  1. The Bills don't have any players on defense with the same level of elite playmaking as the truly elite defenses do. They are a good unit and definitely did enough to win today, but they aren't going to hold up against better teams and QBs the way that the Jets contained us. We don't have the personnel for it. If Beane hadn't have drafted Josh Allen I really think he should be gone by now.
  2. I didn't think they looked that bad. Spencer Brown was the only one jumping out as being outmatched consistently. The Jets front is incredible and as much as I wish the line was the main issue to soothe the burn of that offensive performance, I just don't see it here.
  3. He became magical for a stretch where it seemed like every first down you needed you would get. He went toe to toe with Mahomes in the playoffs and had him dead to rights. There has been a ton of regression since then. That feeling of always being a moment away from a chunk play has passed. It's hard from a fan perspective to identify how much of that is losing Daboll and the scheme, how much is other teams adapting their strategy, and how much of that is simply Josh Allen's personal regression. My gut at this point is that Allen has some sort of mental issue going on as it relates to performance and confidence. The scheme making things more difficult could certainly be tied in with that, as making his job easier could help him settle in. Also he suffered through some awful line play last year, which can develop some bad habits. The raw ability is still there, but he's not performing anywhere near his public perception for quite some time now.
  4. At least the rest of the line has seemed to hold up pretty nicely thus far.
  5. Better rendition than the typical self important famous singer for sure
  6. I feel like we'll know the story after watching the interior of our offensive line for 3 plays.
  7. My experience entailed looking at the offering on their website, noting the price, and the blackouts. My experience hitting the X at the top right to close that page was seamless, as was my experience watching the games blackout free without giving the NFL a dollar for it.
  8. I'm not particularly negative on McDermott, but Josh Allen is the ticket. Let's not kid ourselves. Beane hit with him and he's going to be riding that goodwill for a while. It's not easy to take a risk and find a QB.
  9. Why not just allocate that towards keeping Edmunds if you are inclined to overvalue your own picks? I'm hoping that aren't too many more bad long term deals that will hamper the next GM into the future
  10. Hopefully this is true for Kincaid as well.
  11. Given the lack of injuries here, it's fun to imagine the perspective of the occupants of the car that went flying. That had to be so unexpected and so disorienting to just suddenly be flying through the air as if the laws of physics suddenly stopped applying. I wonder if they even had any idea what had happened prior to an eventual explanation or seeing the footage.
  12. Drafting talented players who produce will eventually result in having more flexibility to meet all of your needs anyhow. The core issue is finding talent. We seem to struggle at that regardless of the position
  13. Isn't Dan Marino one of the only QBs in the modern era who was top 5 in his day who didn't win a Superbowl? Most of the other ones eventually seem to get around to it. Jim Kelly as well maybe?
  14. The grass and the footing issues last night was a huge competitive disadvantage for the eagles as it nullified their strength on defense a bit and made it easier on the o-lines
  15. My enthusiasm is hampered by the salary cap more than the coaching, although they make an unpleasant couple
  16. For the offensive side, look at how clean Kansas City pocket is most plays. It's just not even comparable on that front, so not only coaching on that side. Overall though the play calling is on another level with KC, that is true
  17. On the over and KC -2.5. Lets go Chiefs, I want to see that Burrowhead trash talk blow up all over the internet after this one is over
  18. Who is the crybaby now? I'd love to see you say a word to Stefon Diggs to his face cheetofingers
  19. Imagining the Cheeto dust flying off of those keys as you write this just lol
  20. Everyone was so mad when we came over here at the time the old one closed I remember. They pretty much were giving a eulogy
  21. I don't think it's anything other than talent in the trenches and at skill positions. We aren't competitive with the top of the league in either. Josh could probably overcome the deficit at the skill positions with a clean pocket, but we aren't going anywhere with these lines regardless of anything else. At some point, drafting a star QB is going to be too far in the rear view mirror to keep justifying the glaring problems with the roster construction. Beane should be on the hot seat right now, let alone McDermott
