This had me laughing pretty good
-
I saw this posted three minutes ago and was like “let me hustle over to TSW to post the good news”. But as the website was loading, I thought “nah…YOLO already posted it.” Sure enough. Fastest hands in the East.

Dorsey called such a good game that as I was driving to work this morning, I literally had the thought "I wonder how many seasons the Bills will get to keep him before someone hires him to be their head coach." I know, I know....getting way ahead of myself. But that was a really impressive debut from Dorsey. Excited to see what he has in store in week two.

What games are you interested to watch this weekend?
Logic replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Given that the Bills won, watching just about any and every football game this weekend should be a blast. In particular, the Phins/Pats, Chargers/Raiders, and Broncos/Seahawks games catch my eye. I couldn't care less about Tom Brady going to Dallas. I hate him and I hate them. I will root for a 0-0 tie and a bland, under-salted pre-game meal for all involved. -
Didn't seem to hurt 'em last night.

I don't know about greatest day to be a Bills fan, but it's been a hilarious day to be on Twitter. In just the last hour, I've seen a Barstool Sports article titled "Josh Allen was apparently laughing like a maniac every time he got hit last night" and seen Josh Allen referred to as "if a golden retriever were a quarterback", so....pretty good day on the interwebs.

Rest? If anything, coach is gonna spend the extra downtime trying to find ways to improve his clapping. It's important to keep a growth mindset.

I was kidding. I know that it's unreasonable to label 100% of ANY group of people a certain thing. But I AM fairly, um...not-fond of most of the Titans fans I've ever interacted with.
-
I don't want to make any blanket statements or anything, but.... Every single Titans fan, without exception, is a garbage person.

May I politely suggest lying down with a lady in the adult fashion, whilst just THINKING about JA17? Kind of the best of both worlds there.

The Bills won last night because.... (karma reasons only)
Logic replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I sat in the good chair. At one point, my ass starting getting kind of numb and I thought of getting up and moving, but I thought "nah, I can't risk it". I stayed in the good chair. My ass fell fully asleep. You're welcome. -
Remember those huge plays he gave up last night against the potent Rams' passing offense? Remember how out of place he looked on an NFL field? Nope. Me neither.
-
If there's any chance that the injury he has is the type that can easily be re-aggravated, I'd rather they hold him out next week, even if he COULD play. Bills have one of the best medical staffs in the league, so I'll trust whatever they say of course. But sometimes, you have to protect a player from himself.

In terms of playoff seeding, this game -- being a conference matchup -- is actually of much greater importance than the Rams game. Having one extra week of rest come playoff time and forcing every other AFC team to come to Buffalo will be HUGE to the Bills' chances of advancing to the Super Bowl. To that end, even though it's week 2, it is a pivotal matchup for Buffalo. We saw just last season how conference losses can cost the Bills homefield advantage and thus, potentially, a Super Bowl trip. Big game. 10 days rest. Confidence. A desire for revenge after last year's prime time loss to the Titans. Let's go, Buffalo!!!

Josh Allen's Incredible Accuracy Makes the Bills Unstoppable (article)
Logic replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I respect that approach, and I will respectfully not be following it. Am I predicting a Super Bowl trophy after last night's game? Not necessarily. Am I going to bask in the superlatives and admiration from national analysts and fans after the Bills continued to make NFL history (just the fourth 90% 3rd down conversion rate game in 40 years, no punts in four of last six games), and soak up every bit of joy and happiness that comes along with having a generational QB and the best roster in the league -- ESPECIALLY after enduring a 17 year period of bad football and national irrelevance? Hell yes. Besides, the players need to say "on to next week" and not get caught up in the press clippings. The fans do not need to follow that model. Overly excited fans aren't going to cause the Bills to lose football games. Different writer. That was Steven Ruiz, who is a butthole. This is Rodger Sherman, who USED to be a butthole, but has repeatedly eaten crow regarding his "Allen will never be any good" takes from 2018 draft season.- 44 replies

Nice read. I'll post a couple snippets. https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2022/9/9/23344053/buffalo-bills-los-angeles-rams-josh-allen-von-miller The Bills didn’t punt. Again. Last season there were 285 NFL games in the regular season and playoffs, meaning there were 570 individual team games. Eleven times, an offense managed to go all game without punting—that’s just 1.9 percent of all team games. The Buffalo Bills have now done it four times in their past six games, dating back to Week 16 of last season. They didn’t punt in their 33-21 win over the Patriots in Week 16, or in their 29-15 win over the Falcons in Week 17. Their wild-card playoff game against the Pats was arguably the greatest offensive performance in NFL history—seven drives, seven touchdowns, no field goals, turnovers, turnovers on downs, or punts. The Chiefs ended Buffalo’s season in the divisional round, but it feels unfair to say Kansas City stopped Josh Allen—after all, Allen left the game with the lead and 13 seconds remaining. (You know what happened next.) Thursday night, Buffalo opened the 2022 NFL season by crushing the defending Super Bowl champion Rams, 31-10. They converted nine of 10 third downs, becoming just the fourth team in the past 40 years to hit on 90 percent of third downs. Their new punter, Sam Martin, got paid to visit L.A. and hold on some field goals and extra points. He should’ve brought one of those frozen margarita mixers down to the sideline. It feels like I’m being metaphorical or hyperbolic when I say the Bills are unstoppable. But they didn’t punt. Again. For the fourth time in six games. They are more likely to not punt than they are to punt.... ....The Bills scored 21 unanswered points in the second half. Allen finished the game 26-of-31 with three touchdowns, plus the rushing score. He throws for accuracy, he throws deep balls, he runs over dudes, he makes perfect throws on the run. What the hell can you do to stop him? NFL teams have five months to figure that out—but I don’t like their chances. Meanwhile, the Bills’ punter has five months to figure out what the hell he’s supposed to do on the sideline of these games. He should consider turning the kicking net into a hammock, although it’s probably gonna be hard to nap when his teammates are going nuts for touchdowns all the time.

Seeing babies associated with Bills games doesn't surprise me. I imagine there will be a whole slew of Bills fan babies born about 9 months from last night.

I'll be there. I'm 100% gonna lose my voice, and I may die of alcohol poisoning from having such a long day of tailgating. Can't ***** wait. Gonna be one of the louder Bills home openers in recent memory.

Week 1 - Bills 31 ~ Rams 10 - Morning After Breakdown And Reaction
Logic replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks for the writeup. Things I noticed on offense: - Finally -- FINALLY! -- the Bills made corners pay for lining up 10 yards off the receivers at the snap. They almost never did this under Daboll. Quick hitches, slants, that little screen to Crowder...this is such a key thing that the Bills have potentially added to their offensive arsenal. - Second quickest snap-to-throw time of Allen's career. Surely this short passing game script was a response to the presence of Aaron Donald. But if Allen has mastered the short game to this degree, look out NFL. - Davis played 30% more snaps than Diggs, and may already be the Bills' de facto #1 WR. If he's not there yet, I predict he will be by season's end. - Crowder looked smart and savvy out there. In my opinion, is going to wind up getting more snaps from the slot this year than McKenzie. Just my prediction. - Dorsey called a masterful game and Allen executed it wonderfully. 9 out of 10 on third downs simply does not happen in the NFL. Wow. Things I noticed on defense: - The Bills blitzed ZERO times, but managed 7 sacks, 15 QB hits, and 3 INTs. - McDermott and Frazier may FINALLY achieve their dream of creating consistent pressure on the QB without ever having to blitz. If so, look out NFL. - Hyde and Poyer are still absolutely elite, and are the biggest factor in the Bills being able to play the type of pass defense they do. - Benford did NOT look like a rookie out there. Elam did a bit at times, but certainly wasn't a disaster. - Jordan Phillips is about to have a monster year. -
I do not enjoy listening to Chris Collinsworth. I don't see that changing. Mike Tirico, however, had the quote of the night. "The Rams put up a banner and the Bills put on a show."

There's always gotta be one. Congrats.

Let's see.... - Bills offense had 413 yards and was 9/10 on 3rd down. 9 out of 10 !!!! That DOES NOT HAPPEN in the NFL! - Dorsey looked fantastic as a playcaller. The moment was not too big for him. - Josh Allen was 26/31 passing and spread the ball around to 7 different pass catchers - Stefon Diggs punked Jalen Ramsey. A lot. - Bills defense recorded 7 sacks, 3 interceptions, held "genius" McVay's offense to 10 points, and shut them out in the second half - Von Miller had 2 sacks - Bills defense consistently got pressure with only the front four - McVay, who was 5-0 on opening night, was handed his first opening night loss, on banner-raising night, in the Rams' house! - Bills won by 21 despite turning the ball over FOUR TIMES!!! My goodness....what a night. What a night. I'm gonna lose my voice in the stadium next week, 100% So proud of this team. GO BILLS!!!!!
