  1. The Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, and Commanders. Just not against us. Also, the Falcons, Panthers, and Saints.
  2. Not first round picks. It will be how quick Kincaid can learn the offense, establish rapport with Allen, and adjust to playing against NFL defenses. I expect around 40 catches for 500 yards or so.
  3. A head coach is going to hire the best assistants possible because it gives them the best chance to win and keep their job. Thinking they're afraid that hiring too good of a coordinator that they might threaten their job is tin foil hat stuff man.
  4. He also said he plans to find the last digit of pi by the bye week.
  5. Fair enough. I asked that question because Payton was the only coach available that I would've considered making the switch to after the Bengals game if I was Pegula. A proven innovative offensive minded NFL head coach who has a strong enough resume/personality to sell to the fans and players that as much as McD is loved, they just couldn't pass on that upgrade. I pry still wouldn't have done it because we have too good of a thing going here at present. I'd have to see either a disastrous season not due to an influx of injuries or another playoff game where McD was as thoroughly outcoached as he was in that Bengals game. I doubt McD chooses assistants who won't threaten his job. That's not how the NFL works. You want to do everything you can to hire the best assistants because winning is the key to job security in a cutthroat business that is the NFL. The only two examples off the top of my head in the last 10 or so seasons is two ex Bills head coaches ironically (Mularkey and Marrone). They had some weird team dynamics there and they were replacing two horrible head coaches.
  6. It's just one guy named Adam Rank. He's harmless. Last year he had the Broncos going 12-5 and the Chiefs missing the playoffs. He bought that narrative so why not buy the narrative that the Jets are the new Broncos and the Bills are the new Chiefs this year.
  7. They would've saved 1.5 million releasing him so they like him enough to keep him on the roster. The question is whether he'll be just a return guy or used more in the offense now that he should have a firm grasp on the playbook. It's interesting that both depth charts in this thread have Settle as the 2nd DT. I see him as the odd man out with Oliver, Jones, Ford, and Phillips as the starting four.
  8. It was just a joke. I know in terms of DVOA we lucked into the playoffs that year as our expected win total was between 6 and 7 depending on what metric you used. We also had a negative point differential if memory serves me correctly. Let me ask you this question because you seem to be rightfully more skeptical of McD than the average Bills fan. Would you have fired McDermott after last season if you could've replaced him with Sean Payton?
  9. True and I have no idea because the offense would be constructed differently. McDermott did make the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor though which is about the equivalent of qualifying for the Daytona 500 with a Prius.
  10. I agree and I’m glad McDermott is removing the “Frazier” excuse from getting outcoached when against elite offenses in the playoffs. It was a necessary move. That style of defense is great against average qb’s but the elite one’s will pick it apart in today’s NFL. The defensive offseason moves they made tell me they’ve become well aware of that. I pointed out Marvin Lewis because he couldn’t win even a Wild Card game where they were favored multiple times and even he was given a decade or something like that until he was axed after going 0-7 in the playoffs. McDermott at least isn’t a complete choker in the playoffs like he was. There’s something to be said for consistently putting up double digit wins, winning your division, and punching your lottery ticket each year. I just wouldn’t throw that away too quickly. I do have faith he’ll figure it out pretty soon here.
  11. I give him more of a leash because he has won four playoff games in the last three seasons (aka when Josh Allen became Josh Allen). He’s not like Marvin Lewis where he is 0-7 in the playoffs or something like that. He has to be embarrassed about the Bengals game though. We were so outcoached when on defense that we made Joe Burrow look like he could walk on water. Just no imagination on defense. It’s why Frazier was fired and I expect a much more creative defense against the elite qb’s with McDermott calling the plays. If not, then I’d consider a change if I was Pegula.
  12. In this case it was a gofundmepage and the donations exploded after Tua donated 10 grand. Rich people donating to charity has always been damned if you do, damned if you don't because there's people like you who will always criticize said person no matter what.
  13. I was joking. He has an average arm for a starter. He's not a good deep ball thrower though.
  14. We don't have the money to build that many prisons. Why do thieves never target politicians’ homes? Professional courtesy.
  15. He didn't have to donate anything and 10k should be more than enough to cover funeral costs. Props to Tua. He still has a noodle arm though.
  16. If Hopkins helps them beat the Dolphins and the Jets it could be a blessing in disguise. I wouldn't say once in a while but Burrow is more accurate, throws with better touch, and processes information quicker than Allen. Allen has a stronger arm, is obviously a better scrambler, and is the best in the league at making off script plays imo.
  17. Continuity for your offensive line is a lot more important than for your defensive line. You also expend a lot more energy per play as a defensive lineman than an offensive lineman.
  18. Yeah. Even rich people like me who like to interact with the plebs once in a while don't want to sit in the elements. I'd buy seasons if it was a dome but after suffering through that '07 Giants home game.....forget about it.
  19. I would. I think Oliver has been the better player to this point in both of their careers. McGlinchey is an average starting tackle, a better run blocker than pass blocker, and got overpaid. There weren't a lot of good RT options available this offseason. Juwaan Taylor would've been my preferred target but not at 20 million a year like he got in KC.
  20. I just think he's sick of coming up short every year and the honeymoon period with Josh is over until they win a Super Bowl. Even if he doesn't and leaves within the next couple of years he'll always be admired for my favorite TD celebration of all time....
  21. It's a cool cover but you'd need somebody spilling their beer for it to be realistic. Also, 100 bucks for the deluxe version. In this economy?
  22. I agree but some of its on him holding onto the ball too long to extend plays which often work out. It’s a double edged sword.
  23. That's pry the most logical conclusion of where this is heading. I don't know about banishment but a one year suspension. If you lose a lot in betting say a hockey game there has to be a temptation to maybe bet a football game you're playing in to get out of the hole you dug yourself into.
  24. I think all the positions are filled at this point. If you're talking about next year he should have no problem getting a defensive coordinator job if he wants it.
  25. Bills offense last three years: 2020 - 2nd in points, 2nd in yards 2021 - 3rd in points, 5th in yards 2022 - 2nd in points, 2nd in yards Yet he lumps us in with the Steelers, Seahawks, Bears, and Chargers because they have defensive head coaches.
