  1. I'm saying that expecting them to not draft a player in the first round that will be a full time starter is unlikely given their draft history in the first round based off your comment.
  2. 2017 - T. White - full time starter his rookie year. 2018 - Josh Allen - started after the regime saw Peterman for one half in a regular season game. 2018 - Tremaine Edmunds - full time starter his rookie year. 2019 - Ed Oliver - saw about half of the snaps in the defensive line rotation. 2021 - Greg Rousseau - saw about half of the snaps in the defensive line rotation. Elam appears to be the outlier.
  3. No. That's not the reason. It was more to do with whether the total snaps played the last five seasons included players originally drafted by the team more than five years ago (White, Milano, Dawkins). The tweet said "total snaps played in last 5 years by players a team drafted themselves." It doesn't specify whether for example Mahomes would count for the Chiefs as he's a player they drafted themselves six years ago.
  4. Tyler Bass too . You unfortunately can add Cody Ford and Zay Jones to that list who played every game their rookie year. I believe Spencer Brown played most of his rookie year as a starter. The deeper your roster is the less you need to rely on rookies as we have the third most wins over the last five seasons. I will say though the reluctance to give Shakir and Elam more reps last year was frustrating. Making Elam a healthy scratch at the Pats is still one of the enigmas of last year.
  5. Confusing tweet as I'm assuming it's the number of snaps the players we drafted in the last five years played for us. A lot of this goes back to the 2017 offseason where we got five regulars that have started nearly every snap for at least five of the last six years (White, Dawkins, Milano, Poyer, Hyde). There's other reasons (Diggs trade, d-line rotation, etc.) but that's pry the main reason. Not many teams have that many core starters over the last six years. This list means very little by the way except to laugh at the Raiders.
  6. The last draft that didn't produce a #1 WR in the NFL was arguably 2009 and definitely 2002. Granted, they all came in different rounds. Odds are there is a #1 WR out there but finding him may be tricky. That's what Beane an his scouts get paid to do.
  7. It's becoming a Coen brothers movie plot. Maybe Lamar can make some money off of it unless he demands to be the director.
  8. If I'm McDermott, it's time to think outside the box and step out of your comfort zone.
  9. Beane worries about it or we'd have Edmunds back. Just Beane's comments about wanting to remain competitive every year we have Josh makes me think it's unlikely we'll trade for Hopkins. I don't think he wants to kick the can down the road by putting dummy years on Hopkins contract.
  10. Opening the borders more is another must if you want new businesses and tax payers given the declining US birth rate.
  11. I want to see Singletary's official number as "up to" 3.75M dollars was the report. It matters too to see if he qualifies for a comp pick.
  12. I’m not surprised given they didn’t announce the terms right away. Plus, Beane doesn’t overpay RB’s.
  13. The Patriots hoped that with Stephenson. It's a small risk and it's why I don't think this signing means Beane won't rule out Beane drafting a RB as early as the 3rd round given this is just a one year commitment with Harris.
  14. Singletary's contract was worth up to 3.75 million so we don't know the exact number guaranteed. My guess is around what Mostert got at 2.8 million maybe with some contract incentives to earn "up to" four million. Edit: Also, since the terms haven't been reported it's usually because the agent and/or player doesn't want to put it out there so it makes me think it's on the lower side of what he expected (like Poyer's deal).
  15. They signed Yeldon before drafting Singletary. They signed Johnson before drafting Cook. If the value is there I don't think they hesitate on taking a flyer in the later rounds.
  16. You're making the assumption Motor wanted to re-sign with the Bills. Maybe he doesn't like state taxes or cold weather. Harris has a no bs straight ahead run you over type running style whereas Motor was more cerebral trying to make guys miss. He's the ying to Cook's yang.
  17. Like the player and the fit. Hate that he’s coming from the evil empire.
  18. YouTube TV has has unlimited DVR and you can pause, rewind, fast forward through commericals, etc.. There's no dropoff as long as your wifi is working fine.
  19. They very well could draft a tackle in the first round as it qualifies as a premium position. I'm still all for drafting the best player available at a premium position regardless of need on either side (other than quarterback) in the first round.
  20. How is that fun? Obviously they don't but an indictment of Trump is exactly what they want. The Manhattan DA is a Democrat and that's all the ammunition Trump needs to paint this as a political hit job regardless of his guilt. Actually, now that I think about it even if the DA was a Republican it would still be portrayed by the Trump campaign as the elites trying to eliminate him from becoming president again. I can't wait for the"they're just after me because they hate you" line at one of his stupid rallies.
  21. I'm pretty sure that's the purpose if you're a democratic operative looking towards the GOP presidential primaries.
  22. We're not even going to get that. It was a series of unfortunate events that cost us Edmunds. It was the first tough free agent loss under Allen's contract and it won't be the last. It's our new reality. Deal with it.
  23. They have to with Burrow. His splits under pressure vs. kept clean are night and day. Meanwhile, Allen is the best under pressure in the NFL. I'm not saying we shouldn't prioritize OL, but I wish people would stop comparing us to the Bengals in this area.
