Week 18: Jets at Bills - a W wins the AFC East!
LABILLBACKER replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
So true. We need to be mentally prepared to take on any kind of team. The power run like Indy or Tenn. Or a team with a dynamic qb like KC or LAC. It's too late to stress over getting a 1 or 2 seed. Beat the Jets convincingly and reward yourself with another AFCE Championship. Whoever we get, we get. Attack them..... -
NFL looking at AT&T Stadium as a backup plan for the Super Bowl

How about a revenge hail Murray rematch. The Brady / Rodgers narrative has played out. Stafford is over-rated. Perfect weather in LA guaranteed, I like our chances.

I don't care where it is as long as 2 things happen. 1. Minimize or reduce the wind, enhancing Josh's ability to win a championship. 2. Absolutely guaranteed the greatest tailgaters in the history of sports have ample area to feast, break tables and squirt ketchup. I do lean toward the dome argument but I also appreciate the allure of an open stadium experience.

That's why its imperative we improve the OL. That's why we need to find someone more compelling than a decent Singletary. It's only a matter of time when Josh gets popped and is out for the season. Improving the line allows Josh to continue refining his pocket game. People forget part of this " hero ball" is his legs. I'm still 100% convinced a dome would only enhance his skillset. But it's too exhausting fighting with the diehards. Let's see what happens. Maybe some really smart engineers will build an open stadium that can drastically minimize the wind. This team needs to find one identify and stick with it. -
QBs never acclimulate to wind any more than golfers do. Once that ball gets in the air you lose all control.
-
Bates should have been in the starting lineup long ago. Oh well better late than never.
-
Huge companies like Nike and Progessive waste millions on this terrible qb. Embarrassing pick for endorsements.
-
Nobody is good in bad weather. Especially elite qbs. The only advantage is if we had a mauler OL and D. Henry. I don't want to hear a peep when Josh struggles in the wind etc. Sometimes you get what you ask for.

Can we finally put the need for a dome stadium to rest?

I don't care how the hell they engineer / design it as long as the wind is practically eliminated. -
I think it's going to take Josh a little longer to find that fine line between touch and missiles. Alot of his first drive throws were way too hard. We knew he's trying to compensate for wind, snow etc. He's just going to find that happy medium.

QB 2022-23 Extensions.. Trades... Rookie Class

I'd rather sign Daniel Jones as a backup when he flames out in NY. -
Alot of that 17 is the low completion %. On the opening drive I counted 3-4 drops. More drops occurred throughout the game. The Beasley INT should have been a flag. The other 2 were 100% on Josh as a man was standing right there in his passing lane. We need to just focus more on running and shorter passes during bad weather games. Let's not overthink this.

Confused by a stat graphic Fox kept showing

Sanchez seemed so distracted and disengaged yesterday. He was always looking somewhere else. He really brought very little to the broadcast. -
Bills Were 3 Yards Away From Being The 1 Seed.

So many what if close loses. Blocked punt, the slip, the no pi on Diggs. The offense craps the bed v Jags. At least the Colts had the decency of exposing our weak run defense. This was far from a perfect season but 11 wins and another division would be sweet. There are no dominant teams this season. -
Good if not great comparison. He's a taller stronger version of Steve Young with some Big Ben. I would never lazily compare him to Cam because of his superior attitude. I am concerned with this bad weather bad game trend. You can't deny it, it's right there. They better build that new "open" stadium with engineering the wind out of it.

He was flat out awful yesterday. I don't know if he can be salvaged but put McKenzie in there Sunday and hope for the best.

Milano will always be our best linebacker. Tremaine will be our best middle cornerback.

Week 17 Gameday Bills vs Falcons Postgame Thread -PLAYOFFS!
LABILLBACKER replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beasley certainly didn't look to upset or animated over the play. In real time it looked like the ball went right by him. Either Beasley or Gabe broke their route off a little early? -
There's always going to be an inherent part of Josh who drifts back to hero ball. Last week he was smart, disciplined and took what the D gave him. There's only one final part of his game that needs to be solidified. And that's the mental part.
