  1. I could watch this on repeat for the next hour. Insane, off-the-charts speed for a middle linebacker, let alone one the size of Tremaine Edmunds.
  2. I would have no problems at all spending our first two picks on interior offensive linemen in the upcoming draft, if there are two interior o-linemen worthy of picks that high. I presume we'll be picking toward the end of the 1st round, which is a sweet spot for either trading down into the early 2nd or for picking the best IOL on the board. Get a center as heir apparent to Morse and a guard. Protecting Josh Allen is priority #1, 2, and 3. Our tackle spots look secure, and I like Morse, but we need better interior play overall and some insurance in case Morse starts to decline. Corner is another great choice, but Levi Wallace has really stepped up this year, and I know they still like Dane Jackson. Taron Johnson was also just signed to an extension. Still, you can never have too many corners, so taking one high would be fine with me.
  3. Fair question, and the answer is: Social media. Particularly pictures of him wearing Dead gear. Oh, and this: https://www.facebook.com/BuffaloBills/videos/labatt-fun-fact-tommy-sweeney/1359240197568817/
  4. And then when you add in the free agent/trade acquisition contributors, the roster building looks even MORE impressive. Hyde Poyer Diggs Sanders Beasley Morse Feliciano Williams Lotulelei Klein Addison Pretty, pretty, prettttttty good!
  5. Just when I thought I couldn't love Josh any more. I bet Tommy Sweeney took him. Big Deadhead.
  6. Yeah... The big drum they bang before the game, the chop, the chant... All of it is super cringey.
  7. Collinsworth was bad, bad, bad. He made endless excuses for Mahomes, for the Chiefs offense, and for the Chiefs' struggles in general. Listening to him, I got the impression that he had a pre-conceived narrative of what he wanted to see play out, and he was almost disappointed when things didn't play out that way. For a defense to do to Mahomes and the Chiefs what the Bills defense just did is massively impressive. Points wise, it was the biggest regular season loss of the Mahomes era, but you sure wouldn't know it from listening to that broadcast. For a team to exit that game scoring 35 points per game over the last four games, AND having the number one defense in the league, AND destroying the Chiefs at Arrowhead, you'd think there would have been a lot of excitement and hype and accolades going the Bills' way...instead it was an immediate "what went wrong for the Chiefs?" post-mortem. Sure, he may have said a few nice things about the Bills, but it was too little, too late by far. That was NOT unbiased commentary. Collinsworth is arrogant, pompous, biased, and he doesn't add anything to the game whatsoever. I already don't much care for his mini-me son Jac (or the dumb spelling of his name), either. Load both Collinsworths into a cannon and fire them into the sun and be done with it.
  8. I've said this before, and I'm sure you've all just seen it with your own eyes, but... The Chiefs message board is an absolute cesspool. Truly horrific. I don't just mean that they're a bunch of homers or that the color scheme and layout are terrible, although both those things are true. I mean that they are legitimately rude, aggressive, vulgar, jerks. Always telling people to go kill themselves or to get AIDS and die. That's literally the type of stuff they say over there. It's awful. They're the worst. I don't think Chiefs fans are necessarily like that, for what it's worth. But that particular message board is certainly a vile tangle of deplorable goons.
  9. Oh, and this has probably already been posted here, I haven't checked, but... This cameraman is all of Bills Mafia last night...
  10. Let's see... - #1 Offense - #1 Defense - #1 in Takeaways - #1 in point differential - Slayed the Chiefs in primetime at Arrowhead The Bills are the best team in the league. That's not hyperbole or homerism, it's just the truth. It was SO satisfying to see Mahomes rattled, jumpy, inaccurate, and generally stomping around like a pissy brat. It was SO satisfying to come out of that infuriating rain delay and STILL kick the Chiefs' asses up and down the field. Josh Allen doesn't really have to prove anything else, in my opinion. He can beat good defenses, he can overcome bad weather, he can out-duel other elite QBs, he can play in hostile environments, he can play on primetime, he can win playoff games. I suppose all that's left for him to do is, well....you know. What a game, what a night, what a team! GO BILLS!!!
  11. If an even mildly attractive woman is mentioned on TBD, it is a lead pipe lock that there will be a minimum of three people talking about their desire to have intercourse with her. Death, taxes, and horny TBD posters who can’t NOT sexualize a woman and tell us all about it. Guarantees.
  12. Bloody hell. 🤨
  13. Pete Carroll chews his gum like it ***** his wife. Also, Pete Carroll should have been fired like five years ago.
  14. Been steadily trucking through my chronological listen to every available Grateful Dead soundboard recording starting in the beginning of 1972. I'm up to winter '73 now. It's been fascinating. First of all, it has allowed me a new appreciation of just how different the Dead sound from era to era. I used to just think of a song or group of songs I wanted to hear and then pick an era of show accordingly. Or I'd just randomly pick a Dick's Picks show and listen to it. It's all the Grateful Dead. "It all rolls into one". Doing it the way I'm doing it now, by honing in on a specific era and going show by show, has already demonstrated, for instance, the differences between even '72 and '73. Heck, it has illustrated the differences between spring and fall of '72! [1972 note: The Bird Songs were so otherworldly, and the one song that I came away loving so, so much that I didn't expect was "Sing Me Back Home", which is just the most perfect and soulful gospel-tinged ballad to bring you in for a safe landing after those mind-melting '72 Dark Stars] Most of all, it has illustrated to me what I always suspected but can now say with confidence: My favorite Dead era is 72-73. Lots of reasons. One drummer sounds much better to my ears than the "sneakers rolling around in a washing machine" sound (Jerry's words, not mine) that the two drummers often displayed. Keith's playing is much more alert, creative, and beautiful than it would be later in his tenure, and it adds SO MUCH to the overall sound of the band. Jerry is not yet opium addicted and the band has not yet fully fallen into constant cocaine use. Instead, acid is still often the flavor of the night for several of the band members. [I haven't gone through '74 yet, but I do know that the band was heavily into cocaine by that point and was having a lot less fun, so I'm skeptical about liking it as much as the current golden era in which I find myself.] There is a youthful energy, creativity, alertness, and spark that I sometimes find lacking in later years (even the much ballyhooed '77), when the various members had fallen into their various addictions. The band is still having FUN, they're still on a grand adventure. They're still listening to each other. It's late enough into their existence that they have the skillful jazz improvisation chops and refined playing, but early enough that they're still playing Dark Stars and Other Ones and brain-frying Playin in the Bands. I'm up to winter '73, which Dick Latvala once cited as the one era that he could spend his whole life in. I can't really disagree with him. If high energy, fun, rockin' Dead is your thing, you've got excellent renditions of Mexicali Blues, the Race is On, China>Rider (with that great "Feelin Groovy" transition that they did in '73 only), They Love Each Other (original, faster tempo), Big River, Bertha, Greatest Story Ever Told. If cosmic jazz jams are your thing, you've got Here Comes Sunshine, Weather Report Suite, Playin' in the Band, Eyes of the World, Dark Star, The Other One. If you like Jerry ballads, there's China Doll, Stella Blue, Row Jimmy, Uncle John's Band...in short, the band is absolutely firing on all cylinders and offers a mix of everything you could possibly want from the Dead. Everyone is happy, healthy, alert, and playing at a high level. The song selection is top notch. Some great winter '73 shows, you ask? Any of them. Literally any of them. For starters, though, 11/11, 11/25, and 11/30. I'm starting December now, so ask again later.
  15. We could talk all day and night about the various matchups, scheme minutiae, and variables for this game. Instead, I'll say it's pretty simple: If Good Josh shows up -- the guy we saw against Seattle, the Rams, the 49ers, and the Dolphins in 2020 -- the Bills win. If it's Bad Josh -- the guy who's jittery, hyper, who gets overwhelmed by weather or setting or opponent -- the Bills lose. I know, I know....not too earth shattering to say that if our quarterback plays very well, we win. But to me, it's just that simple. The rest of the matchups are either even or favor Buffalo. THE key variable is QB vs QB. Where for art thou, Good Josh?
  16. I'll be the first second poor soul to predict a loss, and subsequently catch a hell-storm of ***** for being too negative. I predicted 12-5 before the season. The Steelers, Chiefs, Bucs, Titans, and Saints were my predicted losses. Honestly, it wouldn't shock me at this point if the Bills wind up going 13-4 instead, because the Titans and Saints no longer look that impressive to me. That said, I'm still predicting the Chiefs win. They're getting some key players back on defense, whereas the Bills may be missing Milano and Rousseau. The Chiefs are at home. Until I see the Bills go toe-to-toe with the Chiefs and really look like they belong, I have a hard time picking Buffalo. 31-26 Chiefs.
  17. Wasn't so sure this deserved its own thread, so I'll just post it here. Bills are still one of top teams in the league in 4th down decision making. In fact, this chart tracks all the way back to 2017, and I feel their 4th down decision making has gotten much better the last couple of seasons. I'd be willing to be they'd be ranked even higher than the 6th spot if the chart only went back as far as 2019 rather than 2017.
  18. Obviously winning would be the best outcome and the clearest statement. However, given how over-matched the Bills look the last time these two teams were on the field, I think that even a close game that comes down to the last possession would represent a step forward for this Bills team. I'm not "okay" with losing this game, I just accept it as -- at this point in time, based on what we saw twice last year -- a reasonably likely outcome.
  19. I just want to see the Bills legitimately go toe-to-toe with the Chiefs in a thrilling, back and forth, "game of the year" type contest. I mean, obviously I want the Bills to win, and would prefer they absolutely dominate the Chiefs. But if they could at least look like they belong on the same FIELD as Kansas City this game (as opposed to the AFCCG, where they looked overmatched the whole way through), that would be great. I want this Bills squad to come out confident, aggressive, and to show the whole world that they belong in the "best team in the league" conversation. If they lose, they lose, but I want to at least see signs that they're truly ready for the big time.
  20. The Nature Boy said it best... To be the man, you've gotta beat the man!
  21. Seems like a terrible guy to me... https://www.distractify.com/p/lebron-james-charity-donations LeBron James has made *a lot* of charity donations over the years. No discussion of LeBron’s charitable history is complete without first covering his very own charity foundation: The LeBron James Family Foundation. The foundation is one of the main ways that LeBron gives back to his hometown of Akron, Ohio. It provides students with programs, support, and mentors to help them succeed in school (and beyond). The foundation also supports the I Promise School in Akron, which is specifically aimed at supporting at-risk children and providing them with a stable learning environment both at school and at home. While the school is a public school (and thus funded by taxpayers), LeBron’s foundation donates more than $1 million per year to the school, which goes toward teacher salaries and keeping class sizes manageable.
  22. 99% of the hate directed towards Lebron in this thread seems to be of the "I don't like his stances on political issues" variety. Folks that would prefer he "shut up and dribble". Pretty funny, since many of these same folks will be the first to pull the "DON'T YOU DARE ATTACK MAH FIRST AMMENDMENT FREEDOMS!!!!" card.
  23. There are just so many people that I don't like on my TV screen right now. This is awful. At least Gronk isn't there and Vrabel's team lost today. Just a gross vomit party. Rooting for a zero-zero tie.
  24. "...like when we used the climb the ropes in gym class"
  25. I suppose I was only thinking about recent history, say the the past 10-15 years. I'm certainly aware of the Ruben Browns, Billy Shaws, and Joe DeLamielleures of the world. Really, all that's relevant is what this current front office does, though. All signs point to guard not being one of their priority positions, at least as it relates to prime draft capital.
