  1. From the same article. This has me scared a tad.... I have faith there's at least 10 Republicans who would do the right thing if it came to that.... “Although Democrats swooped in to protect Medicare and other programs from significant cuts after Republicans used reconciliation to pass tax cuts for the wealthy, we need to be realistic that Republicans are less likely to do the same for us,” said one House Democratic aide, who asked to remain on background in order to candidly discuss the concerns. “Are we really going to find 10 Senate Republicans to prevent these cuts after they’ve found Jesus again on the national debt? Let’s be real,” the aide said in a statement. “There’s a good chance they will allow these cuts to happen and paint Democrats as the ones who are responsible since we have total power in Congress and the White House.”
  2. He was the second gunman on the Grassy Knoll.
  3. Hopefully enough Senate votes to make sure no lame duck president ever attempts this bs again. Most votes to convict a president ever I believe.
  4. Right now since he was released. Start the Pegula jet watch.
  5. Both are top five franchise QB's so I'm fine with either. Both are winners (made the playoffs two of their first three seasons) who play with moxie and their team loves playing for them. I'll take Allen just because he seems to embody Buffalo more than Watson. Plus, Watson has taken more of a beating than Allen with 174 sacks in four seasons (Allen had 92 in three). It's just nice having the most vital part of a franchise secured.
  6. If the salary cap is higher than expected then I would put the franchise tag on him and create cap space through cutting or restructuring contracts of less vital players. Gives us one more season to evaluate Edmunds and Milano. Hopefully the salary cap will jump significantly next year.
  7. Reading more about how dysfunctional that organization has been since the Super Bowl victory I don't blame him. I could see the Colts with Frank Reich and that offensive line resurrecting his career.
  8. Here's another crazy Brady stat. He lost two Super Bowls to this guy.
  9. The "Karen's" you cite are about 5% of the population at most. You'll always have societal leaches but most people want to work. The stimulus checks are generous (and necessary to keep our economy afloat) but not permanent. How am I nearly positive at the very latest a year from now life will be back to as close as normal as pre pandemic? Schools and businesses fully open. No masks. People won't stand for it and politicians bend to the will of the people. It's that simple. People hate wearing masks. Younger people hate not being to be going out to the wee hours of the morning on the weekend. Religious people get a lot more out of in person worship than telewhatever. People miss being able to go to large parties and see their extended family. Post pandemic habits will be slower to change. It sucks right now but it will eventually get better.
  10. It’s more they want Trump out of their hair for good but go on with your incoherent rant.
  11. Because he keeps posting gifs that this thing is going to last forever. I figured any time before that would be good news to him.
  12. Bingo. Most GOP senators would convict if there weren't personal political consequences if they did.
  13. It's been more useful in keeping me warmer outside during this February deep freeze. Maybe because it's good news.
  14. We had about 40 people at my aunt's house because she had a huge satellite dish and the game was blacked out locally. The memory of that 2nd half will last a lifetime.
  15. It also paints Republican Senators who vote to acquit him as condoning the riots. The more video and images they show the worse it's going to look.
  16. If Watson goes to any of the visiting teams then that's who they'll play. I'd go Saints, Cowboys, and Bills in that order of most likely as it stands right now.
  17. We'll see next year when life will hopefully get back to normal. It's hard to draw any conclusions though as I'm guessing a lot of people who usually don't watch football but will attend Super Bowl parties that didn't this year didn't tune in to the game. Having said that, improve your damn halftime show. It was awful.
  18. Two things are pry both true... -The team would've never made it to the Super Bowl without Brady coming to Tampa. The three players who scored a TD were recruited by Brady. -A game manager who doesn't make mistakes easily wins that Super Bowl and that's what Brady was. He was smart enough to go to a team that was just a few ingredients away (both on and off the field) and he went and provided those missing pieces. I can't minimize his accomplishment because the defense played really well.
  19. Of course they do out of fear of having their political lives destroyed. My hunch is if they did a secret ballot he'd be convicted just based off Liz Cheney retaining her seat in the House. It's not a criminal trial so the high standards of "proving a charge of inciting insurrection" isn't required to convict. There's no way in hell he's not being acquitted but having a majority of Senators (including a few Republicans) vote to have him convicted will hopefully send a message to future president's (and the American public) about the importance of the peaceful transition of power. I don't want another January 5th scene (or worse) as those pictures have been disseminated throughout the world making us look like a freaking banana republic.
  20. You seem like a rationally poster in most other threads but I’m not going to respond to someone who believes all that. There’s another message board for that.
  21. Did you follow through?
  22. Source? Also, Trump was such a divisive figure he could've cured cancer a month before the election and not a single vote would've changed.
  23. Josh isn't overlooked. The fact that he finished ahead of Mahomes tells me that. If Rodgers had the same year last year he had this year Lamar would've have won MVP and maybe received four votes like Josh. Just bad timing. As far as Mahomes two years ago....50 TD's, 8 INT's, 5,097 yards passing, 113.8 passer ratting. Pretty, pretty, good.
