After the inevitable happens again this year I think McD should get 1 more year but only if he hires a new DC that brings in a NEW scheme and McD is HC only. Use the next draft on defense for that new unit. Hands off the defense entirely. That should be the ultimatum or Josh should just leave. After the Rams game the media immediately blamed McD and his defense. I expect that to continue and he will be feasted upon. They’re getting ready to pounce and for good reason. This time, the whole world will know why the “league mvp” was again robbed of a SB.

Yes, they are the NFC team that I hate the least so I usually root for them.

Truth is, McD makes bad QBs look great too. His defense has always just sucked.

Based on how the Rams played their previous drive, and had no plans to kick a FG(since they didn’t want to give the ball back to us) I agree that there was zero chance they were running the ball 3 times and punting.

The difference there is not worth mentioning and certainly not why we lost the game. The game was over. Lol Now the other situation I initially felt we should’ve declined it but after seeing that it did essentially take them out of FG range (maybe) I was ok with that one. A coin flip basically and we would never know how much time off the clock we lost by that decision since it didn’t look like they were kicking a FG anyway.

Thinking we could kick it deep, use timeouts and get a stop, was laughable at that point. I think I agree with you. It was not considered an option.

Although, I’m half expecting the Ravens to collapse entirely so we would want Steelers going to KC. That would be a great game since KC doesn’t score many points.

We want to stay the 2 and we need the Steelers to stay the 3. That gives us the easiest path and would send Ravens to KC for a possible upset.

I really only see them losing 1 more game so they are likely going to be the 2 seed especially if we are resting players. We could easily lose 2 more. Only the Ravens have a worse defense than us of the teams headed to the playoffs.

If we do that the Steelers will jump ahead of us. Would you still do it?

Don’t forget Carolina. He did the same thing there but his defensive line was a little better. It’s why I always hated the hire and still hate it.

I don’t understand how some of you could complain about the refs when it was them that kept us in that game the entire time. That could’ve easily been a 17-20 point loss.

I think they’ve been using a safety first strategy the last 3 weeks so yes I don’t think the 1 seed is top priority. Our WR and TE would be out there if it was.

Complaining about a TO when the game was already over is pretty silly but his defense was horrible as usual. It will never be good enough and the special teams was bad again. These are known problems that haven’t been fixed, which falls on McD and his stubbornness.

The real coaching mistake is playing Milano, which is only good for a few games a season to begin with. The whole defense is out of sync now. That was really stupid.
