Seeing Smith-Marsette and Nixon going so close to where the Bills pick hurts a little. Both felt like great values here. Oh well. Bring on the developmental punter. -

Some of these guys are clearly falling due to medical questions that we fans don't have access to. Nixon, for instance. -

I think we can all agree on one point.... WE NEED MORE EDGE RUSHERS! -

People are about to be really mad when Beane drafts a safety and a linebacker. 😅 -

Preach! Say it louder for the folks in the back! The Bills went 13-3 and had the second best offense in the league last year. They’re getting back two starting guards who missed much or all of the year. They’re swapping out an injured John Brown for Sanders. They’re counting on a third year jump from Knox. Meanwhile, they DID NOT lose to the Chiefs because they lacked speed on offense. They lost in the trenches, specifically due to a lackluster pass rush. The notion that a fast WR or RB was gonna push us into the Super Bowl is crazy to me. Could we use some speed on offense? Sure. Was it the defining thing holding us back? Not even close. We also still have four picks left. People sometimes, man... -
Is this a real or Fake photo? Rousseau?

It's real. Forced perspective makes Rousseau seem taller than he is. -
New OT Spencer Brown joins mafia by jumping through table
Logic replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Dawkins or Daryl Williams miss any snaps this year, that's when we'll be REALLY glad we drafted Brown. Our tackle depth was....not so great, to put it kindly, before drafting Brown. Not that I think he'll immediately be a great player or anything. I realize he's a bit of a project. But man oh man, does he seem like a project well worth taking on. -

I said this last night and I'll just repeat it: Everyone says they love Beane, Beane is a wizard, big baller beane, and all that stuff.....until he doesn't draft the way they want him to draft. He TOLD us he drafts best player available. He TOLD us he drafts with the future in mind. He TOLD us he used free agency to fill "needs" so that he can just take BPA. And everyone cheered and said "yes! We love it! Beane is the man!". Then the draft started and he passed on players at "need" positions to take BPA and think about the future, and half of Bills Mafia got the pitchforks. You don't reach for need in the draft and skip better players at less "needed" positions in the process. You ESPECIALLY don't reach for need in the draft and skip better players when you already have a really good roster. And most bizarrely of all -- fixing the pass rush IS a huge need. Arguably the BIGGEST need! So anybody being upset that he addressed it aggressively in this draft is confusing to me. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.- 545 replies

New OT Spencer Brown joins mafia by jumping through table
Logic replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I kind of said this last night, but... I don't think I've ever so quickly gone from confounded/flummoxed/indifferent by a draft pick (a tackle? Really?) to absolutely loving the player and thinking he's gonna be a critical part of our team and being super glad we drafted him. One can not read about this dude, watch him in action, or consider his potential without becoming seriously ***** excited that he's a Buffalo Bill. -
RD 3, Pick 30 (93): Spencer Brown, OT (Northern Iowa)

Chad Forbes called him the Josh Allen of tackles, and he wasn't kidding. Quite a few parallels: - Grew up on a farm. - Played multiple sports in high school - Received only one college offer - Rare, eye popping athleticism - Giant like a mountain -

True, and then there's Richie Incognito levels of insanity, which is a whole other matter. 😳 -

In reading about this guy's intensity, dedication, and loyalty, and learning of his absolutely insane athletic ability and physical prowess and watching clips of him in action.... I am quickly going from "Who? What? Why?!?!" to "this is my favorite pick of the draft". This dude is an absolute unit, and I predict that it will not be long at all before Bills fans are extremely thankful that he's on our team. -

I was just reading Dane Brugler's scouting report on Brown, and I wanted you all to know that he says Brown has a "touch of insanity in his blocking". I like that. -

Yeah. I've read for three rounds running now how Beane is a fool, first for passing on Melifonwu in the 1st round, then for passing on him again in the 2nd round, then for passing on him again in the 3rd. Lo and behold, he didn't go until the late compensatory section of the 3rd round. People's refusal to back down from their draft crushes is weird sometimes. -

I just want to fast forward to the Rousseau vs Brown one-on-ones at training camp this summer.- 409 replies

Yeah. The Super Bowl showed us the value of good tackle depth. -

I feel much better about our tackle depth now, I'll tell you that. We were one Dion Dawkins or Daryl Williams injury away from entrusting Josh Allen's health to Bobby Hart before this pick. That's all I'm gonna say.- 409 replies

It's fun to open toys on Christmas morning, but sometimes what you really NEED is a pair of socks and a sweater. This is a "pair of socks and a sweater" kind of year.- 409 replies

Holy *****. I've never seen someone with a "10" RAS before. He ranked NUMBER ONE out of 1143 OT prospects in RAS between 1987 and 2021 😯- 409 replies

I don't think he said it definitively like it would always happen. I believe the exact quote was "he'll start at end, but you'll see him reduce down to the interior on 3rd down". It IS where he got his most sack production at Miami. 🤷♂️ I don't care where guys line up on the DL, so long as they get to the QB. Sack is a sack. -

I would just like to point out that our new EDGE tandem are called... Boogie and Groot. I'm not sure what else you want out of life. -

Basham sure seems like it. Lots of boards have him between 30th and 36th overall. I'm not so sure they came into today saying "we're gonna take another edge". But then they saw Basham sticking out like a sore thumb, and that was that. -

If you need to comfort yourself about back-to-back edge rushers, here's what I suggest: Go watch the AFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl back to back. Then crack a beer, smile, and get excited to see Groot and Boogie destroy Mahomes
