  1. Really? Why? I think we can win. But I don't expect us to.
  2. We may not have conceded a 200 yard rusher this season, but the Eagles and Browns largely had their way with our Run D and Howard and Chubb are similar RBs to Ingram. If we give up even 100 yards on the ground to Ingram, what do you think Jackson will add to that? 50 yards? I'd say that might be conservative. Plus they have Gus Edwards who's a fantastic complement to Ingram. Forgive me if I'm pretty damn worried about our run D. I think it's justified.
  3. Trump might be permanently buoyed by the 1/3rd of the country or so that are just die hard supporters of his, but a big part of the whole "Make America Great Again" campaign promise wasn't just an inward look, but it was also about the perception and standing of the rest of the world from other countries and his promise to bring that up, not down. He was voted into office largely on that principle, which clearly hasn't happened as we're becoming the country that doesn't keep its promises. We're losing our standing as that "city on the hill." Trump's base doesn't give a crap about that, but no one is swaying the "Trump base,; his base wasn't the reason he got elected and won't be the reason he's reelected, if he is. You believe what Pelosi did was attack a reporter????
  4. When this stuff first started I thought it'd be a Biden/Harris ticket. That sure looks like what it's shaping up to be with Harris unexpectedly and preemptively dropping outta the campaign. Gotta wonder if she and Joe kinda agreed on this.
  5. If that happens and we win, Allen propels himself into the peripheral discussion for MVP. I'm not overly optimistic that's what happens, though. Here's to hopin!
  6. Allen can really shut his critics up this week. I know last week's game was on a national stage, but this week's game is against the best team in the NFL. I think expectations are he's going to fall on his face and have a terrible game this week. Then watch the national narrative very quickly shift back. But just imagine if Allen has a better game than Jackson and the Bills win?!?!
  7. Again... Zeke didn't destroy us with his 71 yards because the Cowboys only ran him 5 times after drive #2.
  8. Because the Cowboys abandoned their run game and threw Pollard in there rather than Zeke. It was bizarre. In the first 2 drives the Cowboys had he ran the ball 7 times for 54 yards. They only handed it off to him 5 more times the remainder of the game! Super glad they did that, but it's not as though they stopped running him because we were stopping him. They were just idiots and went away from him for some weird reason. I think the Ravens coaching staff is smarter than the Cowboys coaching staff.
  9. In games in the 4th Quarter within 7 this year Allen has a passer rating of 123.7, completing 62.8% of his passes at 9.2 YPA with 4 TDs and 0 INTs. That's 5th in the NFL behind Matt Ryan, Ryan Tannehill, Teddy Bridgewater and Russell Wilson. And Allen has the most attempts (43) out of all those other QBs in those situations. Wilson has 39 attempts, Tannehill has 31, Ryan has 20 and Bridgewater has 17. That's such a vast improvement over last year, when he had about the same number of attempts (41), but had a Passer Rating of 71.3 with a 51.3% completion percentage, 7.3 YPA and 2 TDs to 2 INTs
  10. Just being realistic. Our defense hasn't proven at all that it can stop powerful runners consistently, especially the ones between the tackles. There's a reason the team cut Pecko then signed the DT from Miami then signed Liuget: we're still searching for the solution to the big, powerful RB that runs between the tackles. And to top all that off, Edmunds has been a liability as a run defender. I would like this to be the week that we resolve that problem, but Ingram is probably the most powerful between-the-tackle runner we've seen yet, so this week is really sink or swim on defense.
  11. In principle, this idea is great. However, I guarantee at some point an official is going to throw an unnecessary roughness flag on whoever keeps doing it. We're in the age of "protect the Quarterback." Even though in the Option scenario the QB becomes a runner and the defender should be able to tackle the QB in an almost simultaneous scenario with QB and RB with the ball, I can almost guarantee we'll get 15 yard penalties if that's what we commit to doing. That said, it's what I'd like to see happen just for the sake of putting a beating on LJ to make him uneasy. If we committed to doing it constantly and consistently in only the 1st quarter or 1st half and even dealt with 2 or 3 of those roughing penalties, I'd be fine with it if we then backed off in the 2nd half because, after all, Jackson is human and might start seeing ghosts.
  12. Exactly. We've spent so much time focused on LJ, I really feel like if Harbaugh and the Ravens are smart they'll just keep feeding Ingram. Dude's exactly the type of RB our D sucks against and he could run for 200 yards in this game.
  13. Can I do it from 6,000 miles away? Don't think I can handle the cold weather long term anymore.
  14. Seems Daboll is hitting his stride. Went upstairs and is managing a no huddle with run n shoot concepts while talking in Allen's ear as long as he can. As much as I have been up and down with my feelings of him, it seems he's figured something out. Plus, he and Allen seem to work really well together. And of course the reputation Allen had coming into the league will only enhance his stock. And then with Rivera fired and our QB coach with Carolina connections, there's this: So if both of those guys are gone, who the hell is our OC next season???
  15. Deservedly so Yeah. No one's really talking about their D, but I'm pretty worried about their Defense, too. I feel like this is one of those games they shut us down in the 1st half and then we can finally move the ball and score after we make some halftime adjustments. The problem is that'll likely be too late.
  16. Gee... who on earth could you be talking about here??? It's nice to have passive aggressive Thurm back. Allen's clearly not an MVP candidate right now, but nutty? Allen's 5th in TDs in the NFL and 2nd in 4th Quarter Comebacks and Game Winning Drives on a team that's tied for the 2nd best record in the NFL. We've got a brutal final 4 games, which actually sets Allen up pretty well to very much go out and put himself in the MVP conversation for this year. If the Bills were to win out and Allen continued even at the pace he's going statistically, he'd be there. The starting QB with 32+ TDs for a 13-3 football team? Uh... yah... he'd be in the conversation. And he will be if that's what happens. That said, I don't see that happening. I think we go 2-2 in our final 4 games and Allen has a stinker of a game somewhere in there. Allen's not an MVP candidate this year and I was wrong there, but to call that prediction "nutty" at this point is pretty pathetic considering where he and the team sit. Were there other nutty things? I also predicted that Allen would have a completion % greater than 60% this year after having examined every pass last year. Was that nutty? @Wayne Arnold said a couple months ago that this team has what it takes to be a championship contender this year. Was that nutty? You need to stop pretending you're the necessary voice of reason here. Sometimes it distorts your vision.
