That seems to be the reality of the situation which causes me to lash out. I wouldn’t even consider having kids unless I was still pulling in 175k-200k. It just doesn’t make much sense to me. My parents weren’t nasty about it, but it was definitely frowned upon to collect unemployment, etc. it’s a little different in NJ tho since we pay into it.

John Hinckley To Be Released From Jail
Governor replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Did you see that Donald wanted to kill Assange? Lots of people said that early on. They needed to shut him up. He knew way too much and they were afraid he would turn on Donald. -
I’m extremely conservative when it comes to means-testing and children. Lol. It’s real simple. If the bill on the floor isn’t good for every American, then it isn’t good for any American. No more splitting us up into groups and creating division, which leads to people thinking they’re owed something or they earned it and this person doesn’t deserve this or that for whatever reason. I also support UBI and THEN eliminating every other program out there, social security, children stuff, welfare, etc. Just have 1 program for everyone. It’s already set up for the IRS to dump money in everyone’s accounts. Give it to the wealthy also and just get it back in taxes at the end of the year.

Bootstraps. The child tax credit is the worst policy I’ve ever seen. That needs to be axed ASAP. The only reason it passed is because lawmakers were afraid to vote against something for “the children.” That’s not how Washington should be operating. The homeless veteran without kids needs help too. Why can’t he get it?

I’m not a progressive. There should be zero policy geared towards helping middle class homeowners with kids. The entire tax code and every other existing policy is already in place to lift up that group. There should also be zero policy geared specifically for children and parents. It just isn’t sound policy. If a policy/program isn’t good enough and available for every American citizen, then it isn’t sound policy and shouldn’t be passed. No more means-testing and targeted hand outs.

Why on earth would I, as a taxpayer, care about the development of someone else’s kid, pay taxes to babysit that kid, so the parents can continue contributing to a broken economic system while millions can’t even have quality HC in that same system? I’m a borderline self-identified communist and I think that’s absolutely crazy! Nanny state socialism for some……rugged individualism and unregulated capitalism for everyone else. I’ve never seen so many people that totally rely on the state in my life. People should be paying more taxes if they have children, not getting tax breaks and free babysitting. That’s far worse than erasing student loan debt for people. There should be zero policy aimed towards rewarding bad behavior, not until you bend the knee and swear allegiance to Uncle Joe. Socialism!

Just so we’re clear here….. ”Collective humanity” sounds a lot like collectivism. That’s not at all like individualism, which this board praises. So, free preschool and Biden child tax credit for YOU = good. Welfare = bad Free school lunches = bad Unemployment for working class people = bad GEt A jOb! HC for working poor = bad gET yOUr oWN! Hmm. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed this level of Socialism/white entitlement before from a board full of so-called libertarians.

Is you drunk already? It’s only 7:15. Lol. Preschool isn’t necessary. That’s just another excuse to dump children off on the state which perpetuates new generations of bad parents. Who the hell needs to go to preschool? How bad of a parent would you have to be to not have your kid ready for kindergarten? Oh, you mean “state sponsored” babysitting so you can go out each day and play capitalist. Now I get it. So, I have to pay for your socialist babysitting just so you guys have a few hours at night to play pretend capitalist. Lol. I see. As far as free college. It’s real simple. It stays free if you keep you gpa up, or you have to start paying.

Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake
Governor replied to Billy Zabka's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we can get to next season with him, just at a reduced game-specific role. I can picture what the coaches “want” Edmunds to be, but it just isn’t going to happen. There also has to be a better replacement, otherwise we’ll just have to accept that teams will run and pass right at Edmunds down the stretch of each season. -

I don’t know what to do for this season. We just have to hope he doesn’t cost us games. You can’t let an experiment sink the entire team. McD/Frazier defenses have always been torched by TE’s and down the seam. I get it. I see the process. Edmunds just can’t play football. We need to draft/sign another version of that player that can actually play and finish the experiment. -

I don’t fault McD for taking that position and running an experiment to fill the holes in the scheme. In fact, I think the experiment itself yielded some positive results. But it’s clear that Edmunds can’t be that guy. I expect them to draft his replacement with our late round first. There’s no doubt about that. I would also reduce his snap count as games get closer and more important. -
9/26/21 Bills vs. WTF Postgame Thread

I watched some of that game. Reminded me of Josh in his first year with no receivers that can catch. His height is a huge factor. -

It’s like that show Quantum Leap. The guy ends his previous mission and travel through time and realizes he’s on a football field. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Brain zaps from meds maybe? There’s times where he has no idea what’s going on. -
Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake

I was putting a ceiling fan in my friends house today….I turn my head to look at the screen and there was Edmunds watching the RB run right on by him….reacts a second later and starts chasing him from behind. Doesn’t even throw an arm out there. Just frozen, watching dude run by. It’s like he looks at the runners feet and sees that he’s 1 inch past him, therefore isn’t responsible for the tackle. He’s always good for 3-4 plays that makes our entire room erupt in laughter. He’s so incredibly bad. That’s Edmunds in a nutshell. -
PFF grades Milano as league's best linebacker so far
Governor replied to Lothar's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We can enjoy our 6 weeks of healthy Milano. We all deserve it. We’ll probably never see it again. It’s not worth getting a bunch of old people riled up about right now. Enjoy the ride. 6 games might end up being 5 wins. I’ll take that any day. Lets let it go. -
Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake

We’ve heard people discuss Edmund’s specific role many times. Shouldn’t a player playing that specific role have 4-5 picks per season and a bunch of forced fumbles in the seams? I would think that role would make more of those plays than other LB’s. Does he high a good amount of pass breakups? I’ve seen at least 3 easy interceptions bounce right off his chest.
