  1. Damn I thought this thread would actually die overnight. @ Stank Nasty it was 11 hours dead... why bump it? Everyone should bother watching the 7 minute interview some of you are so up-in-arms about. He was asked a direct, leading question about the Bills: "You don't get this far without fire. There's gotta be something that burns inside you. How motivated are you to prove that they were wrong to trade you from a playoff team?" And Taylor basically followed that up saying he expects the Bills to make the playoffs. There was nothing vindictive or spiteful--unlike what's happening in this thread--he was just asked a leading question that had a pretty obvious answer to it and was more diplomatic than I think anyone could ever expect. How the hell did some of you expect him to respond to that? Get over it people. Some of you are still so spiteful about Taylor, who's now been gone over 3 months, that you're altering reality.
  2. Shady makes the Pro Bowl again Bills make the playoffs again Josh Allen starts more than 10 games and is at least a ROTY candidate
  3. Shady, are you familiar with the 7 deadly sins? 26CB... keep doing what you're doing... the rest of us appreciate it even if Shady's just
  4. Yes, 100% sure. I looked at Trent's 2009 (the year TO was in Buffalo) game logs just to make sure. He had one 48 yard TD to TO... that was his longest to him.
  5. No, I didn't. Have a good night though, bro... remind me how guilty I'm NOT of keeping that Tyrod thread on page 1. Look forward to reading it. Oh... I get it... my bad... you're just a Troll...
  6. Click on my name and then click the rectangular icon box 3rd to the right. That's all my posts. Search through.
  7. Are you computer retarded??? Not a personal insult... legit question. Click on username, look at content history, find how many separate days I bothered posting there. Peterman sucked donkey balls more than any other QB I think I've ever seen in a Bills uniform in his limited snaps last year and has an arm that is not remotely NFL caliber, that's why. If he improved and strengthened his arm... well... that's good, but the only direction for him really was up. And trust me... I'm rooting for him because he's in a Bills uniform.
  8. Regularly???? Believe me... I'm not a regular. I've checked in there no more than a handful of times... and a couple of those were easily to criticize the thread for its very existence. Check my posting history for your proof... and saying "you posted 5 times today" would only demonstrate ignorance considering all posts pretty much came at once and I'm not remotely responsible for that thing staying on page 1. I'll happily watch it die.
  9. I never wanted to bother with this thread... but unbelievably it's somehow reached 29 pages. Still so confident in Peterman??? Peterman seems like he's improved, but it was almost impossible not to from what he was doing last year. Despite whatever McDermott's claims are about slotting in camp at this moment, 6 weeks from the start of camp... I'm doubting Peterman is any better than 3rd in line for Week #1.
  10. They were last year. This year we're hoping for a healthy KB, a Zay Jones sans the rookie yips, Kerley the Contributor, and nice surprise contributors from any combination of Ray Ray, Streater, Reilly, Dupree, etc. But I think simply a healthy Benjamin makes our WR corps a lot better right out the gate
  11. We all obviously hope we did. Several on this board (posting in this thread as well, I might add) are desperately hoping Cleveland drafted the right QB, too, while also simultaneously hoping that Tyrod sucks and is benched mid-season. These people are sad and might be a little miserable if Taylor isn't benched and if he plays well this season. Just be kind to them if that happens because they just won't know what to post about since half their time in the 3 months he's been gone has mostly been posting about Tyrod Taylor. Just give them a little pick-me-up if that happens while the rest of us go on caring about what happens with the Buffalo Bills rather than the Cleveland Browns.
  12. But... since this ridiculous thread is still going and we’re already hearing the positives from his HC and OC, might as well hear from his QB coach: https://www.google.com/amp/s/articles.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2018/06/for_tyrod_taylor_its_just_the.amp Zampese has watched Taylor, 28, step in take control of Todd Haley's new offense. In practice, he's consistently throwing TD passes -- albeit with no contact -- but the timing and efficiency look good. On Wednesday, he rolled left and fired a TD pass to Jarvis Landry in the back corner of the end zone, where the receiver made one of his vintage acrobatic catches. "I'm so excited to have him,'' Zampese said. "I just can't tell you how excited I am to have him. The standard that he sets and the consistency every day, from the time he's in until the time he's out, I haven't seen a guy keep those hours in the spring time. It just brings some comfort level. You know you can trust him, and every day he backs that up.'' ... "I'm a kid in a candy store,'' said Zampese. "There's no limitations with him. He can throw it down the field, he can run the zone read stuff, he can run a conventional offense. Anything you want him to do, he can do those things and like I said, he's just coming into his own so we're still finding out all of the areas that we can get him into. As we get going back here in training camp, we'll explore those things as we gear the offense towards individual strengths.''
  13. Good Lord... let him. Who cares??? It’s sports, he gave 3 solid years to the city of Buffalo, helped get the team to the playoffs for the first time in nearly 2 decades, built a life with a lot of seemingly lifelong friends on the team, and was traded despite wanting to stay. He handled that trade and has handled talking about his old team on his new team with absolute class, including the playoff comment some of you are stupidly up in arms about. And yep, Allen looks good and threw a 65 yard TD today. Super excited about the kid! But let’s see if he’s able to throw a 70+ yard TD in live regular season action... or better yet... do it twice in one game the way Taylor did for us. Nah... more like you Tay Tay 3 months off the team to the day and you’re clearly still obsessed with him. Plus another 71 yarder in the SAME GAME!!! The obsession is strong with some. Oh my GAAAAWWD!!!
  14. Agreed... I think either his rawness was incredibly overblown or he progressed exponentially in the offseason working with Palmer. And based on Beane’s statement that “raw” was essentially what the media basically inaccurately painted him as, I'd guess more the former than the latter.
  15. Oh good, so you do remember. Was concerned about your memory for a moment Or Fitzy's 98 yarder to TO Yep... they've happened. Not very concerned with the distance of the TD... just concerned with getting the QB who can get us to the most Ws on the field. CoT, huh? Yep... just brought Fitz up, too, cause he also threw some bombs in the Ralph. Bro, who are you even talking to? I'm on your ignore list... aren't I? Get back to your rep count envy of 26CB
  16. Did you watch the 2016 home opener? It happened twice in that one game Regardless, this is encouraging... and I think the team rallying behind him is the most encouraging part of all of it.
  17. I think with the confidence you've seen in Allen from the likes of Tre White and Shady and then the entire offense running onto the field excitedly chest bumping Allen after that 70 yard TD to Proehl. If the team sees Allen as the best option clearly, I think McDermott is going to be hard-pressed to keep him on the bench.
  18. And it's as much a part of the evaluation process as OTAs were and Training Camp and Preseason will be... and those will be just practice, too. And before anyone says "well, preseason is where we'll really find out," I think we should all just remember who the preseason star of 2015 was. Training Camp is likely going to be the most meaningful indication of where Allen is and where he will be Week 1. And that doesn't mean the start of Training Camp, because the 1st day or 2 or 3 he's almost certainly going to ride more with the 3s than the 1s--at least, according to McDermott right now--but as we progress, we'll learn a lot more. The fact that Allen has pretty clearly been steadily progressing and has been given a little more responsibility throughout progressively and has pretty obviously already started earning the trust and confidence of his teammates is a pretty big deal. Nothing guarantees anything, but Allen looking good and progressively better through OTAs and Minicamp is a helluva lot better than him sucking throughout.
  19. Okay, so here's what I think is going on: McDermott's "plan" is and has been to have McCarron start and let Allen watch. But it's a "plan" only, I believe, in the sense that it's something he can count on. When you set low/realistic expectations, anything beyond is cherry. Sure, he can't count on Allen being ready because it's still so early in the process of evaluating him. But plans change. I really think he and Dabol are going to have some seriously long talks over the next 6 weeks about how to maximize Allen's development while managing to protect him as a rookie starting QB because as cryptic as McDermott can be, I think he can see that Allen's ahead of the anticipated curve and that the rest of the team can see that, as well.
  20. Oh... it's early... and Allen seems all poised to take the reins this Summer. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.wkbw.com/2617781973/7-observations-from-2018-buffalo-bills-minicamp-day-two.html 1) Josh Allen has his best day yet- After watching four practices of Josh Allen with the whole team, I wrote on Tuesday that he has mainly given up and down performances to this point. However, on Wednesday, he had his best day yet without surrendering a throw that makes you utter, 'Well, what was that?' Allen took one set of first-team reps, just as he did on Tuesday, and opened it up by throwing a dart of a touchdown to Jeremy Kerley. He continued in working with the third-team offense the remainder of the day by continuing to show his clear ability throwing the ball that's just a cut above everything else the Bills have on their roster at the position. Now the one thing I did notice him do a couple of times was trying to get away with making a play with only his arm while sacrificing his footwork. There are times where he won't have a chance to set his feet and make a throw during a game, but in these specific instances he had the time to do so, and it cost him an incompletion. However, that was about as much as you could say in a negative light for Allen's practice on Wednesday, and the Bills have to be happy with the progress that he's made already in this short time.
  21. It's happening folks... it's happening Seems like working up from 3rd string isn't so insurmountable, after all. Anyone out there still really think Allen has only a 5-10% chance of becoming the starting QB week one?
