  1. We only have one consistent WR in his current role over the last few years in Diggs. Everybody else is a projection. We've never seen Davis with an extended workload as the true #2 WR. McKenzie's most catches was 30 in 2020 and has to prove it he can shoulder an increased workload in the slot. Crowder is too much of a wild card given he's been hobbled the last few years. Shakir and Hodgins flashed this camp/preseason but they haven't done jack squat in the regular season. They could both struggle once the real season begins. I can see a lot of scenarios (injuries, failing to live up to the hype) where an OBJ signing early in the season would be great insurance down the stretch. I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger if he's still available after week 5 or so and we're confident he can come back from his ACL surgery. That's assuming he knows what he signed up for.
  2. He was following Morris and was looking for the hole to open up to the right. Morris got rocked by the rushing LB and blew up the play. Moss made a nice cut back and showed some speed that was lacking last year. It was an impressive run given what he had to deal with.
  3. You're banking on him punting it 70 plus yards every time as justification for not needing good/great gunners?
  4. Players are immune from any punishment regarding tampering via the NFL's anti tampering policy.
  5. Same as last year. Play the one’s the first quarter to half of the last preseason game to help knock the rust off and get in rhythm for the Rams game. You risk injury just getting out of bed in the morning. It’s part of life.
  6. Shakir at this point is my best guess. He’s a shrimp but performed well against the Colts first string defense even if they were in a vanilla scheme. I expect him to play the exact role Davis did last year. I just wish we had better options.
  7. Not really when you run a populist campaign. It was his main attraction. He held the presidency for four years before losing if that counts. I agree it’s crazy but people include the FBI as part of the “deep state.”
  8. I think it’s an overreaction because Barkley’s so limited when it comes to arm strength and mobility. Keenum at least has average arm strength and a LOT more experience and success as a starter in this league. Also keep in mind that Keenum was playing most of their starters with our backups.
  9. You underestimate Trump’s negatives. He never got more than 47% of the vote despite running against the two weakest dem candidates in my lifetime.
  10. I don't like to overreact to one game especially when we have a large sample size of both of their NFL careers as starters at this point.
  11. Seems to be a Rooties bleu cheese shortage. I can't find it anywhere.
  12. I'd like to see Keenum behind the 1st team offensive line for a quarter or so. Maybe sit Dawkins and see what Quessenberry can do at left tackle. Other than that, play the same players as the first game. I don't want Allen, Diggs, Miller, etc... playing until September 8th.
  13. Other's do pliable workouts, eat avocado ice cream, and thrive at the highest level at the age of 45. I wonder if Allen should embrace the TB12 method.
  14. Yeah. You make a good point with Matakevich as it's significant savings if he's cut. For the cap gurus out there, can Beane rework his contract if he's willing to take a pay cut? If not then I wouldn't have a problem with the Bills cutting him as long as we keep Kumerow, Jones, and Neal.
  15. You want to field the best 53 that help you win this year. That means continuing to have a strong Special Teams unit (and trusting them with a squib kick). Kumerow, Matekavich, Jones, and Neal are four core special teams players who usually fill in adequately in emergency situations at their respective positions (rash of injuries in a game). You should be able to stash guys like Blackshear, Hodges, Spector, and Lewis on the practice squad. They don't have to make that decision now as he won't count against the 53 man roster being on the reserved/suspended list.
  16. I think every team feels like this post cuts. I thought for sure Cam Lewis would be snagged by someone last year.
  17. Guys. Just use common sense. Why in the world would a person risk being behind bars the rest of his life for not returning classified documents? Was a full out raid really necessary? This whole thing just seems like an overzealous DOJ and FBI that will only continue to fuel populism as people become more and more skeptical of our government institutions.
  18. How did he last until the 5th round? He looks as smooth back then as he does now.
  19. The NFL pry doesn't want him on the field week 7 along with a federal lawsuit hanging over the NFL all season. Twelve or more games with a hefty fine would avoid that headache.
  20. Usually. Does the NFL want to take that chance?
  21. No. The judge could've ruled that the NFL didn't present enough evidence to warrant a suspension. Watson would've gotten zero games and there's nothing the NFL could've done about it.
  22. They do but may want to avoid Watson's camp bringing a federal lawsuit against them. Watson's goal should be to avoid a year long suspension so his contract won't get pushed back a year.
  23. Anytime I can make Bayless look like an idiot, I will. I was just referring to how the diva reputation is sometimes driven by a false media narrative and directly debunked by coaches/players who interact with him daily.
