Just the way Sean likes em....
-
The niners don't stand a chance. Spags will make Purdy's life miserable. Kelce will push off like Gronk and always be open. KC's oline will be allowed to hold all day. Mahomes will scramble and make off script plays. And the extra $350 million dollars that the NFL has generated since Swift hooked up with Travis will be fulfilled. Mahomes will become the NFL's new Brady love child. And everyone else will just be chasing.

I honestly think the way Lamar and Dak have looked in the playoffs will now factor in toward future mvp voting. Josh's playoff stats are amazing albeit his defense let's him down every year. And understanding there's probably a large number of AP voters who didn't pick Josh panning out from Wyoming. This ridiculous narrative will be very difficult to wash off people no matter how many unbelievable plays 17 makes.

Yes, the current formula is this: 1. You must be a qb on a #1 seed 2. You must have less than 10 ints 3. Qbr over 65 and Qb rating over 100. Total yards, total tds are inconsequential.
-
Well at least QBR factors in athleticism and a qb's ability to run. All qb rating cares about is completion % and ints.

What are your feelings on James Cook RB1
LABILLBACKER replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would replace him with those Bills rbs you mentioned because they all had substantially more focus & concentration. That's the biggest thing that's keeping James Cook from an elite top 3 RB. His talent is literally off the charts. We see the speed running and his ability to get separation on wheel routes. But it's all meaningless if he can't finish the play. It's like a shortstop making an unbelievable diving play, only to throw the ball 10 rows up in the stands. The mental toughness, focus and concentration required to play in the NFL must include holding on to the damn ball. This isn't a 1 year problem either. Hopefully this kid figures it out? -

I hate to break this to fans but Cook's drop problems are NOT easily fixable. He drops easy passes because he doesn't focus. This isn't a technique or physicality issue. Rolling in a jugs will not solve this. Obviously we're all rooting for him to improve the fumbles (4) and dropped tds (4). But it's only happening with a sense of mental focus. -

All 4 of his dropped td passes were not lasers thrown to him. In fact 2 were touch passes. He drops passes like that because of a lack of focus. This isn't something a jugs machine or ping pong balls are going to fix. -
What are your feelings on James Cook RB1

Yes he had 4-5 monster all purpose games this year spearheaded by the Dallas game. Yet in 4 playoff games he somewhat disappears like Diggs. In the regular season he's Tarzan and plays like Jane in post season. That's not going to ever get us over the KC/ Cincy hurdle. -
What are your feelings on James Cook RB1

He's somewhat proven to be a bonified RB1. But the drops and fumbles are undeniable. Can someone work with him on technique and focus? Who knows?? He needs to have a good complementary power RB as a change of pace. I love what Ty brings but we need someone 10x more reliable than Harris/ Murray. Not trading for CMC while I watch James drop 4 td passes this season absolutely tore me up. He has the capacity to improve. The question is does he have the mental toughness and desire to do it? These are all questions that will likely be answered this fall. -
Bills to add Ronald Curry as quarterbacks coach (updated)
LABILLBACKER replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cook is going to drop passes his whole career and all the jugs work isn't going to help much. I just see more focus in CMC than I do in James Cook. -
I do love Thomas, Franklin & Sweat. But the road to get those 3 might cost even more.

Bills Draft Needs - From the Athletic
LABILLBACKER replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he was 30 and coming off his 2nd acl I'd say maybe but at 35 he's absolutely done. He'll be kept by McDermott. He'll have 4-5 sacks and look like Epenesa. And after year 3 we'll regret every penny we spent on him. Burn that down Von.... -
Bills Draft Needs - From the Athletic

It's not sad and trust me you're not alone. That contract is a collasal bust. The sooner we move on from this failed experiment the better. -
Hochuli agrees 😁

The biggest flaw in mvp voting is it doesn't factor playoffs. It's basically a regular season award given to the qb with the least amount of interceptions. I think after this season the Lamar love- fest will wane because of his playoff struggles. Josh will probably be runner up a 3rd time.

Get excited... change is NOW with a youth wave!!!
LABILLBACKER replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree, they will end up regretting it. If they think Von somehow bounces back this fall they're dreaming. Release him and wear it. Spend the 6.7 toward DQ and draft DE. -
How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
LABILLBACKER replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was definitely an upper body injury. Seeing him try to get up during the Steeler game you could see it. Ribs?...abdominal? -
He gets rewarded by sheer virtue that he never gets punished. This is his 3rd offense as you mentioned and I doubt it will be his last. Yes it is ridiculous. I've lost 2 family members to drunk drivers. And because his son is famous he'll likely get another slap on the wrist so he can go out and do it again. At least Andy's kid is doing time. The entitlement of this family is the reward.

Well Tre's deal better be reworked all the way down to align with his lack of production. Players don't bounce back from consecutive ACL- Achilles injuries. -

Player X is definitely the option to choose. Now the question is should it be DQ (my choice) or Floyd? It may require more than that 7M to entice one of them. I just don't see Von ever returning to his form of early 2022. -
He is petulant but one of his more impressive attributes is tuning out the dysfunctional members of his family. And not letting it affect his focus. I think his true family is Travis and Andy.

If Mitchell runs a 4.45 or better at the combine, he's gotta be the target at 28. Absolutely no way I'm trading up in the 1st round like with Watkins. There's so many good wrs we can turn around and get another in the 3rd or 4th round.
