Gregory Rousseau surprises mom with a new jeep
Doc Brown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jeeps have come a long way. This one actually made it across the parking lot. -
Here's the poll that article was referring too. I think no matter how we withdrew we were going to look weak and feeble but Biden certainly exasperated that image. We'll continue to be the "Empire" as we're still spending up the wazoo on defense. However, between abandoning the Kurdish fighters in Syria, reentering the Iran Agreement, and allowing the Taliban to take over Afghanistan.... our image has taken a significant hit. This doesn't really address your question but a question in the same poll more specific to Afghanistan they asked, "Do you think the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan makes the United States safer from terrorism, less safe from terrorism, or makes no difference?" 44% - less safe, 45% - no difference, 8% - more safe, and 3% - no opinion. I don't really see how anybody can look at us withdrawing and conclude there's "no difference" when it comes to a risk of a terrorist attack on US soil. People want to have their cake and to eat it too.

The headline is kind of amusing because it implies the question of the poll is "do you approve of Biden's botched Afghanistan withdrawal?" Obviously it's not the way the question was phrased. You know you royally screwed up when 37% of the president's parties base disapprove of something you did. The more interesting finding of the poll is the withdrawal itself is more than 75% popular across party lines.

Stake your position on abortion
Doc Brown replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Twenty weeks has always been my answer before there's any chance of fetus viability. I'm not going to take away someone's freedom to choose before then. I'm more concerned about stopping a woman from having to make that decision in the first place. The fact that we now have less abortions per capita since Roe v. Wade shows we've done an excellent job on that front. Increased education, more access to contraceptives, more males getting vasectomies, etc... -
Calling it now: Devin will be a 1000 yard back this year
Doc Brown replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m calling 2000 plus combined yards now that they have that extra game. -
Speed: John Brown vs E Sanders
Doc Brown replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said after Beane got here so I could avoid somebody hitting me with the Gilmore and Woods examples. LOL. I agree with your sour grapes point though when it comes to most players. Especially one's who weren't fan favorites when they were here like Gilmore. Darby, Watkins, and Brown have been average at best. Especially the latter two. -
Abortion Basically Illegal In Texas Now
Doc Brown replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
How are abortion clinics in Texas going to afford all the legal fees to defend themselves in the courts as they'll face a barrage of lawsuits by pro life groups (consisting of private citizens)? This is a really clever workaround by Texas. -
Speed: John Brown vs E Sanders
Doc Brown replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's really before Beane got here though. Thinking of all the high profile cuts or letting players walk in free agency I can only really think of two players (Wyatt Teller and Logan Thomas - I guess) that has excelled elsewhere. That includes Watkins, Clay, Shady, Glenn, Dareus, P. Brown, Lawson, Phillips, McCoy, Ragland...I'm sure I've forgetting a few. Darby's been okay. I'm not saying Jon Brown can't rebound and be the player he was two seasons ago but that would require him to stay healthy and not lose a step being 31 now as he makes a living off his elite speed. He had leg issues early in his career due to being diagnosed with a sickle cell trait and I don't know with how much that had to do with his injury problems last year. Plus, I don't know if it's a great sign that they chose to keep Zay Jones over you. -
Speed: John Brown vs E Sanders

Sanders plays outside too so he’s more versatile compared to Brown. I suspect you’ll see Sanders and Davis split time opposite Diggs as the Z receiver in 11 personnel. Then you’ll see Beasley and Sanders in the slot with Diggs and Davis outside in 10 personnel. -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
Doc Brown replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's typical with breakthrough infections. Glad you got the vaccine so you can recover in time for the Bills thrashing the Steelers. -
Abortion Basically Illegal In Texas Now
Doc Brown replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Can you spread abortions to grandma? Anyways, you can make the same argument with pro lifers. The government shouldn't be able to mandate vaccines because it's people's bodies yet they should be able to regulate woman's bodies by outlawing abortions? Abortion has always been confusing to me on both sides stances. -
Andre Roberts? He made the 53 man roster for the Texans.

Head Coach Sean McDermott Against Rookie QBs
Doc Brown replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Makes sense as Herbert's two worst games last year were against Buffalo and New England. So even if these rookie QB's are as good as he is out of the gate I have faith that McDermott/Frazier will find a way to confuse them into a couple of mistakes that determine the outcome of the game. -
Give them the Lee Smith pick for Roberts and cut Butler.
-
This. Plus, Beasley and Sanders are very good at finding soft spots in zones. When we do go into two TE sets Sweeney is the better blocker and has good hands (although not as athletic as Hollister).

Brandon Beanes Presser today…informative
Doc Brown replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They rotated since McBeane's been here but they've never kept more than nine. This year they keep 11? I really was hoping Butler or Zimmer would get the axe. -
Brandon Beanes Presser today…informative
Doc Brown replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fans pry value TE's more than Daboll does. I think we're going to go a lot more 10 personnel this year. Gilliam having a strong camp pry allowed them to cut Hollister and keep that extra D-lineman. -
I doubt it as it damages his reputation with future free agents (and current players) if he reneges on a handshake agreement.
