last 3 years. Are you new to watching the NFL?
  21. I think we should all take this as an exciting (anxiously exciting) move for our D in general. Seems we now have a pretty good idea that McDermott is really about to change our D. It's interesting that we basically have 3 guys now on the team who kinda straddle that LB/Safety skillset and roll in Rapp, Bernard and Williams... and I didn't even mention Milano. I hope McDermott proves to be the mad defensive genius for this team that Andy Reid is on offense for the Eagles.
  22. Our OL went from horrible to stacked very quickly. What I like about this is it probably sets Bates up to take a year on the bench behind Mosrse to master Center. Man... we have 5 guys who range from probably decent to possibly great starting Guards now. Loving the draft so far!
  23. Dane Brugler has 11 WRs in his top 100... just noting. JSN #1 (number 18 overall) to Trey Palmer (number 95 overall)
