  1. Lots going on in Venezuela today: Here timeline had had a ton: https://twitter.com/trish_regan Obviously (use Twitter translate) https://twitter.com/jguaido Hashtag to follow
  2. Nice headline. But in the article: At the same time, Americans assign a similar level of blame to congressional Democrats and President Trump for the situation, the survey finds, signaling that both political parties face challenges on immigration heading into the 2020 presidential election cycle. And I scratch my head over that.
  3. LOL I find this woman completely ridiculous. ?‍♀️
  4. The documents are at the bottom of the post. Trumps sue to quash Deutsche Bank, Capital One subpoenas Deutsche Bank has continued to lend money to the president when other banks have refused. Trump wrote a check to Michael Cohen on his Capital One account. </snip> The suit alleges that Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff and Financial Services Chairwoman Maxine Waters, both D-Calif., have refused to provide the Trumps with copies of the subpoenas, "preventing them from even knowing, let alone negotiating, the subpoenas' scope or breadth." </snip>
  5. Why? The #metoo movement doesn't care about real claims. Lying does not matter to the #metoo movement. Facts do not matter to the #metoo movement. So the guy lied? So it is a case of stolen identity? So what? It is for the "greater good" isn't it? Yeah, I thought not. My guess would be Kamala. She's dying in the polls even with a machine and money behind her. Gotta knock out the new kid on the block that is sucking up all the oxygen.
  6. There is more to come on this ruling next week (same judge) Judges rules Confederate statues are war monuments By Courteney Stuart | April 29, 2019 at 7:04 PM EDT - Updated April 29 at 7:04 PM CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A big decision in the lawsuit over confederate statues in downtown Charlottesville is likely bad news for the city. Charlottesville Circuit Judge Richard Moore has ruled that the statues are war monuments, which are protected under state law. That likely means the city doesn't have the legal right to take them down. In his nine page ruling, Moore cites the fact that both Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson are depicted in their military uniforms and on horses associated with their time in the Civil War. "I believe that defendants have confused or conflated 1) what the statues are with 2) the intentions or motivations of some involved in erecting them, or the impact that they might have on some people and how they might make some people feel,” Moore writes. “But that does not change what they are." </snip>
  7. Come on, you guys know you wanna buy it... This is the whole response at it was cut off on twitter:
  8. Gotta give her credit, she allowed the Rabbi to speak positively about President Trump for over two minutes without interruption.
  9. #metoo crosses genders, all 67 of 'em
  10. O.o This past weekend? What a ***** idiot Ben Rhodes is. I've been saying for weeks now I do not understand these people. There is cold, hard evidence showing that the Obama White House - at the very least - knew about the spying, the Steele dossier, the attempted coup (I am still unable to come to the conclusion that Obama himself ordered this. Indulged in the knowing, giggled like a little girl over it? Sure. Ordered it? Not convinced. He's just not that ambitious.) There is cold, hard, evidence that people conspired to unseat a duly elected American president. And yet these are giving interviews, doing press, book tours, etc all while lying through their teeth. And I say again, I cannot understand how they think these lies will make things better for them. Out "betters". Geez Louise. We need better people in politics.
  11. Probably why the Dems don't want to pass the USMCA deal. Better trade for the US, more jobs, better economy is great for American workers (estimates are 2 million jobs). However, the politics of it is better economy benefits reelecting President Trump. My my hope is they would put Americans first, but then I laugh myself silly thinking it is even a possibility. I am sure Trump will be out in the "rust belt states" hammering this home.
  12. I have wondered the same. There is an awful lot of that going around the days. So much for our "betters" being the "best and brightest".
  13. Got an address for one of those gyms? Asking for a friend.?
  14. Why would anyone run ... hmmm I could stop right there and it would be a complete thought. *cough* Anyhoooo why would anyone pay a registration fee to donate to a political campaign via a 5K run? I understand why the runners felt deceived. I could see them running for "environmental support" but not "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez support" and understand why they feel duped. On the other hand, how difficult is it to mislead people who believe in the Green New Deal as a viable solution to save our "planet's health"? Participants in AOC's 'fun run' didn’t know they were donating to her campaign Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez held a 5k in Queens Saturday that she billed as “a Family Fun Run supporting U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal on the Saturday following Earth Day.” But many of the 400 runners didn’t realize their $30 registration fees were going directly into the lawmaker’s campaign coffers. “We’re getting together for our own health, for our planet’s health … and to fight for the Green New Deal together,” the freshman Democrat told the participants before they set off. Environmentally conscious supporters — who jogged through Astoria Park alongside a beaming, strolling AOC — believed their money was going to help save the planet. </snip>
  15. Interesting thread about the Obama administration spying on Trump, and the Jeff Session recusal: (thread)
  16. That is bad. And the people on the street!? Crazy. A few years back Hubby and I were driving in South Dakota. We were driving into Custer, there were two motorcycles ahead of us, and a small SUV ahead of them. We heard a noise coming from on top of the hill. It was this guy (attached image). Well, we all stopped to see the bison finish coming down the side of that small mountain/hill and walk down the road. Bison in the wild coming wandering so towards us! Nature up close. "How cool is that", we thought!? Until nature got a little too close to the motorcyclists ahead of us - who got nervous (couldn't blame them, this guy was BIG), and they started to scoot to the side ready to take off quickly (I'm not sure what would have happened if he'd have charged, he was that close). Mr. Bison decided not to engage them, and we were up next. Hubby quickly rolled up the window, and Mr. Bison gave us the stink eye as he passed ever so closely to the window of our vehicle. We could hear him snorting and huffing as he wandered down the road. It was as if he owned it. Which, to be honest, at that point in time, he did. Lesson learned? Wild animals have the right of way. ?
  17. And I'd be like... YES!! They exposed that corrupt ####### - not caring at all who the voice was that exposed him. ?‍♀️
  18. Isnt it? Or are the participants grasping at final straws hoping it is not over? They are in so deep that they have to do anything, try anything, to retain their freedom and livelihood?
  19. I simply cannot on these people who go on Twitter screed, on TV junkets or on book tours. They must know what is coming. Is it hubris? Do they truly think they are above the law? Are they hoping to win in the court of public approval that #OrangeManBad and so they did their best to "save the country"? How can these people possibly thing lying and lying and lying some more will save them?
  20. What does "like" have to do with it?
  21. I thought the White House was swept for listening devices all the time? Is this why the head of the Secret Service was fired? For not sweeping?
